    Cole slaw

I finally stopped there after so many years with my grandma. I also had a great service, I did not the waitresses name. She did excellent job. I got BLT, onion rings and cole slaw. The Cole slaw is so GOOD! I will be back there again with either Clifton or Colton. Place is clean!

This is your classic amazing small town diner. Home cooked meals and pies off the charts delicious. The service is spot on and very good. The ambiance is right out of the 1970's. The fried chicken special was the perfect size and cooked very well. Make sure you make room for some of the best pie anywhere. The fillings and crust are absolutely amazing.

Neat little restaurant located on the square across from the historic courthouse tower tree. Staff was friendly. Service was good. Ordered the bacon omelette, but was disappointed that it included no sides, and it was $8.58, so i ordered a side of toast ($1.56). Everything was a few cents more than the menu indicated, which, I'm sure it's due to food costs. Overall, I'm sure I'd come back, but try something else.

    Lunch at Stories

Just enjoyed an excellent lunch at Stories where the food and service was exceptional! Had 7 relatives at lunch and everyone left pleased with the quality of the food and service.

First time here. Won't be back. Wife's breakfast burrito was all potatoes. Bacon wasn't fully cooked and had to tell server we hadn't ordered. Had 4 cups of coffee before food even came out.

Quaint, cozy diner on the south side of Greensburg tree courthouse. Quintessential Hoosier food.

Tenderloin so big I had to cut it in half.

Excellent food and service. We had the Big Tenderloin and Alaska Whitefish sandwiches and they were very good. The ambiance is that of an old midwestern town diner and it was very clean.

Some background on the tower tree; seems like they've been asked the same questions a few times.

Looking for a bite while day tripping around the state, my family and I stumbled across this Greensburg staple. The restaurant is nestled into the historic downtown shop fronts directly across from the county courthouse and the infamous tower tree. Walking in, much like the downtown area itself, made me think I had stepped back in time. Not that the patrons were dressed a la 50-60's chic but the familiar tone and jovial nature of all those tables felt like we were in a different time. The food is consistent with any small town family diner. Being there for breakfast, our fare was straight forward. Family order of biscuits and gravy to share. The biscuits were good, clearly made in house but the gravy was better. Word is that you have to go early on the weekends because the biscuits sell out. Luckily we got to try. My dad ordered the omelet and said it was good. Mom had bacon eggs and toast and I had sausage eggs and toast. We both ordered a side of tatters. The meats had a good flavor but the hash browns were under done and greasy. For the price it was good though. This place was hopping for a Saturday. That said it took a while to get our food. The staff was friendly, and kept the coffee coming. The pies were just being cut for the day. They looked delicious and might draw me back sometime. Overall not bad.

I love the club it's a salad with pulled pork, something love. Richelle said she yummy loved the brisket Mac-n-cheese. If you get it to go it will not look pretty when you get it home, see my picture, it was all mixed up but that is how Richelle would have eaten it any way. There are many unique items on the menu, but I like to stick to the basics on a first visit to a Mexican restaurant. If the salsa, rice, beans, and bean and cheese burrito is good then I will try something different the next time. So I ordered a combination meal of cheese enchilada and bean & cheese burrito meal. It was served with sides of rice and beans. The salsa was excellent, very fresh and flavorful. Refried beans were very savory with good texture and flavor. The rice was excellent too. Often I find rice to be just ok, but this was full of flavor. I will definitely order a side of rice every time I come here. Service was vey friendly and the dining area was clean. The interior was bright and cheerful with colorful decor. I was excited to see a sign that said "Margarita Flight" so I will plan to dine here sometime when I am not traveling for work. Highly recommend!

Upon finishing our meal I noticed that there were three backs in the pieces that were left over. How do you get three backs out of 1.5 chickens? They obviously don't check for the right number of parts. It's seems a small thing to complain about but at $50 for the meal the backs have nearly no meat on them and so it actually raises the cost of the meal. I called ahead and they were very prompt in bringing the food out and the young lady was very courteous who delivered the food and took the payment. Ok, maybe not all that but it did give my wife and me a rush of nostalgia from simpler days gone by when service was fast, friendly, polite, and hung on a tray from your driver's side window. Not all A&Ws are the same or have the same menu. Some I've gone in are very modern and have the typical surly fast food help, sticky chairs, and so-so food with good rootbeer. Pulling into this A&W seems like little has changed in all the right ways. Pickup trucks lined up on our side with farmers, construction workers, and other blue-collar folks to have lunch. Friendly staff come out to the car and take your order, only now they have remote card readers. But the menu board painted on plywood in front of the cars is still there. The waitresses still wear those chrome change devices on their hips and they still know how to count back change correctly (few people do anymore). Our food came out fast, it was good and fairly priced. We listened to the farm report and investment news for agriculture on the radio while we enjoyed a meal from the tray mounted on the window. Even simple things like bringing out a cold bottle of catchup for the fries instead of those little wasteful foil packets that create a lot of trash matter. When you're done, you turn on your headlights and someone comes out and collects the tray. As we drove away I put on a 50s rock and roll playlist on my iPhone and we both said if we lived here we would be in every week. Keep up the great work blending the best of the past with the benefits of current technology.
