I'm not fond of AI receptionist, but they did return the call same day and scheduled right away. Were able to do a great job with a very complicated root canal on a young patient. Very professional. They could use a few more chairs in the waiting room. They're definitely in high demand and keep repeat patients. Really took the time to do the best job on every procedure needed. We're a Medi-Cal (denti-cal) family that has been a part of Solano Family Dentistry for a few years now; the staff is very professional, friendly and flexible with appointments, and are good with calling for reminders to avoid cancellation fees (Thanks Toni!). Sometimes going through the insurance for other procedures can be timely as you have to wait for authorizations (for non routine procedures), which is not the dentist's fault- but they are patient and helped us follow up with Denti-Cal when my child was in need of her root canal and crown. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor. He was extremely rude, cold, and unprofessional. He showed no care or compassion for my mom and treated us like we were wasting his time. We were scheduled three times -- two times for X-rays and the third for what was supposed to be my mom's root canal. At the third appointment, instead of doing the procedure, he told us he doesn't even perform root canals and that we had to go find another doctor. After weeks of back and forth, that was his "solution." The doctor clearly lacked knowledge, didn't explain anything properly, and made us feel completely dismissed. This could have easily been clarified over the phone, but instead, they dragged us in multiple times just to bill my insurance. If I could give zero stars, I would. Patients deserve better than this careless and unprofessional treatment. read more

I'm supposed to have my cleaning in November 2025, but it was cancelled because the hygienist did not show up so it was rescheduled for February 2026. So, I waited two months and when I came, I was told that the hygienist will be late without telling me if she's coming or not. They are scammers, they scam low income and medi-cal patients into paying for services not needed and many covered by insurance, I made an appointment to have them look at my bridge that was loose and coming out, and he refused to even look until I had a "deep cleaning " which was scheduled and they had me pay $450 plus a $100 deposit. I talked to my insurance and they said A deep cleaning was covered and not to render payment but I already did. I've called and emailed over and again.l every time they say " the office manager isn't here " and hang up on me. This is abuse, financial scam, and malpractice. I do not recommend any new MEDI-CAL patients like myself visit this "highly recommended" establishment. I went in for a standard cleaning but was pressured into a deep cleaning because now all of a sudden I have "gum disease" that wasn't discussed during the initial consultation. No thank you! That felt shady and sneaky. Clearly I felt there was a lack of transparency about the recommended procedure and the authorization process that ultimately - I walked and left. What awful vibes from the moment I stepped foot in here. I should add, while I was in the very small waiting room during my initial consultation, I heard more than one patient complaining about paying for out of pocket expenses and another patient having a less than 12 month old crown fall out which they weren't apologetic for or willing to repair. I rather pay out of pocket for 5 star service and will be returning to my previous dentist who prioritizes clear communication and respectful patient care. I'll now go leave a positive review for ***32 Dental in American Canyon*** since they're service is outright OUTSTANDING and impeccable compared to my experience as a new MEDI-CAL patient at this practice.
