My two kids attend to Crossroad, the school staff is great and kids learn a lot from them. Now my oldest is under a program where they help him to connect with the school and attend to his clases. This occurred several years ago, when I was a newly single mother in survival mode. I chose this preschool based on its proclaimed values and structure, as I needed a safe place for my child. After a few weeks, his teacher raised a minor behavioral concern, which I addressed immediately. Throughout, the staff reassured me he was improving. Without warning or any prior discussion with me, the director expelled him, effective immediately. This was a grave breach of ethics. I was not able, at that time, to respond, as I was simply trying to survive. If I were in the position I am today, I would have pursued legal action. I now share this to caution other parents: this school's policies and ethics do not prioritize the best interests of their students and can cause real harm. read more

Crossroads is wonderful. My sweet girl has been going here for 2 years and always comes home with a smile on her face. I love knowing that, since I cannot be with her all the time, someone is caring for her in my absence the way they would care for their own child. I greatly appreciate all the fun activities that Miss Tammy implements for the school. Fun dress days, art projects as well as academics geared towards her learning capabilities keep her stimulated all day with a nap, playtime, social interaction all under the supervision of a CPR certified caregiver keeps my worries at bay. Tammy and the whole staff at Crossroads are wonderful! You can feel the care Tammy has for each and every child that attends her school. Her heart is always in the right place and she genuinely wants the best for everyone! The school is always very very clean, and the teachers and assistants keep great daily logs for parents. Ms.Beca is always very kind and helpful. I can tell my daughter enjoys being in her class, and since this is her first time in any type of school setting it really makes my heart happy. My daughter started in the baby classroom and will be in her last year, pre-k next school year. My almost 4 year old can write her name, spell and sign language her name and can count in Spanish. The school hosts fun events throughout the year like family fall harvest chili cook offs, Christmas program, firefighter day , so many family involved events, and summer water table play time. I love that crossroads is family run and not some big corporation. Their hearts are truly in it. As a teacher myself, I understand what compassionate teaching looks like as well as the importance of keeping kids engaged with hands on activities that involves all senses. Crossroads focuses on manners, respect for all, and responsibility which has greatly contributed to my daughters character. I 100 percent would recommend to any parent that wants to prepare their kid for kindergarten in a supportive environment. read more

Trusting others to watch your children is one of the toughest choices you make as a parent. My son graduated from the Jr K program and my daughter still attends. My son is excelling in first grade. Miss Julie is incredible and prepped him for kindergarten. She is an amazing teacher. She really was made to do this kind of work. They don't just watch my children at crossroads, they teach them so much and they make learning so much fun. They teach my kids academics, but also boundaries, safety, and so much more. I'm very comfortable leaving my kids with Mrs Cross and Miss Katie every day because I know they will always do what's best for the kids. My kids love this school and love their teachers. I honestly cannot recommend this preschool for children. My experience here was disappointing, and I wanted to share my experience for any parent considering this school for their child. My child started in August of 2024, and it went well at first. When my child was moved to a new classroom, the teacher's reaction was discouraging. My child had issues adjusting to the new classroom and with drop-off. The teacher seemed annoyed that my child cried during drop-off, which is not what any child should ever experience. The lack of empathy and understanding towards a child who might need extra support was really upsetting. In hindsight, it felt like my child was not getting the attention that was needed due to class size. Additionally, the owner made it very clear during our interactions that she thought my son was special needs and that she felt this way because she has ADHD, which I found unprofessional. At her recommendation, I took him to multiple pediatrician appointments, where it was determined that at this point, his behavior was age-appropriate, and he showed no signs of autism or ADHD. While I understand that personal experiences can shape one's perspective, it seemed to affect the way she viewed my son and his needs. After a few incidents, she informed me that my son wouldn't be allowed back unless he started the Child Find process -- which felt like an unnecessary obstacle, however, I did move forward with this process at her recommendation. At one point, she told me that she hoped he would qualify for the full-day Child Find program - which is for children diagnosed with autism. The owner also shared very personal information about another child's custody arrangements between this child's parents, as this child was crying at drop-off. This breach of confidentiality made me feel uncomfortable and again left me questioning the professionalism and ethics of the staff. On one occasion, when I came to pick up my child, there was no teacher in the room. She did eventually come back to the classroom, but leaving 12 3 year-olds unattended for any given amount of time is not acceptable to me. On a day when there was a substitute teacher, at pick-up, the children were crowded around a cell phone watching Danny Go, which felt like a complete lack of proper supervision and engagement. In addition to this, at one point, my son was written up because he wanted to watch a specific show and another child wanted to watch a different show on the phone. This led to both children getting upset. This is not the kind of environment I want my child to be in. Finally, the owner mentioned that other parents were complaining about my child because he would cry at drop-off. Instead of focusing on my child's emotional needs and trying to help him through a difficult transition, it felt like her main concern was how his behavior reflected on the school's image. This focus on appearance rather than genuinely supporting the child was disheartening. Overall, this was not the nurturing, supportive environment I hoped for my child. If you have a child with ADHD, autism, or or even other developmental/emotional needs, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a preschool that truly embraces and supports all children. Please note that this was only my experience with the school, and the other reviews are very good. read more

I'm writing this review because as a parent I would want to know what has been slowly happening here at Crossroads. We started bringing our child here about 2 1/2 years ago it was wonderful but overtime we have seen a decline in areas as far as cleanliness and activities at the school, but safety is not something I can look past and recently in earlier March I had a very scary situation happen while my child and I were in the building. Without checking the owner Tammy buzzed in a homeless person who came in and refused to leave he was definitely on drugs he was throwing the papers off the desk and speaking incoherent. After her screaming at him for about 5 minutes he did walk out, but then returned to the door trying to get in screaming at us to let him and then decided to poop and pee in front of the building. To this day I have been so worried leaving my child because I mentioned getting cameras to her and I was told oh this happens everywhere. I also was never given an apology about the situation. (There has also been other incidents with homeless people getting behind the gates on the side of the building taking the artificial grass) this areas of town has a lot of homelessness. My opinion is if you know that then you should be taking every action to ensure safety and that is not happening. Last week I received a call that my child was injured at school and was bleeding pretty heavily for about 6 minutes, but that the bleeding stopped so I wasn't too concerned I even called back to make sure I was told yes it had, when my husband and I came to pick up in the afternoon my child was getting up from his nap and there was blood coming out of his nose it was on his sheet already so I hurried up to him picked him up and said I wasn't happy we immediately took him to our doctor. I received a text later that night asking if my child was ok and then I received a text saying that I upset the teachers. I was already upset about what was going on with my child and now the owner wanted to make things worse. When I decided to call her she started saying things that aren't true. She said I was saying her teachers aren't doing their job. She wouldn't even let me talk. I never said that at all. Because I said I was unhappy with the situation we were told we needed to part ways. No one has even said I'm sorry about this happening to your child. I was told that I think that because I'm a parent I can treat or say them however I want and that is false! I have never treated anyone in that building poorly. Thankfully we have had an abundant amount of schools including his previous school he went to as a baby ask us to join them which are much safer options in better areas of town. My hope is this review will help get things changed and heading in the right direction so things like this do not continue there. But you as parents have the right to know what has happened there at the school. read more

This school was terribly unkind to my daughter. There was a teacher who was wonderful, but she left and her replacement was horrible, rude, judgemental. She did not offer privacy when discussing any issues, Other children could overhear her problems. They allowed her to believe adult issues were her fault. My daughter comes home every day ranting and raving about this school. She loves everyone here. The teachers are all so warm and loving and keep great communication no matter what. I'd like to brag and say just how smart my daughter is, but it is because of this school. I could not be more happier with a place to have my child in. Our little girl has been at Crossroads for 3 years now and she just graduated junior Kindergarten. All of the teachers and administration are extremely loving and caring. They always put our Childs best interest first. We are so grateful to Crossroads for nurturing and teaching our little girl. We get compliments all of the time on how mature and well mannered she is. Crossroads is AMAZING! my two girls have attended during the past year in their pre -k program and 18 months- 2 year program! Tammy, the owner, is so genuine and accommodating and it is really apparent that her heart is 100% in this school! The teachers are all amazing and kind- Miss Katie is my 2 year olds teacher and my daughter has thrived and learned SO much in just one short year. My 5 year old is in Miss Dani's class and she is also extremely kind, caring, and amazing! My 5 year old has expressed how much she loves Miss Dani and the school and is very sad to be graduating into kindergarten in the fall! Crossroads Christian Academy is the most wonderful school for our children! Our daughter and son started attending CCA at 18 months old each - they are now 5 and 3. All of the staff is extremely kind, loving and love their jobs. They are special people and together they because a force of love and education your children would be blessed to have. My children are more advanced from others their age and older. Our daughter was reading at 4! Both of our children look forward to going to school each day. We love this place! My 2 kids went here, my oldest is now in Kinder and thanks to Ms. Cross and her staff he exceeds in everything. My daughter still attends and is currently in Ms. Dani's class which she adores so much. We started coming here when my oldest was 18 months and every year they exceed our expectations, not only they are lovely to the kids, they actually teach them! I truly cannot say enough great things about CCA! Mrs. Cross and Mrs. Jamie in the office are friendly, helpful and always quick to get back to me whatever the request. My son was in Mrs. Christine's class (room 2) and since being there his vocabulary has increased, his ability to follow directions is way better, his creativity has increased and when I go pick him up he doesn't want to leave, which speaks for itself, he always has so much fun!!! Hello there!! I just want to share a little bit of a wonderful place. I know that we usually read the biggest reviews because people are saying the very "truth" or may be you find a place that you can write the whole book about them.. Well, mine won't be too big but to the point. We search several places for our little girl and we found this place CCA. We are very happy that we fund a great place for her. At first she was not that happy at all, but the teachers are very consistent with all the kids in genera, so she became very attached to this place, even on weekends she says, I wish I can go to my school today. I love how the kids are happy and sharing, paying attention to their teachers. I like how the stuff there is very serious taking care of our kids very well!! I have no words enough, but all I ca say for sure its that. We are blessed with this people, and the place is always clean and sanitized, very organized and everyone very pleasant people. read more

As a pediatric nurse, a military spouse and a mother of two young girls, I am very cautious about where I send my kiddos for care. With that being said, my girls have attended Crossroads for almost two years, and we couldn't be happier with their care. This independently owned school has provided my children with endless fun, support and love. They have also helped equip my children with the tools they need to seamlessly transition to kindergarten. My oldest finished kindergarten this past year, she was at the top of her class academically and had no problems integrating socially. I love this school! We had lost our babysitter when Covid hit and found this gem! They helped my son potty train so quickly he was trained in like two months! His speech improved dramatically as well. They're all super sweet and work with you on schedules. It has been my experience that Crossroads Christian Academy has been the biggest blessing to my son and our family. I had heard about it through a friend who's son went there and she loved it as well. I called and set up a tour with Miss Cross who has such a servant attitude. You can really see that all she does for that school and the kids is done with pure love and joy. My son is on the cusp of CCSD age for kindergarten so we had discussed holding him back. We were happy to hear about her JR kindergarten program where he would not have to nap. After going to a very prestigious, popular private school for two years, our son was not happy. Picking up bad attitudes and crying about "hating school." It broke my heart to hear that but we didn't really know about all of our options. Prior to touring CCA, we toured another prestigious school which seemed dry and boring. Staff never smiled, my tour consisted of scripted words and not genuine human interaction, again, not where I want my child picking up "social skills." Fast forward to the decision to put him in Miss Lora's JR Kindergarten, we are having far less home issues, he asks to do his homework as soon as he gets home, and he's always teaching us new things at home, which is so fun to see. I cannot say enough good things about this school. I have cried many tears of joy that God has put CCA in our lives. I can't tell you how much I kick myself for wasting time, money and tears on a school not at all worth the hype! Miss Cross and her staff are true angels and we are so lucky to have found their program. Happy thriving kids are the future! read more

Oh my mommy heart feels so warm bringing my little guy here. I truly feel that he's loved. The owner is wonderful, caring and loving. The staff is great and the teachers love their jobs. I also love that many of the clients/parents are in law enforcement, government agencies and healthcare. It says a lot about a place when people in those industries bring their children there.
