The taste took away from eggs that were properly prepared and a nice chicken fried steak (gravy could have used some more flavor). The toast was very good; homemade and thick slices. The coffee was hot and generous. Service was good and everyone in the group liked their meals. To a person, they all liked the homemade toast and berry preserves. Aside from the hashbrowns, a mark against the place was its cleanliness. It was in need of a deep clean; especially the baseboards and the grate on the heating/cooling unit. With all the meat markets we have here. But a restaurant hands are tied. Why Sysco blocks local meat sourcing 1. Exclusive purchasing contracts Most Sysco agreements require: * 80-100% of food spend through Sysco * Meat is always included in that requirement Buying steaks from a local butcher = contract violation.
