The food was very good... had branzino. Well cooked, and thoroughly enjoyed. The service was really warm and personal, and our waitress took great care of us. Ambiance was okay in the dining room that is located away from the bar on the other side. This is a great local place that I might have passed and never went in, but my sister suggested we give it a try. When I am back in the area, I hope to go back. read more

The chef-made entrees are delicious and they even go out of their way to indulge me with interesting cocktail concoctions that I challenge them with. Another restaurant with a cozy vibe. The chicken dish I ordered was over-cooked. The artichoke was hard, and the dish was soaked in butter overload. They never change the appetitizer variety. The old ones are not so appetizing at that. The waitress was not friendly and could care less what I was asking or saying upon ordering. She only showed interest toward the end of the meal, which is no shock because that's tip time. read more

Absolutely crappy service. Seated at 615p and now it's 735p and still waiting on our entrees. Waitresses pay special attention to regulars and ignore those who aren't. Haven't been here in a decade, and have no intention of ever coming back. For the prices charged i can go else where and get better service cheaper. Unfortunately they totally missed the mark on a brunch I attended there. The woman who was serving was unfriendly and incompetent. They set up the serving station with dirty scrambled eggs, i mean who screws up eggs? The bacon and sausage were decent but using yesterdays Italian bread to make French toast was horrid. They were supposed to have an omelet station and when the host inquired why that wasn't provided they offered omelets go whoever might want one even though everyone had already suffered through the buffet. Water glasses were full but juice, coffee, tea were scarce. The bagels on the tables were beyond not fresh although the fruit was. Thank goodness the host had set up there own desert table that was wonderful so the guests left on a high note. read more

A very strong 4. Don't let the total dive decor fool you, this place offers some of the best food in the area, probably the best on Larkfield, & all of East Northport for that matter. Seriously, the decor is about as divvy as you can get to the point that you almost get a weird feeling when you fist walk in for the first time. Don't be scared off, it really is uniformly excellent food. I have literally never had anything that wasn't good here. Smart locals know this and many try as hard as they can to keep it a pseudo-secret. While not necessarily cheap, (DInner entrees top out in the high 30s dollar wise) portions are suburbanly large, and an incredible value can be found during the day 7 days a week by utilizing the exceptional 10 Dollar Lunch Special. Its a very very good thing. Some of the stars on the menu for me include the mind blowingly gluttonous one of a kind burger. Its gigantic; almost on the verge of something you would see on that man vs food show, and is LOADED to the fullest amount conceivable with cheese, bacon, and tiny fried onions. You gotta be really hungry to finish the whole thing, but even if you only finish half it still will have been a damn good half burger. There accompanied by excellent fries which also come with any of the first class sandwiches offered on the lunch list, my favorite, and the relatively healthiest choice I suppose (although if your looking to eat healthy this place probably isn't the wisest choice) the grilled chicken sandwich. I think it is named after someone named Maloney or something like that. The chickens gotta be marinated in something really good and is well served by Roasted peppers Fresh Mozzarella and the whole works on a real good hero roll. Other equally delicious sandwiches include the breaded and fried chicken cutlet, and skirt steak. The pasta choices are just as good however, and includes my personal favorite of the entire lunch special, the Penne Alla Vodka. I am always partial to this dish, which some claim as Long Islands own, and this place may well be the gold standard for me. The sauce is ideal & just like that burger this Penne is fully loaded; Shrimp, Mushrooms, Bacon & Chives! There is a ton of other options too many to list here. Service is relaxed, casual and full of good humor. The bar is usually a jovial scene presided over by a quick witted bartender, and they make a fine Bloody Mary. The dining room is usually packed with families and regulars in all areas are treated extra special, which is very important. The chef owner is a great guy and he respects and loves his customers as much as they do him. Besides the decor, which really does need some updating my only other small complaint with the place is that the beer selection really needs some improvement. Asking for a beer and hearing the options might cause you to feel like you are having a flashback to the early 90s. Consdering this, I am very excited to check the owners new place soon to open (at the time of this writing) in downtown Northport. Rumor has it the place is beautiful with a gorgeous bar as its centerpiece. Rob himself told me it will have a even more eclectic and creative menu and 16 GOOD beers on tap. The owner is very rude and not accommodating when had a party there years ago. Food was good but she left little to be desired and every request asked was an issue with her personal opinion thrown in to the conversation . She also was not available at the times she said she would be there to discuss the party, she was a no show. I would not recommend solely because of her. I wanted to update after being out of town for about a year. I don't often give a business 5 stars as I tend to discount overly glowing reviews on Yelp as a post by a friend of the business. The five stars stays in place in the case of Crossroads, however. Chef Rob is a man who truly is passionate about his cooking and his service. Pretty much everything is good, but when you go, pay special attention to the off-menu specials. Rob is a really creative individual when it comes to food, and whether it's a fish, a meat or even a salad, he's always looking to be innovative. It's one of my favorite places in the Northport/ East Northport area to dine out in. My fiancee raves about the salads here as some of the best she's ever had. I can't get excited over that though when the pasta is the best anywhere. I'm partial to the penne with vodka sauce. Steak is good here too, as are the lunchtime burgers. Wow! What exceptional food & service. My boyfriend & I stopped in for a quick bite last night but ended up staying for hours ! The complimentary bread & hummus hooked us when we sat down , not to mention that our waitress had a cold refill of my beer waiting for me the moment I finished my first . She read my mind. The house salad was delicious & our entrees exceptional . The waitress recommended the grouper & my boyfriend picked the penne - both were delicious ! We hosted my sons communion lunch here and we have no complaints. Service was good. The owner is also one of the chefs and she takes a lot pride in the food. Everyone enjoyed it. The price is reasonable. The food quality surpasses the ambiance. I would give the food 5 stars and the ambiance 3 a 4 stars. Very misleading when you first enter. Really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere was nice, my dinner was good the apps were poorly seasoned and very small, the complimentary hummus was delicious but more than likely came from a can because it taste just like the one from stop and shop. The waitress was RUDE and gave my 3 year old a wine glass full of water to drink from- and never brought the orange juice we ordered for him. Another waitress brought over a second beer without anyone asking her to do so and while the gesture was nice, we didn't want it and paid for it-annoying. There was a party of 35-40 people which was fine they were respectful and quite despite the fact that a lot of them were kids so I can understand that the waitress may have been busy but she was over the top rude for no reason The bar scene was insane yelling,clapping,being obnoxious and the waitresses and bartenders were encouraging it. It would have been fine if we didn't spend $200+ on dinner at a place where you expect to go and not have a crowd of hooligans yelling at each other and the Tv. My husband and I have been going to this place since we first moved into the area. We were looking for something close with good food, our neighbor suggested Crossroads. I have to admit, I had overlooked this place since its appearance was nothing to write home about. I am so glad I set aside my preference for ambiance, since it has turned out to be one of my favorite local places to eat. During dinner, along with bread at the table, they serve the most amazing chick pea salad aka... hummus. I ask for it, even if I happen there at lunch. I love their Cajun shrimp appetizer, the house salad is good but I love their Ceasar. The lettuce is super chilled and crisp. Both come with Parmesan croutons that you will dream about in the days that follow. As far as main dishes, my husband and I have enjoyed skirt steak, house special fish and Osso Bucco that wasn't greasy and just melted in your mouth. This place was recommended by a friend. I was Extremely disappointed to say the least. We had buffet brunch party package which which consisted assorted bagels which tasted stale. Scrambled eggs eh ,quiche was over cooked. Omelets made to order any way liked were offered after breakfast was served and we were 2 options 3 cheese and ham and cheese. Crossroads French Toast or Country style French Toast with Maple syrup I don't know with option we received but it on seeded Italian bread and tough if you diverticulitis pass on the French toast. we had a gift card for crossroads café donated to our department at the VA hospital. we had a catered lunch delivered today and it was PHENOMENAL! the food was all fresh, piping hot and delicious. there were so many compliments. the service was fabulous and they even donated the difference between the cost of the catering and the amount on the gift card. i would not hesitate to use them for catering again and i can't wait for the chance to eat at the restaurant. read more

Just had dinner there with my family. The food was very good however there was one waitress that was absolutely terrible. Her attitude was unacceptable. She made rude faces and answered a older man who was with his family in a disrespectful and condescending manner. I advised someone working there that I've been there 3 other times in the daytime as we own a local business and this is the last time i will dine there. My husband and I went to the Crossroads to celebrate Thanksgiving this year. We've haven't been there in some time. The food was absolutely fantastic. Everything was fresh. Fresh vegetables with dinner versus frozen. Fresh cut lettuce in our salads with lovely homemade dressing and Gorgonzola cheese. Delightful! And the homemade roasted red pepper hummus that we had while reviewing the menu was to die for. I had the grouper for dinner, my husband linguini with clam sauce. Both were fantastic. I drove all the way from Poughkeepsie to be apart of my best friend's wedding & do her makeup-- when the morning of I was struck with WILD food poisoning. I'd chalk it up to coincidence if the bride's brother-in-law wasn't doubled over in pain. Not to mention, the bride was ALSO feeling ill (luckily for her-- she stopped eating half way through her meal so she escaped certain misery). I was violently vomiting from 7am THROUGH her ceremony. I didn't get to wear my dress, I didn't get to hear her vows-- I missed the entirety of her wedding ceremony. If you ever wanted to miss out on the most important day in your best friend's life, definitely hold your rehearsal dinner at Crossroads. The one star is strictly for the staff, they were so kind and extremely helpful. They did get a big party so they were kind of in the weeds but still came up to our table with a smile on their faces when they had the chance. The food was below sub par to say the least. A $42 chewy dry charcoal flavored porterhouse steak COVERED in fried onions....like the kind they have at chilis. Nope! Nope! Nope! This is what ignited this review. We did have the oyster "samba" that was good, never had anything like it! And the Chicken Christina...could be made at home with Costco bought chicken and microwaveable vegetables. The whole meal from start to finish was comparable to for the 2 for $20 at Applebee's. This place used to be amazing, but has really gone down hill. Will not be back any time soon, sorry but Rob used to make great food.. I don't know what's happened. I had lobster special, full meal with salad for $25; father had kobe burger (the small one, which was very large), and mom had oysters to start and a special pasta with shrimp and lobster. Delicious humus and bread appetizer is complimentary to start. Everything was so delicious and the trays were full to capacity. My guests raves about the food and kept asking where I ordered from. Crossroads delivered, and the woman who set everything up was incredible. She made sure everything was just where I wanted it and even left a few serving towels in case I wanted to move any trays (so I wouldn't have to find my oven mitts!) This place is just great! I have passed it by a million times, and I'm glad I went in. The bartenders are efficient and very friendly. The beers are cold and the Long Island Ice Teas were made perfectly. After a few libations, we decided to have lunch. They even have a price fixe menu, with fantastic options. The selection is fabulous. Seafood is very fresh and made to order. The noise level was a bit on the high side, but everyone was nice and having a good time. The waitress was excellent and anticipated our every need. Very accommodating. She was ready with our drinks with perfect timing. We didnt even have to ask for them! Superior service. The food came out at just the right time. All the courses were served with just enough time. Nice light conversation with the waitress and she was actually quite funny. Very attentive. Lighting and decor are pleasant. Restrooms are clean and well stocked with soap and the basic necessities. Parking can be tricky at peak times, but parking is ample. Convenient location.
