It's such a wonderful treat when you find a place like Lily's Mexican food in a small, rural town. The food here was fantastic. I had the shredded beef tacos the sauce and spices in the meat was delicious! My girlfriend ordered the chicken quesadilla, she thought was good and that what would've made It better is if the chicken was more moist, but that may be a matter of her personal preference. It was so filling that she was only able to eat half of it. You gotta appreciate a good "Mexican full"! I do!! The young lady at the counter was sweet and helpful. What a BS Restaurant. My wife and I both ordered a carne asada burrito for $10.75/burrito. My wife changed her mind & asked for the Friday special which was 3 birria tacos for $8.75. She rang up 2 burritos for $10.75 but refused to give us the difference back. I know it's kind of nit picking but it's the principle of the thing. $10.75 X 2 does not equal $10.75 + $8.75. She was adamant & said it was the same price & refused to budge. WTF? Me thinks her math isn't so good. I mean it's only 2 dollars. The food was pretty good but they lose a star for being a cheat. Trust me, this place doesn't just serve burritos--they serve handheld masterpieces of meat, veggies, and magic. I always call ahead to avoid any delay because once you've had a Lily's burrito, waiting feels like torture. The burritos here are huge. I'm not exaggerating when I say they pack so much into those tortillas that I'm half convinced they've discovered a loophole in the laws of physics. Every time I pick one up, I'm sure it's going to burst open like a piñata, but somehow it holds together. It's like the tortilla took a solemn oath to keep all that meat and veggie goodness secure. We stopped here for dinner on a Thursday. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and welcomed us! The menu looked great and we settled on tacos, chile relleno and taquitos. We sat down at a table- lots of table options. The very nice lady brought us chips, variety of salsas, guacamole and sour cream and when ready brought out our meals. We all loved the food! I like Lily's food. It's good, the portions are big, it's quick, I'm in and out of there fast. I've only done to go orders, I haven't had the opportunity to dine in there yet. But the food wouldn't be any different either way IMO. Usually my bellwether for a Mexican restaurant is a carne asada or breakfast burrito and theirs are excellent. And their pico de gallo is fresh and tasty. I've tried other things - the tacos are really good - but the burrito is how I measure a place like Lily's. I have one suggestion though. Their dining area, in fact the whole place, is SPOTLESS. That's really good. But it's so sterile in the dining area, it's like a hospital ER waiting area. And this is exactly what they need to do - in the high corners (under the two TVs and one more) they need to put 5' tall potted plants. Real or good fakes, doesn't matter. In the other three or four low corners, put 3 footers. It would make an unbelievable difference, for cheap. They really should do that, it would warm the place up immensely. read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch while our truck was being serviced nearby. This is an "order at the counter and get a number" sort of place and they seem to do a lot of take-out but there are plenty of tables if you want to eat in. The place was clean, including the bathrooms. Placing our order was quick and efficient. The food came out in less than 10 minutes. There was a lot of it and it was wonderful! I have the Chile Relleno burrito, a single Chile relleno, a shrimp taco, and a half order of supreme nachos. The half order was enough to feed 2 people. The burrito that I ordered was delicious. If you find yourself in Parker, AZ, just minutes from the Blue Water Casino, you have to check out this taco spot! The menu is extensive, featuring a diverse variety of meats cooked fresh daily, and everything is absolutely delicious. I ordered the Jalisco birria taco, and let me tell you, as someone who lived in Mexico, the flavors transported me right back! I also tried the fish taco, which is hands down the best I've ever had--no joke. I highly recommend this place. If a type of restaurant that you order at the counter could be called fine dining this would be the place. Every table had fresh flowers on it on every single one of my many visits. Pictures of flowers are on the wall and the place is bright and cheery. The food is just wonderful and that says a lot from me being born and raised in Southern California. It is equal to some of the best Mexican food places I have eaten at in California, New Mexico, and Arizona. My favorite here is the green chili burrito. Seriously if you like green chili get this burrito. The place is spotless from floor to ceiling and you won't find any friendlier employees than those at the counter. My husband and I each ordered chicken tacos; I also ordered one fish taco. It was Friday around 12:30 and our order was #79. The restaurant was not crowded and several customers arrived to pick up their to go orders. The good: 1) Restaurant and bathrooms are clean. 2) Our food was attractive and the rice was good. 3) The fish taco was acceptable; crunchy and only slightly overdone. 4) Salsa was good. 5) Food selection is good and desserts are available. The bad: 1) Service was very slow. After waiting 20 minutes and subsequent orders (#80 & 81) were filled, I had to ask an employee where our food was. The waitress said they were slammed. It took another 5 minutes to finally receive our food. It would have been nice to know our order would be delayed when we placed it. 2) Both my husband and I bit into gristle with our very first bite of the diced chicken taco. There was more gristle to come as I finished the taco. Yuck! First impressions were quite positive. However, the longer we waited, the less favorable we felt. Biting into gristle with our first bite was the final straw. We cannot recommend this restaurant and will try Tierra Caliente next time. read more
