In all my years of attending church,66, to be exact, I have NEVER been denied entry. Today, 22, March,2026, my husband and I were DENIED entry to ICLV. The reason? My husband is a disabled US Army veteran who needs a service dog to help him be out in public. A man met us in the DRIVEWAY, not on the open pad, away from cars, to inform us we could not enter with our dog. At first, we both thought it was a joke as the news had been delivered with smile. My husband smiled and said, " this is not a dog." The man said 'I know, but our policy is no animals.' We mentioned Federal law, the ADA, and he said the church was exempt. Turns out, someone did get that passed, but I ask you, how can a person who truly wants to know, even if the attitude, or possibly the teaching is false, how can they get to know the church, if they require a service animal to do so. The Bible teaches that some will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus the Messiah even through false teachings. My prayer is that people who truly know and follow the teachings of Jesus will stand as one to insist the church honestly self examine and change from chasing popularity and start chasing God.

Went to see the production of WONDERLAND at the school last night…read more It was a modern-day retelling of a classic story from Broadway hit-maker Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel). Adult Alice, a modern-day, disillusioned video game developer from New York who is juggling a failing marriage, motherhood, and intense work environmentto the point of challenging her own sense of identity, she follows a rabbit down a service elevator and crashes into a bizarre, upside-down reality. Welcome to WONDERLAND. Alice had to face a sinister, power-hungry Mad Hatter, a Queen of Hearts, and a charismatic Cheshire Cat. Alice's quest to find her lost daughter forces her to confront the greatest mystery of all: how to find the courage and wonder she lost long ago. The girls who played Alice, the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter had amazing vocals. All the kids in the show were amazing with their acting, singing and dancing. The orchestra, WOW is all I can say about them. They were fantastic from start to finish. They all did such an amazing and professional job with the entire show, the stage hands, the lighting and sound, it was all like a professional show. High praise for the kids. The staff??? In the lobby, there was this one staff member, strong accent and very long fake lashes who makes one concerned about our future generation. On the table there was a sign that clearly said "SOLD OUT". We got our tickets on House Seats, obviously I had tickets otherwise I would not have been there, I had already talked to this lady once asking where the restroom was when I first arrived. So unless they just let anyone wander in off the streets to use the restroom on a show night??? As I said, we got our tickets on House Seats which means they were free. I wanted to support the kids, the theater program and the school, so I went up to the table and I said; "IF, I were to purchase tickets, how much would they have cost?" This young brilliant adult mind, looks at me, points to the sign, and says, "We are sold out". I'm retired military, I have a business degree, my generation learned how to read and like I said, I didn't just wander in off the streets just because.... I responded with, "I have tickets, which I displayed in case she was confused, I said I know it's sold out, I'm asking what the prices of the tickets would be if I were to buy them? The gentleman next to her quoted a range of price which prompted a short discussion between the two. OMG, I'm afraid for our future generation of kids. I handed the guy $40 to which he asked what it was for? I said a donation for the kids, the program and the school. I guess a lot of people don't think to donate if they got tickets for free which is sad. Programs in schools need our support and if you could have seen the production, it was amazing. Sadly it's becoming less in Public Schools. Their sound/lighting control area was better than some shows I've seen around town. The stage was massive, the props were professionally designed, the kids, from the Technical Director, down to the stage hands and every position in between, this could have easily been a production on the strip, that's how good it was and how amazing of a job the kids did. I will gladly go see a show here anytime and will gladly pay whatever the price is for a ticket and then some, to support such an amazing theater program. And again, the orchestra, one of the best from start to finish.

Application process is longer than usual , it's hard to get a response from admin staffread more

Spirituality is at the core of Unity…read more Unity has 5 core principles, not a "buy-in" belief system. It's a true come as you are service; welcoming those of all faiths and belief systems. I am not a Christian nor am I a fan of organized religion. Unity isn't a practice nor is it a religion. One of the foundations is that there is no wrong path to God (Spirit, the Universe, call Him/Her what you like), it all works here. Unity is about coming together in the name of Love. What you will find at Unity is a loving congregation, uplifting music, meditation, prayer, blessings, a warm, welcoming casual atmosphere, and inspiring messages delivered by Reverend Shad. Sunday service is at 10 AM. Some times there are guest speakers. No dogmatic hokey pokey here. Just good words, loving people, and a non-judgmental environment. The church (and I use that term loosely) has chakra meditation classes, yoga, 4T program, and much more. Definitely worth checking out oif you're on a spiritual journey and looking for something not so run of the mill or Bible thump-y. Namaste.

Easter service was very nice. The camera work is more steady than before. So, this has improved. An older Father accompanied Father Cam. There were some new faces in the Choir. Father Cam always has positive sermons for us; I enjoy hearing his sermons the most. He also gave a blessing with holy water. Some people smiled as they were getting sprinkled, one child quickly covered her eyes. Some people immediately did the sign of the cross. The children's choir sung two songs. The elder Father spoke a verse. There are so many songs that are introduced, that I have not heard before. But that is easy to see, with the prayers books over 700 pages long. There are usually a few songs during the bread dispursal. As I said before, I am still getting used to the new arrangement of the songs that I learned in my childhood. St Joseph's Prayer is always said at the end of the service. And of course, he thanked both of the Choirs. Very positive.

I will always be thankful for the comfort she brought us during such a heartbreaking time. The Father's sermon was especially touching--it was heartfelt, comforting, and spoke in a way that truly honored my daughter while bringing a sense of peace. It's something I will carry with me always. I'm so grateful to her and the congregation at St. Joseph Husband of Mary, from the bottom of my heart. I can't forget to mention the church itself is BEAUTIFUL!
