I have purchased two push Mowers here and both times they were very helpful. This recent purchase--the electric start button did not work once I took the mower home. I went back to cross roads and they discovered quickly that it was a blown fuse. A new fuse was installed and within minutes the problem was solved and I was on my way. On another visit, They also explained the problem with the mower once they fixed it and they gave me the used spare parts that they replaced so that you can see what was fixed. On another note, I purchased a riding mower and They were more than helpful and responsive to my concerns. The riding mower is a brand that they don't sell and they were candid and let me know that they were very far behind in their repair work just on the brands they sell. Instead of letting me wait forever for them to fix the mower so that they can collect an extra repair fee, they let me know that I would be better off taking the mower elsewhere. Very condescending attitude from the owner. Somewhat expensive. But not much competition in this space, so we don't have much choice but to go here. Repairs do seem reliable. Mechanics seem to be competent. read more

My local Chainsaw shop that my father taught me to goto closed a few years back and I have struggled to find a place to get work done on the saws that I own that are not Stihl Brand. (Take all my Stihl stuff to browns John Deere in Acme Pa) So I have stopped in a few times and talked to Tom (owner) about Echo products as I own a CS346 small saw and I figured I would give him a shot to fix my stuff. I paid $230 for two saw tune ups including new spark plugs and two new good chains to be installed and one saw needed a new pull cord starter. The $230 I spent I feel was a total rip off. I decided to sit my self down and get as educated as I possibly could about the workings of both the engines in my saws. Basically what I have discovered is that our gasoline is killing our equipment. I wish that shops could fix this problem with a flush out but they just can't. I'm wiser now, than I was when I felt like I had been ripped off and I now realize that it's the machines themselves and the engineering behind them that makes stuff difficult to work on. read more

One of the worst experiences I've had at any repair (or retail) outlet in my life. For one thing, the few times I've been there they're always condescending and rude. They act that they're doing you a great favor by charging $70+/hour to fix your mower. Then they take a ridiculous amount of time to repair anything. If you're lucky, and after spending hundreds of dollars on things you didn't ask for them to repair, they may actually repair the mower to where it works for more than a week. If I had to cast a vote only on the way they deal with inquiries by phone I would give them a zero. The men who talk to you on the phone talk to you like you are interrupting their day . They have my tractor in service right now....no idea what it will be when I get it back. I am 5 days without the tractor and they haven't called me as of today to give me any update. I called them and he was annoyed. First call, never before........incredible. If they are the best in the world, just from phone calls I would consider them the worst service company I've dealt with. Their communication is terrible. They are rude on the phone. They give only very general ranges of when they might be able to service a tractor and never called back after that time window. They finally told me they put people who bought mowers here in front of anyone else that calls for service. Do yourself a favor and use the other local repair shops with higher reviews. read more

Utter disappointment. Said the mower was fixed. Get it home and dead as a door nail. Take it back and Tech shakes a wire and starts right up. Tell me they had another mover with the same issue the week before. So had it for weeks and still did not fix the real issue. When I took it back they said a "few days and they'll call to pick it up." Now a week and a half later they haven't looked at. Worst is they know the exact problem ...............now. But told on the phone that the "regular customers are more important to them." Pride and customer satisfaction are not in practice here. Don't waste your time or the second time or 3 rd or money. Wish there was negative stars for customer treatment. Also ch clean the mower deck. When you hurt their frail egos they drop one side of the deck so you cut crooked. Saw this right away but got someone else I know. To deliberately sabotage someone's equipment cause they didn't fix right or in the time frame they said....... is just sad. I was referred to this place for a repair and they are as dishonest as I have ever dealt with. I asked for a certain repair and it would have been about 20 bucks for part and labor 25 bucks. next thing I know they have taken the whole thing apart (or so I am told.) I bought a replacement part from the manufacturer to make it less labor and a new piece. The bill did not drop. They charged the full labor for rebuilding the machine. This after they weren't even asked to repair those parts since I had that repaired a year prior. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

The head mechanic is highly qualified and certified to work on any equipment, large or small. Sure, they might be a little pricey, but their work is impeccable and well worth it. They treat the machines as if they are their own, including making sure that they are cleaned and detailed before you get them back. Whether you are a commercial business or a homeowner, they will spend quality time in your machines and equipment. If you ever get bad service or attitude from an employee there, by all means, talk to the owner/ceo about it. He will make it right. If you ever have questions about buying or servicing equipment/machines, talk to the head mechanic, he will answer all of your questions and point you in the right direction based on your needs. They work on several Fire Department's equipment, including Bethel Park, Library, South Park, Upper St. Clair, New Eagle, etc. Ask any Lawncare Company where they go. Crossroads Mower Center is highly ranked and people go to them from several counties and states to have their machines and equipment serviced and repaired. Go check them out, ask anyone for a reference and they will tell you that they ARE the best around. read more
