I went here with my boyfriend and we wanted a simple order but weren't very familiar with the menu. When we asked the waiter he seemed a little bothered. So we order and get our food. He came out with home fries when my boyfriend ordered regular fries and when we told him he checked what he wrote as if we made the mistake . So he takes it back and comes with the correct order. When we looked at the plate there was like 10 fries and the sunny side eggs were watery. My boyfriend also ordered a berry smoothie which had a bunch of sugar at the bottom (In the pic) I ordered home-fries with an avocado bagel. The home fries were horribly seasoned and white, they didn't even look like they were cooked well. Half way into eating our meal I notice a hair in my food about an inch long. Which can't be my hair because I have very long hair and so does my boyfriend. Giving them 2 stars because the avocado bagel was nicely done although I don't know how you can get that wrong anyway. We chose to come here because it's relatively close to where we live and had a taste for calamari. First of all, I found some old food stuck in between the pages of the menu. It was clearly there for a while. When I flipped through it or opened to that page, an incredibly nauseating odor was released. I ordered the Nachos Supreme with chicken and without jalapenos. It took a while to arrive. The nachos did not look appetizing at all. The chicken was grilled and were very large pieces and chunks, as opposed to being stripped or shredded. The chicken was on top of all of the chips and iceberg lettuce. I had to dig under the nachos to find the cheese. Once I did find the cheese, I realized it was orange and resembled cheese that you get at the movie theater for your nachos. It was hard to finish it. The dish was not appetizing and didn't look the part either. The overall experience was too mediocre for us to want to return. read more

Second, whatever you order has a coinflip chance of being incorrect; I ordered a medium rare burger from them that was overcooked, and multiple orders of boneless buffalo wings that have come either boned, without the buffalo sauce, and in one case, both. When I spoke to the idiot on the phone, I was advised I live too far! I have been ordering for a number of years. They all of a sudden discovered that 5 minutes away is too far? When I finally received the order the delivery man indicated they were short a driver, and he had been delivering to locations far south of the diner. They lost me as a lifelong customer. I order through eat24 and I ask for w cheese burger deluxe (which by the way taste great!) but when I received it, they put mayo in it which I don't like at all and I call back they apologies and offer me another one for free and then I received the second one in under 5 mins which was great of them because I didn't had to wait another 30mins for a burger. I don't know where to start off. The parking lot is a disaster. I ordered the simplest thing on the menu because who could mess up chicken tenders and sweet potato fries and guess what? This place can but that is not even the worst part. I found a curly hair in my fries immediately. I'm a weirdo and I like to separate my food so the bbq sauce and ketchup not touch each other. when I immediately received my food I started transferring my fries and there it was in front of the waiter. My mom was telling him he did not get her order right and was explaining what she wanted so that is why the waiter was still there. He heard my gasp and I started to gag the waiter took both plates and said so sorry he sincerely apologizes and comes back with cake and a new order. At this point no way we were going to eat so we paid for our drinks and left. On our way out another apology and no answer on who has short curly hair in the kitchen. Updated review about the delivery After putting up a negative review because I had a string of bad experiences, 2 employees from the diner got in contact with me and remedied the situation. I got refunded the money and a complimentary meal of my choice, the delivery this time was prompt and the food was nice and hot. When it comes to customer service, it was top notch, though I wish it didn't have to come to the point of having a bad experience to have something good happen. It was Sunday and my family decided to try a new place to eat. We got there almost noon and there is was small parking lot available next to the diner. We walked in with no reservations and needed a table for 4 which we were seated in a booth immediately. The diner is beautiful and definitely look like an authentic 50s-60s American diner that I have seen in books or movies. Menu was very extensive ranging from burgers, quesadillas, Greek food, breakfast like omelettes, waffles and pancakes. They had martinis, sangrias, spiked coffee or milkshake, regular milkshakes available so it took us awhile before we can decide what to eat. Ok, let's cut to the chase, not trying to write a food critic article here. We ordered nacho mama waffle fries with jalapeno, tomatoes and cheese and placed our order for main course shortly after. The waffle fries took about 15mins and when it arrived, the cheese had hardened onto the fries. It literally looked like a plate of waffle fries with slice of cheddar cheese melted on top and random slices of tomato and jalapeno thrown in - to charge for $7.99. I have had better. It was ordinary and nothing special. On to the main course, I had ordered the Low Carb Topless Burger and it came with a side of salad so I ordered an extra plate of cheese fries. The burger was ok, tasted like an ordinary burger but the greens in the salad looked wilted and not fresh. Presentation was unimpressive. Cheese fries again was basically a plate of fries with a slices of cheddar cheese thrown on top and only after the check came that I realized I was charged -$6.49. My sister ordered a Spanakopita and it was served with another plate of sad greens. She was really upset that the spinach pie was too salty and basically unedible. Other sister ordered waffle with bacon with a side of caramelized apple on the side. The dish was boring and the apples seemed to be served from a can and was close to goo for an extra $2.99. My ordered the Frankstein's Monster Melt Deluxe and it did look presentable. But just like his Vanilla Malt Milkshake, it was ordinary and unimpressive. The only redeemable item we ordered was the cheesecake. That was phenomenal, creamy and yummy. Service wasn't also that strong as the waiter didn't bother to pick up any finished plates and left them there on the table even after I had paid the bill. I feel like this place can have good potential but the quality of food have to change. The common word I used for this review and to sum up my experience - UNIMPRESSED! Brunched there last Tuesday, on a dining club points run, and plan to return. Ate in: delish fried calamari with marinara sauce; listed as an appetizer, but so generously portioned it was a full meal. Took out: two orders of equally delish chicken chili. Each order could serve 2 or 3 people, esoecially when eaten with the accompanying fresh, crispy, tri-colored tortilla chips. Very disappointed! Went in on Saturday ad the very unfriendly man at the door with a black bubble coat was very unfriendly ! My husband is over 6 ft tall and this man insisted on stuffing us at this tiny table surrounded by other tables and chairs. When y husband pointed at a corner booth the man said No because it was for 5 people !!!!! My husband, 2 kids and myself were stuck standing there and just left, not once did they try to accommodate us or stop us from leaving! Really surprised. What a horrible experience. We sat down and immediately had the owner run over to us and stood about 3 feet away from us looking at us. (To me looking for a reason to kick us out) After a few minutes my husband crossed his leg and that was enough he rushed up to the booth rudely interrupted us saying my husband couldn't sit on the booth the way he was sitting. No introduction very rudely shouting why would you sit like that!!! (one leg crossed over his other leg. Foot wasn't even touching the booth it was hanging in the air. Apparently that isn't allowed in there.) You could tell the way he interacted there was a clear disgust in his voice and actions. Apparently if you aren't white or Italian he doesn't want you sitting at his restaurant. No wonder we didn't get serviced the staff were all looking at us just waiting like they knew what was about to happen. We immediately looked at eachother and said nope stood up and walked out. That man followed us into the parking lot and snapping pictures and making a phone call like to threaten us! What in the world we are in 2021 in the middle of the bronx? How is a place like this place even still open!! We had to explain to our 7 year old son that some people just don't like you for nothing other then how you look. 9 months pregnant and my husband is a veteran and who comes from a long line of veterans who fought and lost lives so assholes like that could discriminate against him. Disgusting. The staff remained quiet through all of it. When asked they said he was the boss and they couldn't do anything about it. Not that we even wanted to stay after that disgusting display of blatant racism. As someone who works in the Bronx, we occasionally Order lunch from this diner. The food often arrives late and cold. Today however I had an even more unacceptable experience and I will not be ordering again. Myself and two coworkers each ordered from seamless and ordered on our own accounts. I placed the order first however after an hour and a half, their food showed up and mine did not. I called and the restaurant told me they hadn't gotten my order. I had already been charged, gotten texts and emails confirming, and was told my food was on its way. The women working their hung up on me twice and told me to straighten it out with seemless. She later realized they had gotten the order they just hadn't seen it. I told her she needed to figure out my refund and then she hung up on me. I will never order from here again. read more

I've been ordering from this diner for a little over a year now, but today is definitely my last. I can't speak too much on the food, because I've only ever ordered the breakfast tacos or burgers which were both pretty decent. However delivery has always been about 40-45mins. Not today though, my order didn't end up coming until TWO hours later. I called at least 10 times to figure out the status of my food, however the phone was busy every time. Bad business. read more
