Another thing that is a red flag for me is some vague but niggling questions... getting an "invoice" with nice round numbers and no itemization. And them telling me they would just charge me a bit less because of the credit card 3% charge... which comes from their pocket, not mine, so I can't quite figure out that one. Also got a "discount" off a large bill because they kept my car for a week instead of a couple of days so they "paid the other part out of their pocket"... or the original amount was overcharged? I usually rely on this mechanic shop as my go-to place for repairs. My parents have been using Nour, one of the owners, for quite some time, and I've never had any issues with them. However, this was my first time dealing with someone other than Nour, and unfortunately, it hasn't been the best experience. I brought my truck in for an upper control arm replacement, which was done well, so there was no issue there. However, during this repair, my interior door handle was pulled off the door panel (see pictures included). This definitely should not have happened if the employee had taken their time and had pride in their work. Dealing with this issue has been a significant headache, so please be aware that some employees at the shop have not provided the level of service you might be expecting. read more

Buyer beware. This is not the same ownership that earned the trust and confidence of the community. There were so many green flags to start with but I ignored my spidy senses because our entire family has used this shop for years. Green turned red when Nor asked for cash on a $4k bill. Then the noise I brought in for was still there after $4k in repairs. Then I researched the cost of the parts and it looks like their markup is around 300%. Then the final invoice was different than the estimate. Then the "check engine light" came on on the way home. Then within days the engine started making a sound like a family of turkeys fighting under the hood. I've made an appointment with another shop to see if any of the repairs were even done. I'm not even from Fort Worth and was treated so kindly and generously. Visiting a friend I had a small part from under my vehicle come loose. Lifetime Automotive was nearby and I stopped to see if they were able to help. I requested help looking under the car to see what might be loose. They examined under the car and discovered the part needed specialty nuts that they didn't have so took off the part because it is a part that isn't absolutely necessary to have to drive home to Dallas. They did this at no charge. I wish that I lived closer. We'd definitely patron this business. 5 stars. read more

Issues with getting a part swapped out. Ended up being charged twice and had to bring it in four times. They ended up putting about 300 miles on it to "test" my car. Will not be bringing my car back as it cost about $3000 with no fix. Ask for an itemized breakdown. I like to tinker with my Jeep but at times I don't own the tools to do myself. I needed the throttle body replace and reset the computer, which of course I don't have programmer to adjust/reset. After calling first the dealership where a bought most of my vehicles and take to get serviced, well they want to charge me a ridiculous amount for a quick replacement and reprogramming not only that about keep insisting that I needed a 179.00 diagnostic. Which I reply," I know what the problem was and just needed that part replaced", and kept looking. I called acouple more places a luckily this place was one of them. First dealt with Robert which was a great help gave me a rough estimate which wasn't the cheapest or expensive but didn't try to sell me other services. Told me, "I could drop it of in the morning they would have it to me that afternoon". Which was awesome since Uber and Lyft gets expensive twice a day to work and home. I couldn't drop it off in the morning in which Robert said they have a Dropbox if I wanted to drop the Jeep after closing hours. Well I did got the call in the morning to conform pricing and after in the afternoon take my Jeep was ready (yeah for me). I met Ogi, he said he rode the Jeep around run good about if there's an issue to let them know. Well Jeep running good and I need other service in which they have my business. Great job!! Lifetime Auto really took care of us when my '06 Honda Civic began having a myriad of issues. With each new problem, the staff were thorough and patient. Lifetime's prices are extremely reasonable. Car stuff can add up but they don't overcharge. They give a 10% TCU student and alumni discount. I use Lifetime for the regular maintenance on my 2012 Nissan. The staff here is so friendly and knowledgable. I haven't needed any repairs on my personal vehicle (yet). The guys at Lifetime also perform repairs and provide regular maintenance on the fleet of trucks (around a dozen of them) we use for our small business. They are always fair with pricing. Service is prompt. We have never experienced any unnecessary repairs, or shoddy work. Robert and Ogi are the best automotive you will ever find. I had a brake light indicator come on and could not get it to go off. I took it to the dealership where I bought it because my wife insisted they should be the ones to do the work, only to have them claim the parking brake lever would have to be replaced because the switch was built into the lever and it would cost over $600.00. to repair. While the switch is built into the lever, this is not why the light was on. I decided to get a second opinion going to Lifetime Automotive where I had good work done for years, and Ogi found the problem that was a $40.00 fix. This recent visit was for a power steer pump replacement. This trip, Ogi encounter issues with the clogged hoses that burned out my PS pump and required some major cleaning under the hood. He also found a motor strut that needed replacement (it was totally broken) and counseled me on the condition of my tires. I will ALWAYS come here. So honest with you. Won't sell you on stuff you don't need. When we were having problems with our 08 Dodge Charger we went here because our car overheated in the gas station across the street. He helped us push it over to their shop to look at it. Thankfully he knew the problem and was able to fix it in a week. Told us what he did. What the issue was and what to watch for if there was any more issues. The car was old it's age was showing. So when we had an issue with it again we knew where to take it. He said this issue was gonna take a little longer because while the car was in his care something else broke and since it was in his care when it happened. He fixed it and didn't charge us.
