Pancakes bigger than your face, hot cholesterol chocolatier than a bar of chocolate, brunch service better than your wildest dreams. Breakfast at crossroads is EPIC! You can either get alacarte on weekdays or go for their brunch buffet on Sunday for $40 a pop. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and hot chocolate. I could not even though i wanted to finish the pancakes. They were light and fluffy, big and delicious yet crispy! Then the perfect hoy chocolate to sip on while watching the university game. Next morning we got the buffet! The spread was amazing. We spent 1.5 hr chilling and eating their. All their desserts are delicious, the live omelette station was very nice as well. Apart from that you get brunch specials such as fish, bacon and everything else. The vibes are that of a typical restaurant, very relaxed but somewhat upscale!

We were staying at the Carolina inn and had breakfast included with our stay. The restaurant is on the ground floor with plenty seating options, both indoors and outside. The first morning I had a hot chocolate and bagel with cream cheese and salmon. It was delicious. I didn't think they could top that. But the did. The next morning they had a whole breakfast buffet. The spread was delicious. The staff was sweet too, elevating the experience further. Their food is amazing, and I would recommend it to anyone in the area.

The atmosphere was clean and modern. The food was delicious. The portions were on the smaller end but the food was great. There was nothing I tried that wasn't delicious. All the staff I interacted with were great and easy to work with.

I came here for their Christmas in July afternoon tea. The concept is super fun! In the afternoon tea room they had Christmas decor, were playing Christmas music, and had a super fun (and inclusive) tea and treats menu. While our server was friendly she basically dropped everything off and never came back. They were unfortunately out of the tea I wanted and the suggestion of a great replacement was not actually a comparable replacement at all. The tea treats themselves were tasty, but nothing that blew me away. Especially for the price, I was expecting a bit more. There are quite a few afternoon tea spots in the Triangle and unfortunately I don't think I'd go back to this one.

The vibes were immaculate; super classy and homey. I stayed at the hotel and was looking forward to having a drink at the bar even though I normally tend to venture out to a local spot for cocktails. I spent $46 on one cocktail and the appetizer pita bread and hummus. The service was great and quick, but I barely felt a buzz from my cocktail considering it was $20. Will stick to my intuition and find a local spot next time.

A friend and I reserved a table for afternoon tea this past Sunday and it was a lovely experience. They have a (small) separate room for afternoon tea-goers, so you're surrounded by the towers of pastries and tiny sandwiches. I can definitely understand why a reservation is needed, since there were only a few tables there. The teapots and teacups were so cute, I love that each person gets a unique design. I ordered the Carolina Inn Blueberry tea, which had the most stunning ruby color, fresh blueberry flavor, and some sweetness without any sugar cubes added. Our waiter was super kind and explained what each dessert was on the tower. Our favorite dessert was the layered cake which included layers of cream or mousse. I absolutely loved the scones, which came with lemon curd, clotted cream, and some sort of jam. I highly recommend reserving a table here and spending an afternoon chatting with friends.

The food and drinks were amazing. We came here twice because Connor was THE best server!!! I can't wait for my next visit to Chapel Hill! Thank you so much Conner!

My experience at Crossroads was okay, but not what I expected from an experience at the Carolina Inn. When my party arrived, no one at the hostess table really acknowledged us and he had to ask to be seated. Once we were seated, service was great! My food was also okay. The grits were superb! Probably some of the best I've had. I was not a huge fan of my omelet though. The sun dried tomatoes tasted a bit like raisins (very sweet). The restaurant was also very empty and quiet which felt odd. Overall, I am glad I tried Crossroads but probably will not return.

We stopped by Crossroads today for lunch. Although it's technically a hotel restaurant, don't hold that against them. It's excellent, easily worthy of the 4 stars I awarded it. It's newly renovated, now with a more stark feeling, unlike it's previous warm atmosphere. Service, as always here, is extraordinarily good. The food, a glass of French Chardonnay and a fried green tomato sandwich with breaded (!!!) fries was great. As a matter of personal policy I won't give 5 stars based on a review of lunch. I'm certain the rating will improve after my next dinner there.

I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights for business and only had their cocktails in the evenings--until breakfast on my last day. The food leaves more to be desired but I at least thought the prices are reasonable for a hotel breakfast. I got the eggs benny and loaded grits (bacon, tomatoes, and cheese). The bennies were tasty though the bread was hard to cut into. The saving grace was the crispy ham and nice runny eggs. The grits were the star of the show, but mainly cuz I haven't had loaded grits before. The 3 stars are for the good, but if I could, I'd give 5 stars to the bar and bartenders. They made excellent cocktails! Kudos to Fernando and his mixology skills.

The Firehouse Dog is a must -- bold, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with just the right kick. The cheesy jalapeño dog is everything it should be: melty, spicy, messy in the best way. And the taco dog? Somehow ridiculous and incredible at the same time. The fries are crispy, seasoned, and absolutely addictive, but let's talk about the real stars: the sauces. There are so many good ones that choosing becomes the hardest part of the visit. Drizzle, dip, smother -- you literally cannot go wrong. Even the buns deserve love -- soft, toasted just right, and strong enough to hold up to all that delicious chaos. Everything here is done right, from the flavors to the quality to the fun vibe. Sup Dogs is one of those places that makes you excited to come back before you've even finished eating. Five stars, no debate.

It was freezing today outside and we were seated by the door. Everything was fine until the hostess propped the door open. They left the door wide open and everyone in the front seating area was miserable. I asked if they could please close it and I was told no. They said the hostess stands by the door on game days. So they really don't care if their customers are comfortable or not. That says a lot. They certainly could've made adjustments given the cold and windy day. But our waitress was kind enough to move us when a table opened up in the back. That was a big relief and much more comfortable. Now to their food. The bacon cheese fries were great but didn't have bacon so we had to get them to bring back to sprinkle on top. The ranch was excellent and we all liked the app. My youngest got a grilled cheese which he enjoyed. My oldest got a burger which he said was okay, but nothing special. But the real disappointment comes in with the hot dogs. My first dog was cold, like unappetizingly cold. The waitress was very nice and took care of it immediately. However, the second dog came out almost immediately. If you like a boiled hot dog that's reheated in a microwave, you'll like their hot dogs. But I want a quality grilled hot dog. We'll stick to our ol' faithful CH burger joint from here on out. And I hope next time your customers are extremely uncomfortable on a freezing day sitting right next to the open door, you exercise some courtesy and close the door next time.

The star of the show in my opinion were the hush puppies and the corn and wild mushroom risotto. There were sooo many different flavors that perfectly complemented each other. I was blown away. And the pig cheek on top was incredible. 500/10. Our server made great recommendations! Then-- chaos and heartbreak ensued in the form of a fire alarm. We were forced to evacuate the restaurant as the fire department arrived , leaving about half our meal on the table. After 30 or so minutes of waiting out in the cold (we were apparently the only guests who hadn't paid out yet) our server came to find us. He asked us if we wanted to just give him our credit card information and he would ring us up later, when the fire department gave them the ok, as he understood not wanting to wait around. It broke our heart to leave our leftovers, but we agreed and went to go get the car. Thankfully we are stubborn.. and optimistic to a fault. And by the third time we circled around the block, the fire truck was pulling away. I ran in and asked if there was any chance our food hadn't been thrown away yet, and it hadn't! The staff was happy we had been able to come back, and they packed everything up for us, even taking the hush puppies off the bill and sneaking in a complimentary piece of key lime pie. I'm so glad we were able to tip our server appropriately for his great service-- and rescue our leftovers. Happy ending. All was well. I opted for the blackened salmon, and my friend got the watermelon salad and tomato plate to share. The wait for food wasn't that long, but once they arrived, they were beautiful. Vibrant, full of color, plates of food that I was dying to dig into. The salmon was a pretty small piece (I was expecting a larger portion) and was on top of black beans and cheese grits. The salmon had a green sauce on top which complemented each aspect of the dish very well. I loved eating a bite of everything together. The tomato plate special was also good, but nothing sensational. It's literally just tomatoes with oil on them, but I guess they tasted fresh.
