I have been remiss in not submitting a review earlier. This is one of our favorite restaurants on Long Island and definitely our favorite Greek restaurant. Everything we have eaten has been fantastic, not a disappointing meal ever, from the Greek salad with chicken gyro meat (always enough for 2 meals) to the Spanakopita or flounder stuffed with crab meat to spinach and feta, one is better than the next. The grilled octopus which we've had on sev occasions has always been done to perfection, ever chewy or rubbery. The wait staff is attentive and welcoming as well as the owner Alex, but I have to admit that we have 2 favorite waitresses who happen to be sisters, Maria and Fati, both are always on the move and extremely friendly. Great spot for a greek dinner that's not too fancy but delivers great dinners and large plates. Came here with my husband and a friend and the food platters were just right for us. I do have to say the zucchini chips are too salty but manageable. The platters with mixed meats were pretty good. My favorite was the dessert, the blueberry cheesecake of some sort was fantastic. Great spot for a filling meal, and the new location is a million times better than the smaller restaurant across the street where it used to be. The lunch specials are massive and well worth it, this place should be busy all the time, because the food is really good. I was pleasantly surprised by my lunch order of the lamb gyro with side salad. The food was perfectly cooked and the salad was plentiful. The vinaigrette on the salad was ON POINT. I am subtracting a star for the upcharge for the side salad. Does it really cost $$$ more for lettuce as opposed to french fries? Weird. The food was excellent and I will be back. One of my favorite things about Aegean Grill is that they get food to you fast! I rarely have a long wait and their food is really delicious and authentic plus they really do grill many of the meats. My only gripe is that when I order delivery they sometimes forget to give the tzatziki sauce on the side and that leaves me wanting while I'm eating and thus 4 stars instead of 5. My suggestions are the chicken gyro which is spectacular, the fried zucchini which is shaved paper thin and has no breading so it's all zucchini flavor and their falafel which are soft, sort of sweet and definitely better than most other places. read more

I was very excited to try this restaurant because of the new location and I enjoy Mediterranean food a lot. But I wasn't expecting my food to be absurdly priced. I ordered a soup and a salad and a sandwich without a side and my order came to almost $50. I think that is quite ridiculous because a soup and a salad really shouldn't cost 15$ or more (a small salad coasts 20$.... Really??). I also barely received any tzatziki dressing on the side for my gyro sandwich and I received no dressing for my salad what gives? Also, on top of my salad, not having any dressing some of my veggies in my salad were wilted and had some brown lettuce.... Seriously I'm paying 20$ for a no dressing, and a salad with wilted lettuce? I also specified for my Gyro meat to be well done and that was not well done. Is it really that hard to cook the meat a little extra? I won't be returning until you drop your prices and maybe you can cook your meat a little extra when asked. read more

I ordered delivery so can't speak on the restaurant itself. However, I can say that this restaurant made me want Greek food once again. I haven't had it for several years because the last Greek restaurant I went to was awful. The Aegean grill, on the other hand, has wonderful fresh food. We ordered a small variety, including some lamb, some lemon potatoes, some avgolemono soup, dessert, salad, etc. The soup alone was worth the cost of delivery- really well done with a perfect mix of ingredients. (ie not mushy, not crunchy and not watery) The lamb was well spiced, and the lemon potatoes were delightful. Another example was the side-salad, (not just iceberg lettuce with some feta and one olive.) Even though it was a side-salad it had the works. We admired it like a lost treasure of culinary rumor, wondering if we should take a picture as proof that it existed. The only thing that gave us a little pause was that the lamb was a bit tough. Cutting it into smaller pieces solve that problem. As the serving was so large, we have some left to make pita pockets. read more

My first time at the superb Greek restaurant. My son took me there today and the food was divine! The environment is just lovely in this family owned business in North port that moved their location across the street in a larger space with a beautiful Mediterranean blue lite bar. I would go just for appetizers and drinks after work as well. We ended our meal with their signature cheese Baklava cake! Simply amazing. read more

We had never been here before. We were looking for a Greek restaurant and let me say this was the best Greek food we've had. It's a tiny place that delivers enormous platters of incredible food. I had the lamb chops with lemon potatoes and a Greek salad that by the way was so huge we took it home for dinner the next night. My husband ordered the Moussaka that overwhelmed his plate. that came with grilled vegetables and another salad. at the end of the meal, Dawn our waitress came out with another complimentary dessert, which we took home being we were so full. I was getting my nails done locally so figured I'd stop in...not realizing they were owned by Simply Greek which I'm not a fan of. I took out a cheese pie lunch special which came with soup or salad. The soup was okay but the cheese pie was clearly microwaved as it was spongy and anything but crispy. The filling was almost non-existent and the entire thing was not fresh. Do I expect them to make an entire tray of cheese pie for each customer? No...but at least serve pieces that haven't been sitting around and heat it up correctly. Very disappointed. read more

Unfortunately, their prices have skyrocketed even when paying cash. Gyros have very little meat and are excessively stuffed with lettuce/onions/tomatoes etc. I am ok paying a bit extra for good food but this just overpriced. Got the gyro lunch special with Greek salad. First off the service is top notch here. Dawn is amazing- she works very hard to make sure the customer is happy. 5 stars and I didn't even go to the restaurant! I'm stuck at home because of covid and I wanted to try a new Greek place, my regulars are good, not really stand outs but good. I looked on Uber Eats and took a chance. If you think all Greek restaurants are the same, think again. Since that first time I've ordered from this place 3 more times. Uber Eats is expensive but if you can't or don't want to leave the house, it's the way to go. I ordered a Greek salad, no tomatoes, onion sauce and yogurt sauce and an extra pita for the leftovers. The salad was great! Everyone was fresh and they used a variety of greens, not just romaine. This is what made it stand out from all of the other Greek salads I've had. Also, I'm pretty picky about old and tired veg in the salad, in this one, there was none. Nothing to pick out and put aside because it looked like it was from yesterday. The stuffed grape leaves were good too! They gave me 3 pitas which was very generous. The salad was enough to have 1/2 left over to eat the next day. The dressing was quality. I could see that they used a very good olive oil because it was green . The yogurt sauce was very good as well but the stand out was definitely the onion sauce. There is something about this particular onion sauce that makes it better then any other that I've had. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is but try it for yourself and you will see what I'm talking about. I am looking forward to getting to the restaurant and trying more of the food. read more

This is an intimate and casual Greek restaurant with a fairly large menu. I really wanted to love this place because I love Greek cuisine. We ordered gyro platter, chicken kebab, grilled calamari and homemade doner. The grilled calamari had nice flavor but a bit heavy on the olive oil and a tad chewy. The gyro platter was good but pretty standard. My favorite was the chicken kebab, where the meat was moist and well seasoned. The big disappointment was the homemade doner. It was tough and overcooked. All the sides were fine but none stood out. We also ordered a bottle of cabernet, which was not very good, and I reminded myself not to order overpriced wine at places that don't specialize in wines. A few positives, a few negatives, but mostly just mediocre. read more
