I came here to get a last minute birthday cake and also grabbed some other sweets while I was here. The birthday cake was beautiful with a "happy birthday" plaque, and came in a really nice box with candles and a cake cutter included! I definitely appreciate details like that, and they make all the difference to me. The woman who helped me was very nice and patient as well. I have to say, not everyone loved the birthday cake, however, I very much enjoyed it. (I got the coffee one.) You must keep in mind that this is a Korean Bakery, so the goods are not going to be as sweet as traditional American ones would be. I for one, actually prefer it to be less sweet so this is no problem for me. But, if you like overly sweet things, you might be disappointed. The inside of the shop is super cute and very well decorated. You can tell that the owners genuinely care and put thought and effort into this shop to make it appealing and comforting. This is the worst bakery I have ever been to in my life. We got over $50 worth of breads, cakes and macarons - pretty much a little of everything. They were either dry, stale, or too oily. This is a Korean bakery so if you have been to one, you know what kind of stuff they have. The pastries tasted old, like left over from days before. After eating dinner in Chinatown, we strolled over to this spot. It looked very inviting so we had to fill our sweet craving and fill our curiosity. They had a huge selection to appeal to everyone in the family. We walked away with macarons, some soft bread rolls, a cream cheese bread, and some other things. I also ordered a hazelnut latte. They did offer an almond milk alternative which I did request. Overall, this is a decent bakery with a lot to choose from. We took them home and it didn't take long for the treats to disappear. Place was recommend by a good friend, so, we stopped by for some coffee. Though it's on the second floor of a building, quite some stairs for a handicapped one, the ambience inside was just too cute. The lady at the counter, she looks like the owner, is sweet and friendly. We stayed at her coffee shop for hours, would sometimes be loud and she did not mind besides we were the only one in the cafe, other than for some people in and out buying pastries. Delicious Asian breads and pastries! This is a really cute bakery in the upstairs level of the plaza. These breads are hefty! Definitely a solid weight that's mostly filling! I love a fluffy bread packed with a thick layer of filling that spreads out to all the edges so every bite is a perfect ratio of chewy bread and solid filling. We tried the red bean bun and donut, and the red bean is slightly sweet but mostly savory. The cream cheese bun was packed full of cheesy goodness. Go early for the more popular taro and custard options, those had sadly run out by dinner time. read more

CUTEST KOREAN BAKERY!! I always make a trip to visit this small family-owned Korean bakery whenever I'm in Chinatown. It's located on the second level of the building, right next to the stairs. It gives off a cozy and comfortable vibe when once you enter. The interior is really cute. There's a good amount of tables in the front to hangout and chill with friends and family. I was immediately greeted upon entering which a plus for me. There's a huge selection of bread to choose from! If you're unsure, you can always ask the cashier who will kindly recommend a pastry based on your taste preferences. Their bread isn't overwhelming sweet like most places either but savory enough. If you look closely at their packaging, it's also really neat that they include the list of ingredients so you know exactly what's in it. My favorite is the sponge cake and pizza bun! Definitely try that out when you visit! To go along with your pastry, there's also a variety of drinks to choose. From lattes or smoothies, they're all decently priced. I love how affordable their bread is compared to most cafes and bakeries. I didn't get to try it this time, they also had different macron flavors near the cashier. The bakery is really cute and well designed upon entering. The bread on display appears old, I bought some and when I got home I did not like the taste at all, it tasted very old and not just one bread but various family members said all the bread they tasted was not good and not full of flavor. I ordered an iced coffee and it tasted like my 6 year old niece did an experiment in the kitchen and decided to call it a white mocha iced coffee. I really wanted to love it, but if the quality of bread or drinks is not there then not even the decor would make me go again. read more

crown bakery is such a cute place to go to if you ever crave for some sweets and chill time. it is located on the second floor, there are a lot of steps to go up but luckily there are elevators! so if you have weak knees don't worry you can still get there. the bakery is simply decorated but it also has a vintage and cozy atmosphere to it, which i LOVE. this place just brings so much nostalgic memories to me. they do have some chairs for you to sit and eat but it's not big. the place isn't big but they have positioned everything nicely where you don't feel packed suffocated. the staffs there are really nice, there's usually one person at the front. i remember i would purchase a lot of sweets at once and they even gave us free mochi. i'm not sure if they do that anymore. there are a lot of options for you to choose. once you get in just grab a basket and put whatever you want in there, once you're done bring it to the cashier and it's as easy as that. their cake is good as well, they're not dry and the fruits are fresh! i would always order birthday cakes here. read more

Crown Bakery is located in the same plaza as Ichiza, Mian & Tea Station, on the 2nd floor. This plaza is next door to the Chinatown Mall plaza. I stopped by this baker last Sunday, around 2:20 pm. I was surprised to see a few tables inside with patrons enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. I had no idea this place also served drinks, but that seems to make sense since they go well with baked goods. Anyways, I walked over to the bakery section (this place is on the small side) and ended up purchasing (can only comment on the ones I consumed, the rest was consumed by husband): Fried Mochi, $2.50 prior to tax- Dry when consumed at room temperature. Much better when heated. Nice chew and had a nice light sweetness. Comes with 9 pieces. Pecan Tart, $2 prior to tax Sponge Cake, $1.80 prior to tax Taro Doughnut, $1.80 prior to tax- Greasy/ oily but I did like the taro filling and there was plenty of it. The doughnut itself was soft and moist. Custard Doughnut, $1.80 prior to tax- Also greasy/ oily, but the doughnut was soft and moist. The custard filling was great and also generously filled. Sample of 2 different roll cakes- The employee gave me a sample since I purchased the items above. I didn't get to try this but my husband did. ----------------------- (Total= $10.72 after tax) My husband thought some of the baked goods that we tried were dry. That is too bad, as I really wanted to like this place. But greasy and dry baked goods does not mix well in a bakery. I won't be back here on my next visit to Chinatown Las Vegas. I ordered a cake four days ago, called again two days ago, double-checked my order, checking with my manager and staff to see who would be in the store. Their answer was, don't worry, come. We bought almond cookies, green tea cookies, cream cheese bread and moca cream bread. We all agreed that the moca cream bread was the best!! The cream was so light and so flavorful that we inhaled the bread in 5 seconds flat! We also like the almond cookie and the green teas cookies. The cream cheese bread was full of cream cheese and a little too much for us but we still like it. Because the bakery is on the second floor in a small strip shopping center and stairs were very steep, we decided to take the elevator. There were no incident going up but coming down was another story! First the door would not close all the way and then it would not open. I discovered this place while looking for a reflexology place on Yelp. Saw that the reflexology place had a bakery next door with good reviews. So I went to try it. Wow, it is really good! I'm a frequent customer of Sunmerry and 85* so I love my Asian breads. This place has similar kinds of breads but with unique twists. The Mr. Kim bun is pretty different. I think there's red bean, walnuts, and cream with a peanut crunchy topping. It's quite good but pretty sweet, and I can only have a little bit at a time. The ube donut is good, but I think the red bean donut is better! I don't know if it's just me, and I know this sounds super weird, but every bun with the crunchy topping tastes like how a Big Mac smells. It's really strange. It doesn't smell like a Big Mac, but when you eat it....I don't know how to describe it. Try it for yourself and let me know what you think. I also got the iced caramel macchiato. It was way too sweet for me. The macarons are not great. They are very cute (I got the hello kitty, tiramisu, raspberry (pig face one), and green tea ones. I've enjoyed Laduree macarons in the past so that is my baseline. These macarons are hard, and the filling looks and tastes like whipped cream. It's quite a mess to eat, not delicate at all. After taking a bite, all the cream squishes out and makes a big mess. I guess it's like sushi, you just have to stuff the whole thing in your mouth? The customer service is fantastic. I did not take pictures of the pizza bread or the milk bread. But let me tell you, they were simply amazing!! Lots of sausage in the pizza bread and the milk bread is extremely soft. The main reason why I'm writing this review is because of the cream cheese bread that's in the picture. When I first picked it up, it was still slightly warm, but oh man.... It felt heavy!! The moment I got home, threw it in the microwave for 10 seconds and took a bite. I absolutely knew it... it was packed. This place does not skimp on cream, sauce, or whatever the filling is.
