Went here for a 2nd opinion, everything went well. Dentist and staff clearly very competent. They confirmed basically what the other dentist confirmed. Very happy with that part. I was told front desk will give me a call in 2 days, they took like a month to call. And then another month for an appointment. Only to be reschedule out in another month. Now reschedule again to who knows how long bc they accidentally scheduled me on a day that the office is closed. Was seen in maybe May/July, currently in August and still haven't been treated yet despite following the proper channels with appointments. They also messed up my wife billing several times, she was stressed over this but was finally able to solved it months later. I'll recommend going elsewhere where the front office staff knows what they are doing. Otherwise, the service they provide is probably on par with the other dental office. I just don't understand, I made an appointment, which means I committed to that appointment. Now they wanted to cancel the appointment bc they were waiting for me to call them to confirm that I was going to that appointment, and then later change the reason why the appointment was cancel was bc it's a day that the dental office is closed... so they were lying before when the initially cancel it was bc I did not call them back a few days ahead to confirm that I was coming in? read more

Great DDS office! My sister highly recommended me to their family practice and I am so happy that I took her advice! Setting up a 1st time consultation was SUPER EASY thanks to Theresa! Offices need more front desk people like her who greet customers, friendly, and answer any and all questions. She set me up with an appointment, took all of my info down, and checked everything prior to my appointment to make sure everything was A-OK on the day of. Do you go into a DDS office dreading getting the X-ray pics of your teeth??? There's no need here. Cynthia the Teeth Photographer made the whole process comfortable yet quick. It was her tone of voice, relaxing vibe, and that "look up and pretend you're looking at the stars" that made it easy. Plus, they have a cool monitor that shows moving artwork such as islands, waves, birds, and so forth. Looking at the views, you feel like you're on a vacation and your body just naturally relaxes. While waiting, I was thinking "Where's the Pina Colada???" hahaha Dr. Jade is easy to talk to. She listened to all of my concerns and came up with a game plan that I think will work. The best part? She was able to get me perio-maintenance the day of. I did not have to schedule another appointment like at other offices. This was very convenient! PLUS, can I get a woot woot for early AM appointments and Saturday appointments! Ok, ok, ok....so now to the actual work on the teeth! Cynthia was the hygienist who took care of me and I have no complaints. She was able to perform the work by applying numbing cream while other offices are more quick to call for anesthesia. She had a gentle touch and would ask me if I was ok throughout my time with her. She did a terrific job! My teeth looked and felt super detailed hahaha I look forward to going to this office! I've liked Dr Jade in my interactions with her but, thank goodness, I haven't needed her services. I have to compliment them on the office. So this is a story of my first immensely painful toothache and some truly admirable ethical recommendations made to yield the best result for my case. I entered Marine Encore with a 5 day old molar tooth ache that my hygienist carefully worked around for my hygiene appointment and took several x-rays. Dr. Jade suspected a problem with my tooth that could've been solved through an extraction, but made the recommendation to visit Vallejo Oral Surgery (VOS). VOS could've also opted for an extraction and implant solution, but again, they felt the tooth could be salvaged and referred me to the Solano Endodonic Specialists who performed a root canal and saved my tooth. The overall treatment plan meant that I got to keep my tooth and after the endodonic procedure the pain I was experiencing beforehand was completely gone. I got my first full night of pain free sleep in days and am very grateful to this team that works together for the best possible solution for each case. read more

I've always had a great experience with everyone who works at Marina Encore Dental. The woman who greeted my when I walkded in was friendly and helpful today in helping me switch my insurance provider and they volunteered to make the calls. That was great. My hygienist used a new bit of technology to clean my teeth that DID NOT require scaling the tartar off with a metal device. She explained that your teeth are like a piece of heavy glass and scratching them is not something that magically heals itself, so she was able to do her job equally well with high-pressure water. She also used a dye that helps me see exactly where I was doing a good job with my brush and floss and areas that needed work. I'll keep coming back. read more

This is my favorite dentist office! Usually going to the dentist seems like a drag or a chore but when I come here I have a great experience with the friendly staff and I can zone out watching my favorite Netflix shows while getting work done! The environment they provide is very comforting and the energy is so loving! They are so non judgmental about how your teeth look because I'm always so embarrassed when showing people but they where really comforting about my situation and made a plan to get me to where I want to be with my teeth health! No negativity at all or judgment. The laser technology they use really helps because their is no noisy tools being used 24/7 and it really does make a difference in the whole experience, you can also wear headphones to watch Netflix too. Do not use this dental office. Be aware the dentist does not fit or place crowns, this is done by the dental assistant. I told the dental assistant the crown they gave me didn't fit, she adjusted it and I told her it still wasn't right, that it didn't even seem like the right crown but she insisted it would be fine. She used permanent instead of temporary cement so there was no way to easily remove it. I went back several times because the crown really didn't fit right and began pushing against my other teeth, changing my bite. They kept insisting it was fine. Then the pain began, from the upper and lower teeth misaligned and banging against each other. Finally they let me see the dentist who told me I had to have multiple 3D scans of the teeth on that side before he would do anything. This dentist also told me I needed a gum graft, referred me to his associate who recommended an expensive surgery. After a second and third opinion, I found I did not need this procedure at all. At this point I am seeing a prosthodontist who was shocked at what Marina Encore Dental had done to me. It will cost me thousands of dollars to get this even close to fixed. Any dental office that recommends many procedures at the first visit is suspect. Marina Encore Dental did this to me, didn't even try to get any information from my former dentist, and refused to take responsibility for any problems. I would never recommend this place. read more

They were originally in Vallejo near the waterfront and moved to American Canyon. I loved seeing my original hygenist which I hadn't seen since 2018! She and her husband had a baby 7 mo., and she had to leave to pump. Everyone, same as when they were in Vallejo, are very nice. Dr. Duquette is my favorite dentist. I have been coming here for ages but this was first visit since Covid hit and this new location. I felt safe as when I got dropped off I was instructed to call them at door. Someone came out to ask me questions, take my temperature and then sprayed me down with disinfectant. I was masked up also as well as all of the employees in the building. I was taken to my room by dental hygienist. She proceeded to take vitals and ask me questions about my teeth and general health. I like that I never had to move from my seat even when she had to take x rays! It's hard for me to move around as I am legally blind so I really appreciated how easy the whole process was. The only thing I wish was that people wore a mask wear I could see their lips as I read lips to get by other than having to ask them to repeat themselves a lot I felt very safe and glad to finally get my teeth cleaned and checked out. read more

I have been a patient at Marina Encore Dental for over 8 years and they recently referred me to a periodontist. I now have to have periodontal surgery that is going to cost me over $13,000. I am so pissed that Marina Encore Dental did not refer me sooner. Had they referred me sooner I would have received care and not have to have surgery that is going to cost me over $13,000. This dental office has ethical issue. Stay away if you can. I was having a very high hope to find this office after my relocation to the area during the pandemic. But i ended up Very unhappy with my experiences on re-cement my lower front center bridge. The first time was back in August 2022, now I recall that the doctor did not even show up for the actual re-cement work, while the technician was doing it without any clue. She put too much fillings everywhere for bonding, which does help last almost a year and half. In January 2024, the bridge was completely loose again. This time is the doctor who actually doing the re-cement, but even worse that it did not even last over a day. I went back next week for a re-cement on the same bridge. And you could guess that it did not stay attached that long. I finally gave up on this office and look for a different office. Until yesterday, i was informed by the new office that this office filed the claims to my dental insurance for both re-cement, but one referring to as lower left bridge and the other one as upper right bridge. This is just completely wrong to do so and unethical. Not recommended at all. read more
