Dr. Bahraini is thorough, attentive, kind, and always a pleasure to work with. Sonia, who does everything with a smile, is an absolute professional and, in my opinion, the heart of this office. She is one of the main reasons I have remained with Crossroads for so many years. She is a pleasure to be around, and I always know that when she is helping me, my dental needs will be handled carefully and thoroughly. Going to the dentist is generally not at the top of anyone's list of fun activities, but I always know that I will be treated well and that my concerns will be addressed. Attempted to schedule as a new patient but received 3 phone calls to reschedule including one 15 minutes before I was heading to their office. I gave them 3 chances. The staff there can't take notes or communicate patients needs properly which staff admitted! It's been a few years since I visited Dr. Lim's office for a root canal and the reason I'm writing this review is because he brings back bad memories. True story. Dr. Lim's associate performed the root canal, and I remember it took him hours to do it, almost like he didnt have the experience. I also remember him telling me that that tooth was gonna last me another 40 years, well guess what? It broke in about 2 months. I went back to the office to speak with Lim about it, he took me in and cleaned it back out and put the filler in and that's it. My insurance wouldnt cover another crown and he didnt want to pay for it so that's the condidtion of my tooth today. I had to have the tooth right next to the root canal pulled the other day and the dentist told me that the root canal tooth was also in bad shape and more than likely would have to come out. I thought when I had the root canal I wouldnt have to worry about that tooth anymore, well at least for another 40 years. read more

My boyfriend and I have been going to crossroads dental for about 2 years now and even though we've moved down south to walnut creek, we continue to drive up to vallejo to see the great staff there. Kim is the best hygienist. Super knowledgeable, friendly, and has a gentle touch. Rose is also super sweet and remembers who I am every time I call. Our schedules are very busy and they are SO flexible and accommodating. After much research, I did my dental implant with Dr. Lim and everything went smoothly. Trust me-I'm the biggest wimp out there when it comes to needles and pain. I'm also glad that despite the changes in the dentists, that they have kept the staff the same. I'm not sure which dentist did my fill, but he lacked compassion and professionalism. Everyone in the office is nice & polite, but I waited way too long for the dentist because of something coworkers were asking him for. Then, he carelessly puts the anesthetic and during the fill I felt pain more than once. I winced at one point, and his reply wasn't even a sorry. He took a break after the fills (maybe 30-45 whole minutes of working, wow!) and once done he was said "ok you're done, thanks" and left. I even walked passed him on the way out and no acknowledgement. If he didn't want to work, I would have rather he rescheduled me than not do it halfway. The dental hygienist was great. I'll see how the Invisalign is, but so far I'd never come back for actual dental work. read more

I went to this Dr. Lim when I had my old insurance plan. He told me I needed a "deep cleaning" and fillings. Let me tell you I have been going to dentist regularly and I have always had good care. But I had the deep cleaning done anyway and it was painful and took forever. I don't know what they're doing but it seemed like eternity in the chair. I am going to another dentist now. When I told him I had a deep cleaning done he was very surprised because he could not see why I needed a deep cleaning. My new dentist did not find cavities like Dr. Lim either. I am suspecting he is a total fraud. I would avoid! read more

I have been a resident of Vallejo for over 12 years, and have gone to 8 different Dentist here. I have one MAJOR pet peeve (and this was actually a skit on a Seinefeld episode). When a Dentist makes you sign one of those contracts that states YOU will pay them $25+ for a late or missed appointment, this drives me crazy! I always ask them if they will add a clause to it; that states that THEY will pay ME $25+ if I have to wait more then 10 minutes in the waiting room. Or, this one everyone has experienced; they put you in the chair and then they take 30 minutes or more to start on you! Why is THEIR time more important then YOURS? My family & I have never waited more then 5 minutes, EVER in the waiting room, and I'm talking over 9 visits! This is unheard of in the Dentistry business. Dr. Lim is VERY fast, the fastest I've seen in 40 years of going to Dentists. I'm a very "A" type person, cynical & judgmental, so when I give my seal of approval to a Dentist, believe me it comes with much scrutiny. Now other Dentist are very good, but I'm talking about the WHOLE experience, many of the office workers are mostly the issue. Not at Crossroads Dental, outstanding all the way around. We also, like a previous Yelper, went to another Dentist, I won't divulge her name; let's just call them Setty Dental in Vallejo on Redwood street ; ). When they first opened, I switched Dentist to use my companies PPO dental plan with Aetna, to save costs, since Dr. Lim had preformed all the dental work the previous year. I switched to Setty, their Dentist said I need the dreaded "Deep Cleaning" like the previous Yelper, I also, take good care of my teeth, and was surprised with her assessment. Dr. Lim, the previous year, did not mention this EXPENSIVE procedure, not to mention PAINFUL. I said could you just do the normal (free per PPO insurance) teeth cleaning? She refused!!! We left, went back to Dr. Lim and told him my story, and his FREE second opinion was I did not need it. I said I don't currently have the insurance he takes, so he cut the cost of the cleaning and eliminated the oral evaluation, so I could afford to have my family's teeth cleaned, until I could switch back to the insurance he accepts this year. I consider Dr. Lim (& Dr. Walker) VERY professional, VERY quick, Very considerate of YOUR time & a VERY good value (10 out of 10). Amanda did the best cleaning, on both occasions on both my wife & me, and we both agreed it was the best we have ever had. I must add also that I experienced the LEAST pain ever at Crossroads Dental. The staff is very polite & helpful also. They ALL care, and it shows. The ONLY down side, is they do not accept the low end insurances, and they SHOULDN'T as they are WORTH the relatively small extra cost! All this coming from the most demanding dental customer around, trust me when I say they are outstanding. They are the reason I signed up for Yelp, I had to pass my 12 year dental journey story on to someone who need to learn what I've been through, sometimes it takes that long to find perfection! Ever since I was little I was extremely apprehensive about dental visits. I've always had a bad experience with them and they were always painful. Until I found this location, I've been a client to this office location since 2003, and they've always done an good job with teeth cleanings, cavity fillings as well as wisdom teeth removals. In 2008 I turned 25 and was cut of from my parents' insurance. Professional dental care has been absent in my life for about 3 years. However, I've come back now, and boy have they changed. I called to make an appointment and their staff was great. I was surprised to know that they still had my records in file. I spoke with Angeline (I think was her name) and she was extremely nice over the phone, and she accommodated all of my needs as well as my husbands. Tressie (I'm not sure I spelled her name right) is also pleasant as well, she's always the one to give me my courtesy reminder calls. I love the fact that they do that a day prior to your appointment, because I have extremely bad memory. Amanda, a new face to me, was the one who performed my teeth cleaning and she was delightful. Amanda was very gentle with my teeth after I informed her I hadn't seen a dentist in years. She finished fast as well. After every teeth cleaning, especially if you're new or like me, hadn't been there in years; follows an x-ray. After the x-ray follows a D.D.S. consultation, and Dr. Walker I hadn't seen before either. He was absolutely wonderful, his personality is very welcoming and he is definitely passionate about what he does. I've seen Dr.Lim before, and with all do respect, I now prefer Dr. Walker more. The reason I say that is because his interaction with clients is not the usual droning experience you witness with a dentist where they make you feel guilty about not flossing. He goes in depth with whats happening with your teeth and what he would like to see happen for your better health. He explains any concerns you may have, and better yet concerns you may not have known. He informed me I had 3 simple cavities that he could fix with no complications. Both Amanda and Dr. Walker made me walk out of there a floss and fluoride-believer, which I now do twice, if not once a day. I came in 2 weeks later to get my 3 cavities filled by Dr. Walker. I walked out of there in less than an hour. Dr. Walker, is extremely professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and is also a punctual perfectionist. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. DO NOT LET THEM DRILL YOUR TEETH. I went to them over a year ago but am finally getting around to write a review. I went in for a normal exam and teeth cleaning as a new patient because I go to college up here and was due for a teeth cleaning and could not go home to my normal dentist. The hygienist was very good and did a great job but the dentist was HORRIBLE. I had x-rays done with this office and I knew from my previous dentist I had a cavity but this dentist proceeded to tell me I had $3000 dollars worth of cavities and sealant work to be done. They decided to do my sealant for free so I went ahead and let them do it, they probably offered to do it for free because they were going to make enough money off my "cavities", but I got a second opinion and I still only had that one cavity my dentist previously told me about and their sealant fell out about 4 months later. THEY JUST WANTED MY INSURANCE MONEY. I don't have the cavities they stated and would have drilled my teeth just for the money. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR PROCEDURES THAT DONT NEED TO BE DONE AND RUIN YOUR TEETH THAT ARE PROBABLY FINE. read more

Wow what a great office! I chose crossroads dental care as I was referred to Dr Lim by a friend. I had to get my wisdom teeth removed and was very nervous when I went in, but everybody from front office girls to hygienist to Dr Lim were extremely welcomimg. As soon as I walked in the girls greeted me and started my check-in process, not much longer after that I was called in by the tech who took my x-rays and got me ready for the doctor, all was done quickly but with patience and attention to my needs and questions. Once it was time for Dr Lim my nerves had calmed down a bit but not completely as I knew anesthesia was coming soon and im not a fan of needles at all, i mean who is right? But Dr lim was wonderful, he noticed I was nervous and right away started making me feel better by cracking jokes and explaining how the process was going to work, somehow I barely even noticed the anesthesia. Turns out my bottom tooth was one of Dr Lims hardest removals, because of its length and how twisted it was. Dr lim was extremely patient and caring though the process, always checking in with me making sure I was ok. I can't say enough about this office, but if you're looking for a honest, caring, clean and just awesome dentist then this is the one to go to. read more

Sure, they may be friendly, but when I first went in, I had no problems and was going for my yearly check up. When that was done, they recommended that I get a deep clean, so I did. After that was done, I started to feel some moderate pain.The morning after, I bit into a soft waffle and my tooth chipped and it felt very loose. I went and made another appointment there to get the problem fixed and they recommended that I get a temporary tooth cap so of course, I did. My entire face had swollen up from what I thought was an infection so I went to a different dentist to check it out and things like that and he confirmed that there was an infection. Then I went back to Dr. Lim and he recommended that I get a product by the name of "Night Guard" and it made the pain even worse. Long story short, they turned normal yearly visit with no pain beforehand into a few months of sleepless painful nights. Been over 3-4 weeks Now within a weeks the crown they just installed on my tooth it cracked can see a hole one the side ! I have go to other dentist for help ! Need ask my attorney to deal with this , open a compliant to dental board still working on i will give update Pls just don't try any service with them ! They only care about how much they can charge you and insurance ! They won't care about you getting pain or not ....... Pls don't go !!!!! Don't be the next victim. read more

Dr. Mathew is the BEST dentist I have EVER had! She treated me with compassion and kindness. She understood my anxiety and made sure to talk me through the whole process. She tested my tooth to check if it was numb by shooting cold air on it, before she started drilling on it. Wow! I had the best experience, ever! Also, my RDA, Kim, is wonderful, again, very aware of my needs and fears. Kim is compassionate and understanding as well as friendly and professional.
