Serious pain anytime I take a breath, any time I drink or eat something cold. The dentist did not have any empathy about my fear of needles. The numbing shots were so painful I was IN TEARS after. And I can handle pain. I gave birth with no epidural. They did a shotty job on a tooth that didn't even hurt. I'm honestly questioning if I really DID have a cavity. They probably over diagnosed me just to make money. And literally zero follow up care or instructions for what to do after. I am so mad I ever went to this stupid office. I won't lie, I am a baby when it comes to a dentist, and I have never felt so confident that my comfort was their primary concern. I had to get some deep cleaning done. But today I was super upset, which is why there's three and not five stars: My daughter has now reached the age where she's no longer on my dental insurance and even though I was extremely clear on where we are, I was told by the front receptionist that she absolutely cannot do this appointment without having the "very important, super expensive full spectrum x-ray". Coming to find out, that is absolute BS. My daughter's teeth are perfect, she's not cavity prone and knowing that the receptionist who tried to book this expensive appointment is fully aware of all those details. Knowing that as well that there is not insurance or much of it, that should've never been "sold" to me, especially given the fact that I told her we no longer have insurance for her. I wanted to get her one more good dental check up before she moves to Seattle and we don't know how long it will be for her to find a good dentist there. So don't take me wrong. Dr. Barton, as far as his work and skills, is amazing!!!! But I am shocked and sad, his receptionist/ appointment maker is so incompetent and non caring. When I got home and I talked to my insurance, they actually called her themselves while I was on hold, to find out that yes, there are benefits paid from the regular insurance. As I tried to tell her, that I think they would. Sad that she insisted the appointment couldn't be w/o that extra expensive x-ray, that our insurance wouldn't cover anything, etc.... So in a nutshell. I am outraged. You need a great dentist, Dr Barton is still your guy (I do not want to add insult to injury). Apparently the extra x-rays were for my insurance. I really like Dr. Maxfield and the staff. I thought it took longer with my tiny cavity than when I'd had a root canal. They did have to go through my crown and take it off, order a new one. Today I was early and had to wait 35 minutes which is very unusual. We have been loyal clients for many years. I do recommend their practice if asked.

A lot of people have dental fear but she eased my mind . Dr. Hansen and Monica were wonderful listened to all my concerns and took very good care of me from start to finish. i had no problems with the root canal, they were fine, got me in right away after i left my…read moredentist, i was able to have nitrous, $90 just in case you all need to know. the only thing the Dr gave me for pain was 2 motrin. Those first 24 hours are rough after a root canal, and this man is a Dr. and can prescribe pain meds, but this Dentist does not, so be aware, you would think after paying 2800 dollars out of my pocket, i could have had pain relief, the emergency room will only give iv toredol and that would cost me $1300 dollars just for my copay to get a toredol shot in the middle of the night because the pain. This man is a Dr and there is NO reason what so ever that this man could not have prescribed 4 pills for 24 hr period. people there are dentist's that do prescribe narcotics after root canals, make sure you check prior to any work. when you choose a dentist and or endodontists, that they will medicate if a procedure is intense. If a Dr does NOT care about your pain, he truly only cares about his $$ and not you as a person, to leave someone suffering like that. Not a good look for a Dr. very sad..dont have to worry about me ever coming back to this office.
