Yay! We just drove an hour from Cincinnati to get here (for carry out, no less!) I promise that it won't be the last time! We split their better than anyone else's (even mine) breaded tenderloin sandwich, fried mushrooms (homemade) and later will polish off a piece of homemade carrot cake. The tenderloin was freshly hand battered, as were the mushrooms. The batter was crispy and light, and enrobed a nice thick piece of tenderloin. If you are a tenderloin fan like we are, you gotta try it. Big enough for both of us with some leftover for later. Our takeout bag included salt, ketchup, and plastic ware. What I didn't expect is the bread and butter that they also included! I knew from reading the reviews that every table gets this bread service. I was very impressed that they included it in takeout. We will be back soon, and I hope to try other menu items. But that tenderloin is sooo good, it will definitely be a struggle to order anything else. read more

We went here last night for the first time. There were 4 in our party. We went in and were greeted immediately and taken to a table. We looked at the menu and we all decided to get the same thing, the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. I had the sandwich with onion rings and coleslaw. The tenderloin comes on a bun with pickles, tomato, onion, and mayo. I asked them to leave the mayo off of mine and they did. I chose to put mustard on mine and it was on the table along with ketchup. They have Pepsi products and I ordered a Dr. Pepper. My husband had the fries with his tenderloin. They were incredibly quick on getting the meal out to us. Everything was piping hot! Our waitress was good about checking on us and refilling drinks. Also they have bread service and we had fresh hot bread with soft butter prior to getting our meal. My tenderloin was meaty and pretty good, hubby thought it had too much breading. Coleslaw was ok. Onion rings were good. Someone came over to our table to ask if we would like one of their homemade desserts, I am assuming he was the manager. My friends took home a piece of carrot cake and they said it was good. The other offerings they had on this evening were peach cobbler, blackberry cobbler, and a couple different cheesecakes. My first Hoosier pork tenderloin sandwich was delicious. Breading was crunchy with a little pepper flavor with a hint of sweet. Richelle got the cod sandwich and it was very good too. She got the fries and coleslaw to make it a platter. Thick cut cabbage, with a creamy slaw sauce that was not over saucy. We really like the bread service, a loaf with white, pumpernickel, and wheat all in one. They have a breakfast all day menu, which has a tenderloin. The staff was very attentive and friendly, multiple staff asking if we needed anything. Breaded tenderloin one of the best we (native Hoosiers) have ever had. Excellent chicken tenders, French fries, and breaded mushrooms. We went to crossroads today on the way to Lawrenceburg and have no regrets. They started out bringing us a bread and butter platter as an appetizer. The bread was unique as it was 3 different kind of bread all baked side by side in almost like a roll loaf. Yum. Then I got the chicken parm which was delicious. The chicken was perfect. Everyone got what they asked for and walked out stuffed. Portions were bigger than most could eat. I'm giving it a 4 because I'm particular and if the ranch was homemade it would have taken the side salads so much farther. Def some kind of store bought, typical brand dressing. Also, I think the garlic bread could have been just a little better. What a nice little find on route 50. Was traveling out of town and had my eye on this place from a few weeks ago. It was dinner time so I gave him a try. I was not disappointed by the home-cooked meal and the local hospitality. I had the catfish dinner with two sides. The Cajun spice on the fish was perfect. Topped off with a side salad green beans made for a nice dinner. The ambience inside the restaurant was really neat with many of the items. Remind me of my grandma's place. Stopped here on the way to Versailles state park and enjoyed the experience. I'll start with parking - there's a metric ton of it. The restaurant is pretty big and has a lot of seating. Some tables are joined and use standing doors as dividers which is a rather unique solution :) The menu has a plenty of options to choose from and is mostly comprised of American / new American fare. I got chicken tenders with a hash brown casserole and carrots, and it tasted good. The order was done very quickly and our server was attentive and friendly. About an hour and 20 minute drive for us, but we had to see what the buzz was about here. We were promptly seated on a Friday nite, I was here mainly to try the pork tenderloin dinner. It was a generous portion and with sawmill gravy on the side which I used to dip bites of it into. It tasted great and I couldn't even finish it all. Sides were carrots and green beans. Also had a bowl of chicken rice/mushroom soup that was kinda meh. Service was friendly and OK. This place is a little noisy even when it isn't full, so bear that in mind. We've stopped here twice while attending high school sporting events. Both times we had good service and better than average food. The doors used for table dividers are unique, but don't do a great job of making you feel separated from the people next to you. I am not a big breakfast person or McDonald's for that matter, so I was happy to find this family restaurant The interior was lovely. Loved how they used old doors to make table dividers...very pretty and clever. Really broke up the large room and have the dinner the sense of privary. Tony went with the Hen' s Nest Breakfast combo of 2 eggs, sausage, hashbrown casserole and toast with milk and coffee. I went with biscuits and gravy and soda....it was COLD!!!! Everything was pre-made and reheated in the microwave.....very very very very disappointed. I will not eat here again...that's my personal opinion and review. This restaurant without a doubt has the best Fried Catfish Fillets in the entire state of Indiana. We know we have search high and low to find a replacement for our "retired" favorite Frank and Mary's Catfish, formerly in Pittsboro. Best thing is their food menu is great plus has wonderful service. We eat in, then order some fried catfish fillets to go. Place them in the freezer when we get home and reheat them in our Air Fryer....always delicious! Highly recommend making a stop in Versailles, Indiana on In 421 & US 50. This was a magnificent family restaurant that we discovered in Versailles. A huge menu of both breakfast as well as lunch/dinner options are available here. We started with an appetizer sampler of sorts that they called the Combo Platter. It came with a few chicken tenders, potato skins that had bacon and cheese on them, breaded mozzarella sticks, and finally breaded mushrooms. The chicken strips were very good with a nice crisp breading. It didn't have a ton of flavour in the breading but the chicken was juicy, the breading was nice and crisp and the honey mustard dip was fine. The cheese sticks were one of the best I've had and their marinara dipping sauce was housemade and delicious too. Simply phenomenal. The potato skins were pretty standard with the cheese and bacon as well as sour cream and while they didn't have any unique twists on it I found them quite good. I'm not a huge mushroom guy but these were fine for what they were. For my main course I got one their signature dishes the Pork Tenderloin Breakfast. It comes with a big ole tenderloin with a side of white gravy, a hashbrown casserole, baked apples, two biscuits as well as two eggs over medium for me. The eggs were fine as was the apples and biscuits. The hashbrown casserole is just like the Cracker Barrel version if not better with cheesy potato heaven. The main difference I noticed is they don't use onions in it here whereas they do at Cracker Barrel. Since I don't like onions so much aside from like fried breaded onion variations I prefer the Crossroads hashbrown casserole. The pork tenderloin was definitely worthy of being a signature dish. It had great crunch in the breading just like on the chicken tenders and the pork was juicy and delicious. Then once you add the super awesome white gravy in whether you pour it over the whole tenderloin like a chicken fried steak or you choose to dip it like I did you have yourself an out of this world dish. This was a really comfortable and home feeling restaurant both in it's decor as well as their super staff. I have nothing bad to say about this place and I will be back very soon. read more

This is my pick for a family dinner this week, I read the reviews online before coming here. Great place to have family brunch, nothing special on the steak meal, try to order the signature dishes. I love the catfish, it also comes with 2 sides. What's so special here I think is the desserts- we ordered blueberry cheesecake, carrot cake and blueberry Cobbler. There's 5 of us in our party, and it's plenty to share. Out wait staff seemed appropriate, very friendly and accommodating. Of course I can't help but compliment here on her positive attitude since it was Sunday when we were there and the place was packed. The food is pretty good and is crazy big. The tenders are almost the size of the chicken filets on the sandwiches. The service is good when it comes to friendliness although they could be faster sometimes. I do understand that things may happen behind the scenes though. Let me start with that restuarant isa great place for homemade food. We usually get breakfast,which is very good. Typically if we have poor service once we will try again ,anyone can have a bad day. But we went two times and had same server and it was a fiasco. She took our drink order and said " I might as well take your food order too ". This threw us off a little as we weren't ready to order. Each time we had to ask for straws, other people were asking for straws also. She dropped one of our party' s food so they had to wait for their food. Two Weeks prior we had same waiter ,she messed up our order and disappeared for periods of time. The food is great! The fried green tomatoes were fantastic,crispy outside flavorful inside.
