Lobster Bisque
TAli A.

I made a 715 reservation on. OpenTable arrived a few minutes early and was still able to be seated immediately. We decided to sit in the outdoor section on the water, which was beautiful being able to watch the sunset and all of the boats. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and has some very good suggestions. The oysters and the lobster bisque were amazing. The cocktails were also made very well. I had the seafood platter which was great, and my husband had the grilled Seabass, which also was very tasty. We finished off the night with the crème brûlée. Overall, it was a great experience and we definitely will be back again!!

Shrimp and Crab Wonton appetizer ~ 10.4.25
Teresa L.

Captain Bills serves up what most would expect from an off the water restaurant location. Opted to start with their Shrimp & Crab Wonton appetizer which was a fun way to present these flavors a bite at a time. Then to keep things different and fresh opted to jump into one of the daily specials of Scallop Remoulade with summer slaw and old bay seasoned fries special (10.4.25). The Scallops were fresh and tasty along with sauce. The summer slaw was special, not being your typical overly mayo/vinegar dressed salad, but keeping things lightly dressed, crunchy and fresh along with the seasoned fries. My Mr got a standard burger and suggested it was as expected. The atmosphere in the outdoor seating was still nice for an October afternoon, not being overly crowded. The service was kind, but a bit slow to get what seemed to be simple items out. All in all a good dining experience where I would consider going back again to try more of the menu.

The brunch food was excellent and replenished quickly to feed the masses. Service was lacking. The table next to us got plenty of service but we were ignored. Couldn't get refills in coffee, water or drinks. Plates sat on the table. Anytime we wanted anything we had to flag staff down. They spent a lot of time speaking amongst themselves in a small closet.

Crispy Fried Calamari

Came here during LI Restaurant Week and had a great time! Even though it was extremely busy on a Friday night, the service was excellent. We did have to valet the car due to the volume of people there, but did not have an issue. I had the calamari for a starter, which was perfectly crispy though I wish there was a bit more flavor. The salmon entree was delicious though, paired with steamed vegetables. For dessert, I had the fudge brownie which was warm and gooey. Overall, a great experience!

Decent place for brunch- the views are amazing on the water, plenty of staff to take away dirty plates and refill your glass. The food was good, all the basics of brunch but unfortunately for someone who doesn't eat pork there were no breakfast meat alternatives. They did have a carving station with beef, but I was more interested in the shrimp. Someone in my party can't eat chocolate and we had to ask several people if we could get waffles without chocolate sauce on top. Our waitress said it wasn't possible to get a plain waffle, but after waiting by the kitchen doors and asking a few other employees, we were able to get some plain waffles without chocolate sauce on top. The dessert table was impressive, with tons of options. With an endless boozy brunch of either Bloody Mary, champagne or mimosa, it definitely made things better overall.

Crab stuffed salmon special

The view was amazing, the food was even better, and the dogs on the boat docked next to our table were adorable! But our waitress, Jessica was by the far the best part of our meal. She was awesome and recommended so many amazing things. I had the crab stuffed salmon special with a lobster beurre blanc sauce, and honestly, I can't stop thinking about it. My husband started with Blue Point oysters and had horseradish crusted grouper for dinner which was yummy! My nephew had French onion soup and prime rib, and my mother had the pork chop. We all loved our meals! I cannot wait to come back here! I will totally request Jessica as our waitress again! The staff did an amazing job helping my nephew when he had a panic attack. Honestly, I was so impressed by the care and compassion that everyone showed him. If you haven't tried this restaurant you really should. I can't say a bad thing about it!

Went for restaurant. Week and got the $47 , 3 course meal. Wish they had more than 1 salad in appetizer choice as everything else was shellfish , which we don't eat. Even a different salad option would have been appreciated. That said , the arugula salad was delicious and the choice of entree was excellent! I had the tuna and my husband had the catch of the day which was stripped bass, both excellent. I had the bread pudding which was wonderful and cappuccino and my husband the apple crisp, also good. Was surprised that the cappuccino was $9, but that's the way things are now. There is valet parking or you can park yourself! There was a big wedding going on but still adequate parking . The view on the water is spectacular. A very special setting ! There is an outdoor deck on the water during warmer months. Service was very good, water filled up regularly. I just don't know why I hadn't been here before?? lol.

A beautiful spring day to visit, staff is excellent. White tablecloths, immaculate with the creek's view at window. Food is marginal and not cheap. House wine markup high.

We recently celebrated my son and future daughter-in-law's engagement party here, and it was an incredible experience. The staff was absolutely wonderful--professional, attentive, and kind. A special thank you to Anna, who was truly amazing throughout the entire event. Regrettably, I don't have the names of everyone to give a personal thank you to however you all know who you are! 8/24/25 . Anna, along with the rest of the team, worked extremely hard to make the day perfect, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. I am so grateful for everything you did to help make this celebration so special. Thank you!

Great consistent top-notch food. Wonderful staff. Now you sit outside on the patio and watch the boats and ferry traffic!

The restaurant…read moreusually has some great specials and an impressive, rotating selection of east and west coast oysters. The servers are all well versed in the menu items, including the oyster selection, which is always a plus for me. Each time I've visited I ordered a few different oysters and have never been disappointed. You really cannot go wrong with what you order. The fritto misto appetizer is outstanding, perfect for 2-4 people. Also had to try the oysters Rockefeller which are always delicious. My first visit (NYE '26) they had octopus on their specials menu. I PRAY they bring it back because it was memorable, even 6 months later. My first visit I tried the barramundi which, at the time was a special menu item. It seems they added it to the Mains but with a different preparation. This time I tried the salmon which was excellent. If seafood's not your jam, they have plenty of menu items to choose from. In addition to the food, they also have great cocktails and a stellar looking happy hour menu I can't wait to try. I recommend making reservations, especially if you're visiting on a Friday or Saturday night. Both times I went here the restaurant was packed, particularly the bar area. My only real critique is that the restaurant gets a bit loud, making it a tad difficult to hear but it's also a sign that the place is doing consistently well.

However, the seating in my opinion is on a tight spaced sidewalk where people and cars pass you by. It was crowded and our waiter was fine. The food took way too long to come out. It was like they forgot our order. It was happy hour for clams so that could have played a part. However, others had received their food before us. When the food finally came, the oysters were sad. Such small oysters for a place that's on the coast and bases it menu off the ocean. Our tuna tartar tacos were great. Best I've ever had. The flavor is towards the bottom of the taco so take a big bite to get all that flavor. IMO this is a nice place. I would not make it a go to spot for their oysters. But I would return.

Robin entered the building it's Memorial Day and there was just a three top there so when we walked in, Joe was attending to the people at his top but when he saw us, he expertly expedite himself from them to come and greet us and welcome us to your establishment top shelf automatically we sat down. We were waiting for another couple to join us. We had a nice conversation with him and he gave us drinks at the bar explained we're waiting for another couple to come. He said no problem when they get there we'll take it through table and that's what he did. The other couple of rides we sent the table. Wonderful service came up spoke to us very very attentive went over the menu with us gave the specials was absolutely incredible. Then I realize that he was all alone in the bar, not only was attending to us. He was only also attending to the other top plus, he was the bartender and the waiter and whoever was working in the back though your kitchen also wonderful then the place lit up there was a table of four came in another table of two and another top of two. This kid didn't even flinch. Continue to take care of every one of us very attentive and then the doors open up he had about 25 people altogether came in and came up to the bar. This kid did not flinch. He took care of them still attentive to us taking care of that baby at the bar, he put a high chair from this kid, amazingly took care of the whole bar and the dining room by himself. I am saying this to you because I am I am was previously a borrower in many many years I own two bus I have never seen one guy take care of a place of drinks, bar table tops food, greetings hospitality. You have a gem with this guy Joe I offered to help him as much as I could cause I saw that you know it was just overwhelming. He said I will take care of everything as his quote to me. I got you I said if you need me, I'm right here because I've seen it before this kid took care of a full bar too deep I might say also six tables of average three to table and just made your place run amazing so my advice is this when you find the guy like Joe you hold onto this kid like Grimm death and don't let go employees like a guy like Joe a few and far between you would do your company and yourself a service to make sure that you hold onto him and make him happy and keep him with you because there was never I've never seen a better ambassador for any place that I've gone to then watching this kid work today again I'm a bar owner. I've been a restaurant business. I'm a chef and I have never seen one kid run a place like that kudos to him. Kudos to you for hiring them and kudos to you if you hold onto it again unbelievable great experience. I will recommend your place. I will recommend to my friends as I had that my friends called to stay today. I will continue to do so as long as you continue to have people like Joe work for you. Great job all around. You got a little hidden gem there and they should make sure people know about it thank you very much. I've loved it for over 15 years maybe longer. I've lost count. Buuuut with the new owner Marcus & his friendly knowledgeable staff (Hiiii Pedro!) it has improved immensely! Marcus's passion & dedication to the art of fishing & shellfishery shows. I come from a long line of clammers & eelers. My family does not give a BBQ without clams. We just don't. But Marcus (I can't say his name without hearing Eartha Kitt. If ya know, Ya know. Hahaha) has upped the ante with fresh shellfish & fish options also dry aged items as well. Today I was blessed with Jumbo Soft Shell Crabs! I was lazy & broiled them instead of grilling or frying them. They came out perfect! Called My Dad & he went back for some also. And the new hours!!! I can't say enough about the later hours & being open 7 days! Epic!
