Love this place. Dive bar feel. Great music on jukebox one pool table. Eclectic decor. Nice bartender

Rules not enforced at night, FYI
    Bridgitte N.

Bartenders were great, but service was def not up to par. The outside table rules are not enforced during the evenings. Smokers and vapors were at all of the tables on the Crow Bar sidewalk. Bouncer told us that, "the rules are not enforced at all hours. Only during the daytime." Will not be back.

If I could give 0 stars I would.. our bartender.. in the picture, was so rude! My friend asked about the wines there and she replied, "we have red and white, nothing fancy"... kind of assuming we were like that? And then, we decided to try out a lemon drop, because she turned us off from the wines and so we asked if they served that! Her response was, "oh yes, we have lemon drops on draft because people like you order it all the time"... ok... RUDE! We took it.. and as shown in the picture, not even full and left

Stood at the bar for a bit to get a drink... addressed by one of the 3 bartenders behind the counter who told us we had to go stand in line at a specific spot at the bar. Went to pay for 1 drink with my cc, and bartender says there is a $10 minimum for purchase. Not a fan of this place... won't be back

Not sure if this guy is friends with someone at this bar... scare tactic? Not sure the aim but previous reviewers said they were also cut off or they were not let in for no apparent reason then wrote a negative review and were then threatened and harassed... maybe by this Smith S maniac? but this proved to be an unnerving and frightening interaction. I thought everyone in portland was supposed to drive around in subarus and open doors for people and be kind. What an ignorant blonde c**nt i am. Anyway, I took down my review and i am sorry if it offended. I am sure the crow bar has some good employees. I just had a bad and very confusing interaction with one. I definitely wont go back to the bar but i did enjoy my first trip to portland and look forward to going back and visiting some other bars and more beautiful beaches and waterfalls. Hopefully i dont run into this psychopath! Scary!

I had the (massive)…read morevegan burrito (which was KILLER) and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich (which got rave reviews). The kitchen is doing everything right, which makes sense because their new chef spent time at Mother's and it shows! Sierra was our server (and bartender) -- she was great and made us feel right at home. And the ambiance was just what we've been looking for -- nothing fancy, just a homey place to have good beer and great food. We did learn that it is under new ownership, so maybe that's why it checked all the boxes (and then some)! tl;dr Great place all around and we'll be back frequently!

After placing my food order, I waited approximately 42 minutes and received nothing. During that time, I observed the cook outside smoking and drinking with guests while paying customers continued waiting for their orders. At that point, I requested a refund because it was obvious that serving customers was not a priority. The situation became even worse when the bartender attempted to process the refund. She was unable to print a refund receipt and, after I mentioned that I was familiar with the Toast system, actually asked me to come behind the bar and process the refund myself. Asking a customer to do an employee's job because staff do not know how to perform basic functions is beyond unprofessional. I then discovered that I had been charged for five drinks despite consuming only two. When I pointed this out, the bartender's response was that she "didn't know" because she had just started her shift. That answer is completely unacceptable. If your staff cannot accurately account for what customers are being charged, that is a serious operational problem and raises legitimate concerns about billing practices. As a property manager located nearby, I have spent years recommending your establishment to residents and visitors. Under the previous ownership, I regularly supported and promoted your business with you all providing me $20 gift cards to my new residents because it provided a positive experience. Unfortunately, based on what I witnessed during this visit, I can no longer do so in good conscience. Watching staff socialize and drink while customers wait nearly an hour for food, being overcharged for drinks I never consumed, and then being asked to process my own refund is one of the most unprofessional experiences I have had at any bar or restaurant.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

We came to Teardrop Cocktail Lounge while visiting Portland and were genuinely impressed…read more The cocktails were excellent -- thoughtful, well-balanced, and clearly made by people who know what they're doing. One of the best parts was how approachable the bartenders were. We asked for custom drinks based on our preferences, and both came out perfectly tailored. Creative without being weird, and strong without being sloppy. What really stood out was the price point. For the quality of cocktails, the prices felt very reasonable compared to similar craft cocktail bars in other cities. The vibe was also great -- relaxed, cozy, and not pretentious. It felt like a place where you could come for a special drink experience without feeling like you had to "perform" or order off a rigid menu. We liked it so much we actually came back a second time during our trip. Highly recommend if you're into well-crafted cocktails, friendly bartenders, and a laid-back but elevated atmosphere.
