There is nothing good about having your car damaged in an accident. The only good thing was, I didn't have to think about where to bring the car. I already knew, because of what happened to my son. He'd been in his own accident, a year before mine, and I was in New York City when it happened, too far away to do anything but worry. Richard Porcelli did what I couldn't. He sent a tow truck. He took my son under his wing the way a parent would, calmed him down, sat with him through one of the worst days of his life. I wasn't there for that. Richard was. I don't forget things like that, and I wasn't about to take my own car anywhere else. Porcelli's has been on Providence Street in West Warwick for more than forty years, and there's a difference between a business that's been doing something a long time and one that's just been open a long time. Those aren't the same thing. You can feel which one you're standing in. My insurance adjuster, a man I'd never met before this, told me flat out that his company likes working with Porcelli's. Honest, he said. Good work. Integrity. That's not a word insurance adjusters throw around freely about anyone. I ended up not at fault, so no deductible, and Porcelli's set me up with a rental. Given how the insurance company usually handles that part, I was bracing for whatever the cheapest available option was. Instead I drove off in a 2024 Jeep Compass. I was pleasantly surprised, though knowing Porcelli's by then, I probably shouldn't have been. The adjuster told me not to expect the car back before August 28th. I got the call today, August 6th, that it's done. It still needs an inspection, and instead of telling me to bring it back separately for that, they told me they'd put it up right away so it would already be finished by the time I came to get it. Nobody asked for that. It just happened, the same way it happened for my son, which is really the whole point. Porcelli's doesn't perform well once. It performs the same way every time. It's not an exaggeration to say that Porcelli's will treat you like family. If you ever find yourself needing them, and I hope you don't, you'll understand exactly why I told you to come here.

Ive never had emissions testing done before so I didn't know it was done at the same time the inspection was. She explained it passed inspection a month and a half ago and all it needed was emissions and they just kept repeating it failed for tires. She was trying to get them to explain that she wanted just emissions done but they wouldn't give her any information. Yes this part was our bad. But we didn't know and they refused to explain it. They talked to her like she was stupid from the beginning. I went in to get her car for her because she was upset. I explained to them they should have explained to her because that's not right, she's not stupid and once She was explained from someone else, we both understood it. So instead I wasted 55 dollars on something I already had done (it had a sticker on it too!) and it could have been prevented if they talked to her when she was asking about what it was. To which one of the guys comes out and goes "that's why you can't trust a women, women are stupid." Absolutely ridiculous and I'm so disappointed. To avoid future issues, I complied and needless to say I will NEVER recommend Crown Collision. The damage to my car was minimal, yet it has been there for over a month and when I contact they continue to tell me parts are on back order. Unacceptable to say the least.
