This place was great! A nice spot for a nice Smash burger or even a Hot dog! Good vibes and TVs everywhere so you won't miss any action! Service was very attentive and friendly! The fries were nice and crispy and the burger was well seasoned. I got mine with onions and sup dog sauce and it was very tasty. The only thing I would say is that the burger wasn't that filling I definitely would want a double smash patty next time. It felt like I could eat 10 of the regular smash burgers. I would definitely go back and ask for a double patty burger next time! Also I do want to try the other menu items as well!

Zero nonsense, quick line, solid dogs. Yes, they'll get you with the $2 extra dog (in a good way). We saw a rack of Martin's potato buns when washing up and yes, this is the PERFECT bun for this style/quality of dog. You can polish off your dogs and be back on Franklin in less than 20 minutes. After games it can get busy and we're SO glad we left a few minutes early (blowout) and stopped in on our way out of town.

Open late, more combinations of hot dogs than you ever thought possible, and strong drinks--what more could you ask for from a college town restaurant/bar? Sup Dogs is open late enough for it to be a post-bar stop, but not too late that things get sketchy. Carolina decor galore, Sup Dogs also boasts quite a few large TVs if you're looking to watch a game. It's also a phenomenal spot for people-watching, so grab a Sup Crush (I recommend the cherry lime!) and enjoy :)

First time coming here, nice seating area outside and inside, staff is very helpful and friendly. Came in specifically for the Hawaiian (hot) dog i saw online and did not disappoint! pretty affordable too you get a hot dog and a lot of fries for $8.49 you can also upgrade your side to cheesy tots or cheesy fries for $3. definitely going back because they have so many choices for burgers and hot dogs i need to try them all :)

Great hotdogs. The staff was great. The restaurant was very clean. Prices were lower than I thought they would be. Great menu

The dogs were just okaaaaay...maybe woud have been better if they were grilled. I expected the Chilli to have flavor but it was bland. Cant say that I was impressed. Nice spot full of college students and TV and music to keep you entertained. EXCELLENT SERVICE.

Sup Dogs is impossible to not love. There's plenty of servers to take care of you. The food is fun and delicious. There's something for just about everyone! Orange sup crush is iconic and fresh. My first Sup Dogs trip would've been over 10 years ago in Greenville and every time I've gone to either location the food and drinks are always perfect. I love sharing Sups with my family and friends! This location would be great for any UNC fan - tons of fun art inside and a lively atmosphere that makes it a Franklin St staple I'm sure.

We got a burger and a small order of pizza fries. It was a lot of food. The atmosphere made us think of Hooters.

Great place for lunch. The service was awesome and the murals on the walls of the UNC players were well done. We tried the Western, Smokehouse and Sweet Dog combos. We also threw in a Smokehouse burger. The key ingredient is the chile they use on some of the burgers. Outstanding! I will say the potato rolls they use bring it home! If you are a hot dog connoisseur, this is a definite stop on Franklin Street.

Fantastic place right on Franklin St within a short walk of UNC Chapel Hill. We were greeted upon walking in and the service remained friendly and excellent from there! Vast menu and we ended up with a burger meal and hot dog meal. The burger meal I skipped the bun and they did such a great job! Everything was delicious, great atmosphere, seating inside and out and a full bar!

Spent the day in Chapel Hill and needed a place to eat which was quick, affordable and family friendly. .. Sup Dog did not disappoint on this front. I got a burger which was pretty tasty, but they will only cook it well-done (I like mine medium-well). Service was good, price was average for what they serve.

I also got sweet potato fries my last visit. The sandwich is delicious--definitely up there with the best chicken salad sandwiches I've had. Crispy bread, great chicken, fresh produce. The sweet potato fries were quite disappointing--just didn't do it for me. Price isn't too bad but it's still steep for college students. Expect to spend between $7 and $12 for lunch. I'll definitely continue going to 1.5.0. as it's a great change of pace from the dining halls. Edit: been here probably 2 dozen times. Consistently great. 5 stars.

The space is modern and elegant but still cozy, with soft lighting, subtle earth tones, and an open layout that balances intimacy and energy. Service was outstanding from start to finish, attentive, informed, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. Let's get into the food, because this was one of the most exciting and consistently excellent meals we've had in a long time. We started with They Might Be Tostones, a clever and beautifully layered dish with Murasaki sweet potato, lime-pimentón crema, and chili crisp. It was punchy, bright, and balanced. The Warm Rustic Baguette with whipped butter and sea salt may seem simple, but it was divine, crusty on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfect for lingering. Dirt Candy, a medley of seasonal vegetables with toasted pistachio ail lade, was vibrant and thoughtfully composed. The Big Eye Tuna Carpaccio with red miso-citrus bagna cauda and delicate shoots was fresh and refined, with a perfect acidity and richness. We moved on to heartier plates like the Ricotta Gnocchi with Italian sausage, peppers, whipped ricotta, broccoli rabe, and chili flake. The gnocchi were pillowy and deeply flavorful. The Kabocha Squash & Farro with lump crab, pancetta, and miso butter was savory, slightly sweet, and full of texture. The Pan Roast with flounder, mussels, fregula, and smoky shellfish sugo was bold and briny, with layers of flavor in every bite. Two pasta dishes also stood out, the Ravioli di Manzo with Barolo-braised beef and Parmigiano was rich and comforting, while the Plin Piemontese, filled with pasture-raised pork and finished in crema di parmigiano, was elegant and silky. For dessert, we shared all three options and each one brought something different. The Citrus plate with steamed lemon pudding and lemon curd was light, tart, and texturally playful. The Cheesecake with maple mascarpone and cranberry compote was creamy, nutty, and not overly sweet. But the star was the Chocolate Fondant, extra dark, gooey, with salted caramel gelato and hazelnut crumble. An absolutely unforgettable finish. OakLeaf is a standout. Every dish felt thoughtful, seasonal, and beautifully executed. We will absolutely be back.

The star of the show in my opinion were the hush puppies and the corn and wild mushroom risotto. There were sooo many different flavors that perfectly complemented each other. I was blown away. And the pig cheek on top was incredible. 500/10. Our server made great recommendations! Then-- chaos and heartbreak ensued in the form of a fire alarm. We were forced to evacuate the restaurant as the fire department arrived , leaving about half our meal on the table. After 30 or so minutes of waiting out in the cold (we were apparently the only guests who hadn't paid out yet) our server came to find us. He asked us if we wanted to just give him our credit card information and he would ring us up later, when the fire department gave them the ok, as he understood not wanting to wait around. It broke our heart to leave our leftovers, but we agreed and went to go get the car. Thankfully we are stubborn.. and optimistic to a fault. And by the third time we circled around the block, the fire truck was pulling away. I ran in and asked if there was any chance our food hadn't been thrown away yet, and it hadn't! The staff was happy we had been able to come back, and they packed everything up for us, even taking the hush puppies off the bill and sneaking in a complimentary piece of key lime pie. I'm so glad we were able to tip our server appropriately for his great service-- and rescue our leftovers. Happy ending. All was well. (And the fire ended up being something innocuous in the unit above the restaurant)

Our dinner guest had the rib eye steak for one it was also delicious from our guests response. The service is always great with enough service but never overwhelming. For a night cap we enjoyed a Remy cognac. With there cheesecake and chocolate pudding cake. Both were delicious and very tasty.
