This is the first time I have tried Ison's Family Pizza. I ordered their Factory Supreme with extra cheese. I also had a sugar free Big Red. The supreme had pepperoni, beef, mushroom, onion & green peppers. I called ahead and they said it would be ready in 15-20 minutes and they were under 15 when they texted me that it was ready. I picked it up and took it home to share with the hubby. It was a 14 inch so we had plenty to eat and had leftovers for him to take to work. I did not care for the sauce on it, it was slightly sweet and I do not care for that in my pizza. They were friendly in the store and they were quick. The pizza was reasonably priced, I believe I paid $23 for it and my drink. I did not pay attention to see whether they had seating inside since mine was to go. I may get sandwiches to go next time to see if I like them better than I liked the pizza. read more

Great food! Drove from Greensburg to try it tonight, so it was a bit cold by the time we were able to eat it, but I'm sure it would've been AMAZING fresh. Service was friendly and quick! The garlic cheese bread was super yummy. We love the old world pepperoni on the pizza. I personally would've enjoyed more sauce, but that's just preference . My daughter enjoyed the cheese curds (she's a connoisseur). It's a cute little pizza shop with ice cream/froyo too. We'll have to come eat in-store soon and enjoy some ice cream too. The food was not that good I got the pizza and wig both were decent just decent. They only had one pool stick. And they had no mrage pizza.

Ordered takeout from here with friends the other evening. We each got personalized pizza stix and shared an order of bread sticks, because clearly we all believe there's no such thing as to many carbs!! There were definitely leftovers involved with this meal! I was super pleased with my pizza stix, I ordered them with chicken, bacon, banana peppers and sundried tomatoes. They were perfectly cooked and the variety of dipping sauces is excellent. I got the garlic parm(sooooo good) and marinara, my friends both got the cheese sauce(apparently it's also very good). The bread sticks were fantastic! Excellently cooked, great texture and just as wonderful in flavor! They really didn't even need any dipping sauce! I have eaten here a handful of times, and it's usually very good, it's one of those gems that is tucked away, but when you get it, you ask yourself why you don't go there more often. I wish I had gotten pics when we had food! We stayed in the area for almost 3 weeks and we had Ison's 3 times. No, we don't normally eat like that AT ALL. In fact, until we had Isons- no joking or exaggerating- I described myself as someone who did not like pizza. In fact, the first day we got pizza from them I had made myself other food but it smelled so incredibly good I thought "well, I'm going to have to take a bite to remind myself I hate pizza". I was so wrong. I absolutely loved it. I couldn't get enough of it. We spent twice on a meal at Ison's what we normally spend for pizza but I think I was ordering more than we normally ate. I think a normal sized order would've been about 25% more than the usual. My goodness it was delicious. It never tasted like frozen cardboard like I associate with most pizza joints. Best of all: I didn't feel sick after eating it. They never left out any sauces. Our order was always correct, cooked perfectly, and ready promptly. I can't say enough good things. It was really fantastic. My entire reason for wanting to re-visit Batesville is to go to Ison's. We were in town to visit friends. read more

Isons Pizza is a go-to small town classic place. I've always loved it growing up! With the high priced menu items, I don't go often. It's usually a treat when I order from them. Here recently I placed an order to be delivered, as I work from home. I was excited for the items I got, but unfortunately disappointed. I am a cheese stick guru and I ordered them for the first time and I was ready. Everything came in a tamely manner but the cheese sticks were just awful. I took a bite into one and all of the cheese came out as if it was made with the string cheese you get from the grocery. It was not melting gooey yummy cheese. It was hard and pulled out just like the onion of an onion ring. Each one did this as I of course took a bite of each one hoping for a better result. I'll stick with my go-to items like the breadsticks from now on and get my mozzarella sticks somewhere else! read more

I have been pleasantly surprised with downtown Batesville. Love all the cute shops and restaurants. I came across this wonderful family-owned pizza place and ordered a personal sized pizza (hand-tossed and light on the sauce) which was the perfect size for one. I also ordered a side of fried cheese curds (I've only seen these in WI, so was pretty happy). The pizza dough was tasty and fluffy and hit the spot. Finished off my meal with a small cup of mint yogurt from their freezer - so tasty. read more

Very pleased with the pizza, and cookies are delicious also. This place is small and locally owned, and that's what gets me going to start with. Walking in the door felt completely at ease and welcomed. The menu is typical for a pizza joint, except they have frozen yogurt, which surprised me. Next time come here will be giving that a try. Stopped for lunch based on Yelp reviews while traveling through. I felt a bit like I went back in time. Yes, the decor of the restaurant is dated, but there were great things about back in time as well. The staff were all super nice. The price ($8 including tax) for the lunch buffet including drink was amazing. The pizza was pretty good too. Enjoyed the garlic knots and pizza logs. Got to meet the owner on the way out. Super friendly and knowledgeable. He was telling me about their products. The sauce and crust is made in house with no preservatives. The cheese is also preservative free. Best pizza in town! Love the small home town small business owners. Hoagies are filling as well. Breadsticks are best ever!

This is a home town pizza place. Service is counter-style. You will get your own plates and drinks. The ambience is not upscale, but the food is delicious. We ordered breadsticks and the "monster pizza" . We were feeding two teenage boys, two adults, and another kid. Despite being very hungry, we went home with half the pizza. Stopped in here on a Monday afternoon after reading all the favorable reviews and I was not disappointed at all! There was a few tables outside and the weather was perfect so we decided to dine outside. I was shocked to find that we were the only customers there, but we enjoyed the quietness. We ordered a five cheese pizza and were blown away by how yummy it was. We got it with garlic butter dipping sauce, but the sauce on the pizza itself is a bit spicy so I think with ranch it would be out of this world. Had a really nice look and feel to it. I was impressed with the froyo bar and the mini arcade. However everything was very bland and didn't have much taste at all. And the restrooms were pretty gross with almost no water pressure in the toilet which led to it's own set of problems.
