Don hit all the cue's without needing prompting. During cocktail hour he played great music and what I really appreciated is he came out and checked in about 10 minutes before I had told him in the the timeline I gave him that I wanted to do the bride and groom entrance. He let me know what time it was and asked me if I still wanted to keep to the timeline or push it back a little. Don was great at making announcements to the guests of when to take their seats and then he went table to table and released them to get in line for the buffet dinner. The music he played for dancing was perfect and when the music cut off at the end of the night we had many guests voice how bummed they were the party was over. We've had lots of guest tell us how great Don was and how they loved the music. Would definitely recommend Don. Ray is very well organized and his communication is fast, like within an hour or two of emailing him. Our wedding reception was indoors at the Tacoma Museum of Glass and he provided music for the dinner and reception along with dance lighting to make for a great ambiance. DJ Ray will ask you what songs you would like to hear and when. For instance, we provided him a list of songs that we wanted to hear at dinner and during the reception. We didn't have enough songs to fill the entire evening, so he filled in the gaps with plenty of songs that fit the genre and mood. He even was able to obtain our first dance song, which wasn't originally available on his list on his website. He is very good at reading the vibe in the room transitioning from one song to the next. He provided wireless mics for toasts and some MC services as we transitioned between dinner, speeches, and dancing. Duane was responsive from the very beginning. As I mentioned before, I'm a musician myself, so I wanted to dedicate a song to my husband during the reception. Duane was very receptive to the idea and even let me hold two rehearsals free of charge with him and Zane, the pianist. They provided very helpful and educational phrasing and performing tips. At the wedding reception itself, they definitely set the mood for the party. More than half the guests came up to me to compliment my band choice. Duane and his band performed all of my selections with impressive talent. I had requested "Life's a Happy Song" from the new Muppet movie as the grand entrance song for my husband and I, and to our surprise and delight, they even brought out a Kermit the frog puppet for the song. My song went very smoothly, and they even dedicated Iz's version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" to me with the guitarist performing on the ukelele. He was unprofessional from start to finish and seemed far more concerned with promoting himself than doing a good job for the bride and groom. He ignored our requests, messed up our entrance, offended guests, played songs from the no-playlist, repeated songs, and barely touched the list of music I had provided. He even failed to turn on the microphone for my niece while she played the violin during my walk down the aisle, which was devastating. To make matters worse, he posted pictures of my wedding ceremony on Facebook before I had the chance to share them myself. Videos of his work are one thing--that's promotion--but posting my private ceremony photos without my consent was absolutely unacceptable and shows a complete lack of respect and social media etiquette. I cannot recommend DJ Joe Frank for any occasion.
