6/04/2026 The first call to the front desk to get an appointment for a root canal was amazing, the young lady was polite , professional , caring and understanding . A lot of people have dental fear but she eased my mind . Dr. Hansen and Monica were wonderful listened to all my concerns and took very good care of me from start to finish. I highly recommend advanced endodontis care and I will not go anywhere else for work . And I got in the same day that was awesome. I have dental anxiety but it was a great experience . If I focus strictly on the quality of the dental work itself, I was satisfied. Unfortunately, my experience with this office was overshadowed by serious concerns about their business and billing practices. Several months after my treatment, I was contacted and told that my insurance had denied the claim and that I now owed over $1,200 in additional charges, on top of the $700 I had already paid as a copay. After investigating with my insurance carrier, I learned that the denial occurred because the office failed to obtain a required prior authorization. Under the provider's contract with my insurance, for the procedure I received, my patient responsibility was $0. In other words, I did not legally or contractually owe anything beyond what insurance covered. Despite this, the office aggressively attempted to collect additional payment from me. Because my patient responsibility was zero, the $700 I paid was an overpayment that was only refunded after continued dispute. According to my insurance carrier, these collection attempts constituted a violation of the provider's contract. It was deeply troubling to be pressured to pay for a mistake that was not mine. I carry insurance specifically to avoid situations like this, and it is unacceptable for a provider to shift their administrative errors onto patients. While the clinical care was fine, I cannot recommend this office due to its handling of billing issues. Patients should be able to trust that insurance is processed correctly and that they will not be pressured into paying charges they do not owe. read more

I went in for my first root canal and I was anxious but the staff made me feel comfortable. They offered me a blanket and a neck pillow. I was also given noise canceling headphones with music to listen to while it was going on. It only lasted 20 minutes. I was in and out of there in an hour. read more

From the initial phone call with the scheduler to the actual procedure and follow up, AEC was nothing less than professional. From the moment I walked in to the beautiful offices, they made me feel comfortable. Both Dr. Hansen and his assistant (unfortunately I don't recall her name) we're professional, informative and spent the time to answer my many questions. The procedure took about as long as a regular dental appointment and the pain was actually much less than I expected. I've only taken one ibuprofen tablet and one Tylenol tablet as a follow up. Virtually painless in the chair and afterward. I can't say enough about AEC. Professional and as pleasant as a root canal can be. It certainly changed my perspective about getting a "dreaded" root canal. Thanks AEC! read more

Root canals are super scary and nobody wants to have one but rest assured, if you've found this review, you've found the perfect endodontist! I have extreme anxiety when it comes to dental offices yet, when I walked through the doors at Advanced Endodontic Care, the office is set up so beautifully and it instantly makes you feel right at home. The entire staff is caring and ready to answer any questions you might have before your procedure and ease any anxious feelings you may have. When Dr.Hawkins came in he was incredibly professional and kind. He is thorough when explaining the procedure as well as the other options and ready to talk about the pros and cons of each option. He never makes you feel like he doesn't have time for you and will allow you time to think about your decision rather than rushing you or trying to sway you. He is very gentle and willing to talk to you through the procedure so that you're not caught off guard by anything. I can honestly say that Dr.Hawkins is a wonderful advocate for your dental health and I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to see him, he did my root canal revision quickly and painlessly. While my hope is that I never need another root canal, I know that Dr.Hawkins and his whole team would take great care of me again! I truly cannot say enough great things about this kind, clean, honest and caring staff! I had an absolutely pleasant experience today with Dr. Hawkins. I needed a root canal on a lower molar and had been putting it off because of fear of discomfort. I can say I had absolutely no pain at all. His injection was awesome, I didn't feel a thing. He made sure I was super numb and even gave me extra anesthetic to calm my fears. His assistant Adriel made me feel so comfortable, she has a great bedside manner as well. She gave me headphones and a blanket, and talked to me making me feel so relaxed. Would you ever, in your wildest dreams, think that getting a root canal would be preferable over getting a filling? Prior to today, I NEVER would have even entertained the thought. After working with Dr. Wuerch and Adriel, though, I am now a believer! This was my first (and hopefully only) root canal, and let me tell you, I was terrified. I delayed the appointment for several weeks until finally telling myself just to suck it up. It all starts over the phone with the extremely polite front desk staff at Advanced Endodontic Care. They are kind, courteous, and helpful, and immediately make you look forward to your appointment. When it comes time for your appointment, as you walk in the door their faces are just as cheery as their voices. When checking in the process was quick and seamless, and I felt valued for being there. Enter Adriel, one of the very talented dental assistants. She was sweet, outgoing, and had a bright smile. Adriel was a great conversationalist, and allowed me to say everything I wanted to say and ask everything I wanted to ask. She put me at ease, and I became excited to get the show on the road. Enter Dr. Wuerch. How did I get so lucky?! He was nice, funny, and is DEFINITELY an expert at what he does. He also gave me some floor time, and diplomatically answered the additional questions that I came up with. To prep for my root canal, I was provided three injections. A numbing agent was applied to my gums prior to the needles being used. (I don't remember this occurring at my first filling appointment in Las Vegas. Boy had those needles been sharp!) After giving the gel a bit of time to kick in, the first one was barely perceptible, the second one mildly hurt, and the third one I never even felt. Score! Adriel set me up with some headphones and my choice of Pandora station, and the team got to work. There was literally not even one fleeting moment where I felt any discomfort or pain during this 1-1.5 hour procedure. (Rewind back to my referring to this as a better experience than my fillings.... I have had fillings placed on three different occasions, and EACH TIME I did feel pain at least once during the procedure and had to alert the doctor.) So, let me lay it out for you -- not only is Dr. Wuerch a pro at root canals, he is also a pro at administering anesthetic! When done in the proper way, that is when the whole procedure is painless. Concluding my root canal, Adriel and Dr. Wuerch answered my final questions, gave me a goody bag, and then sent me on my way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There are some businesses (I can come up with less than a handful), such as Advanced Endodontic Care, who make it a point not to be a "Jack of all trades." How different the world would be if every dental and medical office were run in the same fashion. I do hope that I will not need a root canal in the future, however, I am going to miss the staff along with my experience at Advanced Endodontic Care. In some ways, I wish they did offer additional services! In any case, thank you, Dr. Wuerch, Adriel, and Advanced Endodontic Care! You are awesome! If you have ever gone inside of their office you will quickly see how kind, thoughtful, and comfortable the staff and building is. You are able to use their iPads, watch a DVD, and relax even though getting root canals or dental work at first seems intimidating. It really is as good as it gets! read more

I had to have two root canals during Covid-19. All the dentists in Moses Lake, WA were shut down to the public for regular dentistry issues. I had to have the root canals before I lost both teeth. So, my dentist suggested Tri-Cities root canal experts located in Richland on Columbia Park Trail. After some long debate on leaving our isolated existence, I agreed to go. I made the appointment with Dr. Hanson. I steeled myself to get ready for two painful procedures. I've had several root canals in the past that were long and painful, to say the least. However, Dr. Hanson and his staff were very, very competent and I was floored by my experience! From start to finish, I experienced no pain whatsoever!! In fact, Dr. Hanson was gentle and extremely thorough in every way possible. This was the first root canal I've had where it only took about an hour for two teeth and two crowns. I thought I'd be in pain when the novocaine were off, but I did not have any pain or discomfort ever! The staff was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable in root canals. The entire practice specializes in root canals, so they are very good at their jobs. Like I said, I've had root canals in the past. All made me feel like I was hit by a truck, run over, and hit again. Dr. Hanson is a consummate virtuoso in dentistry, and I've told everyone I know to go see the good doctors at Advanced Endodontic Care if they ever need a root canal. Professional, gentle care, all set in a beautifully relaxing setting... without pain? Who WOULDN'T want that?! If you need a root canal, run don't walk, to Advanced Endodontic Care. Two issues with this group. 1. They gave me earbuds to listen to music. At some point, the music stopped and I spent the rest of the procedure listening to the dentist and assistant talk trash about a coworker and one elderly patient. 2. They quoted me a cost so I agreed to the procedure. Then a few weeks later called and told me that there had been a miscommunication with my insurance co and I needed to pay an additional almost $400. In my opinion this is a scam and a ripoff! read more
