When you walk into this cute restaurant with a cozy diner feel, the people there give you a really warm welcome. The food is just delicious I had a tasty breakfast with steak, eggs, and home fries. The staff is friendly, and they bring out the food as soon as it's cooked on the grill. The portions are big, so you get a lot to eat. I recommend this place. I haven't tried dinner or other meals, but I'm sure they're good too. I hope to come back in the future for lunch or dinner. read more

Okay, the first thing I have to say is everybody that works here works their A$$ off!! Tammy at the front was insanely busy, said thank you to every server and busing staff each time she asked them to take care of something. Mind you, this isn't to say that they were slacking at all, it was merely to keep tables moving because they were all hustling like crazy. All staff was kind attentive. Constantly, constantly checking on things. And it was packed!! We had to wait awhile to get seated but then again this was New Year's Day. Patients is warranted, they are working as hard and fast as possible. After we ordered, waited a bit for the food. It came hot and perfectly served. The prices are excellent for what you receive. I ordered the chicken fried steak, got 2 bites into the steak and couldn't eat anymore because of the eggs, toast and hash browns so I took it home and it was awesome. Enjoyed it twice. The place has got a great feel. It's just fun to sit down to good home cooking and hear a zillion conversations all around you. Tammy if you read this... I don't know if you're the owner but sister (readers-we are not related I just call gals sister)... the crew there including you are a well oiled machine. True to my word. I wrote this review because it was one of the best meals I ever had. Also, dealing with young/er staff can be tricky and it means so much. Many younger folks nowadays do not know the meaning of being polite to everyone regardless of their stage in life. All hat work here are a class their own. Rustic isn't even quite right. This place is, for me the whole experience of being on a road trip and stopping in the middle of the most beautiful desert in North America. I never exaggerate! What great food, prices and service. The restaurant was jam packed and the staff just kept it flowing. I had Denver scramble and my hub had something with sausage. It was perfectly cooked, hot and there was no waiting! The only suggestion I have is that you do not sit at the table next to the side entry door because there is a tremendous air blower (which is an necessity out in the hot desert) and it blows down your neck every time the door opens - which is constantly. Horrible service by our waiter Angela and the owner was rude. Seated right away hosts were very nice and helpful. Ordered our food waited for an hour just to get our food people coming in seated after us got their food before us. Our waiter was not attentive once she took our order just kept walking by not saying a word as she brought others food out. Finally found the hostess and asked if they could check on our order they said they lost out ticket and our food would come right out. Asked owner for some type of comp was told no we got our food and everything was fine she's their best server. If you're driving through Parker this is the busiest cafe on the big street. There's one of these in every town and for good reason. They've been around forever and have good food and good prices. This place is all three. I came in for lunch and had a gambler sandwich which is a hot ham or tega chili Swiss cheese and tomato sandwich you can get a side of fries or coleslaw or homemade potato salad. I chose homemade potato salad. Then for dessert I had a slice of lemon meringue pie which was super fun. Plenty of parking out front or overflow RV parking in the gravel lot next door and the bathrooms are nice and clean. read more

A pretty average cafe in Parker Az on California St. near the California border. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated as it was busy. After being seated, the service was pretty good especially considering they were packed. I ordered the waffle with strawberries and it came with eggs and bacon. It was a decent breakfast but I don't recommend the strawberry waffle as the topping tasted like it came out of a can of pie filling. The eggs and bacon were good. My wife had the bacon and egg sandwich with hash browns. She noted the hash browns were "buttery and yummy" she also liked the sandwich. All in all it was a good value for the money and I would eat there again but I would order something different. read more

We have eaten here several times and it is always busy. Busy usually means good and this place is very good. You might have a little wait especially with some tables blocked off due to the current covid restrictions. If you are super hungry at breakfast time I would highly recommend the chicken fried steak and eggs. I took a picture of it and that is a platter it is served on and not a round plate. This large steak is breaded perfectly and topped with an excellent white gravy. Add a couple of eggs, hash browns and an English muffin and you have a meal you'll have to work at finishing every bite. I was stuffed and everything was good. I had looked through reviews before going, and didn't see anything about the grits, but I couldn't pass up a chance to try them! They were cooked perfectly, and so creamy! My over medium eggs were perfect, just a little crispy on the edges, and I also had sourdough toast on the side that was tasty as well. This breakfast was just the right amount to start my trip back home to CA. Service was quick and friendly! I would have given 5 stars, but the cleanliness could use a little more attention. Nothing major, and fits in with the area, but I wasn't thrilled to have a cricket as company! My friend who is a local said that's pretty normal for the area though. It's supposed to be home made. My wife had biscuits and gravy she took 1 bite and wouldn't eat any more. I tried it too it tasted funny. I had 2 eggs and a hamburger steak! In 10 minutes I was running for the bathroom! My granddaughter had cheese quesadilla and fries. She said quesadilla was good and the fries. I tried a few fries and they were good. Other granddaughter got waffle and eggs she did like it! The place was packed and had a little wait. Ordered and didn't receive for 40 minutes after we ordered. I was very excited to try this local breakfast staple in Parker, Arizona. The first thing I noticed pulling up to the building was that it had an old, authentic look to it. Perhaps even a little run down but in a way that promises great food. The parking lot was also packed with cars, so I knew that the locals appreciate this place. I found a spot and immediately had to get in there to get my breakfast on. You'll be greeted and seated within sixty seconds, even though they are packed! And then you can explore your typical breakfast menu. I started with a coffee (yum) and an orange juice. The great thing about the coffee is any server walking by will fill you back up. Super nice service! I tried the French toast, which came with two eggs and some sausage (you could get bacon, and two types of sausage). I added strawberries to my French toast. The French toast really hit the spot. The berries make is very sweet so only get them if you're willing to have a sweet breakfast. Eggs were also good, although I'm not an egg fan generally. I really, really loved the sausage though! I did order some bacon on the side. When you order a side here you get several pieces, which is nice! The bacon was super crispy and delicious. I also sampled a breakfast burrito and it was great! It even got boxed up and traveled back to Tucson with me and was still good when I microwaved it!!!!
