God forbid your car has an issue and needs to be serviced. My elderly mother has been a customer of crown ford for 13 years and now is getting nothing but the run around from what seems to be either incompetence or blatant corruption, dishonesty and coverups. In plain English you may be told one thing which could make or break a deal. Loyal customer service doesn't seem to matter too much at this business nor does doing the right thing. One worker covers for another, tells you something totally different than what their colleague promised 10 minutes before. It's wild! Stay away, unless you enjoy the twilight zone. read more

My car was totalled by by a kid apparently racing (and hurt me too). Spent 5 weeks looking for another car and was finally referred to Mike, the Gen'l manager who referred me to George in used cars. Not only was Crown Ford the first dealer to be honest with me, after looking at prices, their price was so fair that I didn't even really negotiate. They were the only dealer who quoted me an interest rate - and an hour after I signed the contract, George called me back and found an interest rate a full 1% less. He offered - NOT pushed - a Ford warranty and I took it. I just had a relatively minor problem (3 months after getting the car) and the warranty covered the entire repair with no deductible. Mike the manager and the service people went out of their way and fixed the problem on the spot while I waited. I will recommend Crown Ford to anyone. Honest, fair, quick, great to deal with... Just wanted to share my story. Steering locked up and would not function. Came to Crown Ford and told them what the issue was. They said they had to diagnose and would have to charge me $160 before i walked in the door. I chuckled and agreed. Next day get call and they tell me the steering is no good and need new rack and pinion . Shocking ! Only wanted to charge me $2,300 to repair on 11 year old car. I said is that all ? Will now have to junk the car or donate . So on top of losing a car, I had to pay $160 diagnostic fee to add salt to the injury. During COVID no less. This place doesn't even deserve a star. A few months ago had to buy a whole bunch of parts for something that was probably minor. 2 weeks after they fix it. The hub-cup broke and when I brought it back they told the axle which was the reason I stopped by the first time had broken again. They got upset because I wrote an honest review about their dishonesty. They were expecting me to buy a new axle and the hub-cup. So they said they would do anymore business with em because I complain that the warranty should pay for it. In addition hey claimed the rim got damage. I took it to my friends mechanic, where I should have gone the first time. He told me there was nothing wrong with the axle or the rim. He couldn't pinpoint why the hub cup broke. Crown Ford claims the have trained people. They couldn't tell there was nothing wrong with the rim or the axle. It's either inept mechanics but is actually worse. Just dishonest people trying to rip you off which is what they did the first time. Kept forgetting to report this to headquarters but after all this time, that's my next step. Never authorized the job he became I rate over the phone. Every time I call to ask about the price Gary rush me off the phone. Finally I demanded to know the price he said 1,100 too replace heater hose which takes 10 to 15 minutes to change. Gary wouldn't let me speak over the call he kept yelling over me, try to explain I'm a customer I'm not one of your employees. At first he said job took two hrs and 40 minutes to complete when I questioned that he said 10 minutes smh. Which this is an on going occurrence on a Ford F-150. Then he finally blew up and said "I'll will remove the new part he installed and reinstall the old part give him one hour and come get your truck which he had for two days nothing was done at all.. when I got there it looked like a ghost town empty and Gary nowhere to be found another tech handed my keys and I left .. Never buy an extended warranty!! when something happens with your car, Ford doesn't want to pay. I brought my car because the transmission get ruined, and they keep my car for a week, supposedly the transmission was replaced, but surprise!!! This is by far the worst car dealer I have ever dealt with. My car broke down and would not run, so I called my roadside assistance and was told that they would cover towing my car to the nearest ford dealer, which was Crown Ford. I arrived and went into Service Dept for check in. The woman working the counter was one of the nastiest people I've ever met. There was one man ahead of me, who she was dealing with when I arrived. She was bitching out loud about how hard her job was and how many cars she had booked that day and could not complete booking this man without getting up repeatedly and shuffling papers from all around the office. At times it appeared that she was walking around the office for no reason except to mutter to herself how busy she was. She never acknowledged me during her show. After she finished with the man before me, she sat in front of her computer staring for at least 10 minutes before she called out next. She didn't type anything into her computer, nor did she move. When she finally began with me, I gave her my information and when she asked for my home phone, I told her that I only had a cell phone now as no one used the home phone. She then said that she too had disconnected her home phone, because she was there 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and all she did was work and sleep. She took my information and asked about the car and explained that they may not be able to look at my car that day as it was late in the afternoon. It was about 3:00 and the mechanics leave at 5:00. Ok, I'll call in the morning. I call Crown at approximately noon the next day and was told that they have to take care of their regulars and the car had not been looked at. I call again around 4:00 in the afternoon and am told the same thing. I call the next morning and am told that they need to take care of their regulars and haven't looked at the car yet. and that they probably wouldn't be able to look at the car that day. Now this is a problem. It's Friday afternoon and they are closed Saturday and Sunday (What mechanic is closed on the weekends????) and Monday is Labor Day and they will be closed then too. What can I do? They have my car hostage. They're in Nassau County and I'm in Brooklyn. I call on Tuesday morning and am told that they haven't looked at the car yet. "We have to take care of our regulars." No information from them on Tuesday. I call on Wednesday morning - they now have had the car for a week. "I was just about to call you, you're such a pest." I was told. They tell me that the car has an alternator problem and it will be about $400. I tell them to fix it and ask when I can pick up the car. "We can't tell you that until we begin the work." Late that afternoon, I get another call, they ask "Was your car making noise when you brought it in?" "It was making noise when we repaired the alternator." gee- you just noticed that. Yes it was making noise, I reply and they begin to tell me that there's a problem with the A/C and some pulleys and a belt that controls all the moving parts on the car. I ask how much it will be to fix and Anna tells me $1,200. Fix it damn it. On Thursday afternoon I call inquiring about my car. The woman who answered the phone tells me she was just running my paperwork, but the car is ready. I ask her what the final charge would be and she gets all snippy and says "I said, I was just running the paperwork. I can't tell you how much it will cost. I need to call you back." Two hours later she calls with the final total of $1,069. I get on the LIRR and go pick up my car. I go into the service dept and Anna is there bitching and dealing with someone, but a man asks if I'm here for a pickup. I say yes, he asks my name and gets my paperwork. He hands me the papers and walks away. I stop him and and try to pay and am told "We don't take money here. Don't you know anything?" "Payment is across the hall" So I go across the hall and try to pay. The woman behind the counter there takes my paperwork and immediately puts into a large pile of other papers. She then begins a conversation with another woman behind the counter about how she gave another customer the wrong copy of the their receipt. After a long discussion, she finally turns to me and asks me for my papers. I say that I already gave them to her and she says no. After another 10 minutes or so, she finds my papers and with out so much as an "i'm sorry" aks for my credit card. I pay and am told that someone will bring out my car. Where? No one tells me anything. Finally I notice someone pull up on the street outside the dealer who double parks my car leaving the driver side door open. He gets out of my car and walks away. My car is left running, with no one attending to it, with the driver side door open in the middle of the street in Lynbrook. I step into the car, without any discussion or any hand off with any employee of Crown Ford and get the hell out of there. Bottom line - THEY SUCK read more

They either have some great corporate fleets covering their costs or...I can't think of any other good reasons why they're still in business. Came in here to discuss buying out a lease on a car, after speaking to someone at the dealership over the phone. He...kinda cared enough to ask me to come by and run numbers in person, and it ended up being an utter waste of an hour I'll never get back. After sitting down and running buyout costs, he was utterly disinterested in making a deal, and seemed to just want to get back to the group of employees standing around and shooting the breeze. All of this in a seedy-looking showroom that had the most unflattering yellowish light reflecting off of dingy walls. With all the downsizing in dealerships on Long Island, I'm astounded that Able Ford closed and this flea-bitten mongrel was left to prey on potential customers. read more

I have has many experiences with this dealership and very few were good. The first time I had to bring my car they told me I'd be able to pick it up at 4pm. When it came time I called just to make sure t was ready and they said no it wasn't ad it wouldn't be for a few DAYS! Nobody called to tell me this was going to be a few day thing and I had to call them 5 more times that week to find out what was going on. This went on to the point where I had to be nasty in order to get any answers out Of these arrogant men. The next time I had to bring my car because of a loud engine noise. They remembered me from my previous visit and called right away. But they couldn't find te problem, told me there's no sound I'm imagining it. I told them numerous times that they had to drive it to hear it, so they told me to come down and show them. What kind Of idiots work here? So I went down, the service dept was closed so one of the men working in sales kindly got in the car with me and I didn't even drive 10 feet and he heard what I was talking about. Tell me why I had to waste my time doing this? Again they had my car for over a week. Now they have my car again. The service department was actually super nice and told me they were very busy it would be a few days before they could look at it. Thank you for your honesty. I called this morning just to see if there was any news not knowing service is closed on Saturdays. The man who answered the phone I suppose from the sales room just spoke to me like I was a piece I crap for not knowing they were closed. They Ripped me off $1,000+ I came in with my Ford Family Plan discount, a down payment for my lease. I was given next to nothing for my trade (expected). I was supposed to get a $1500 Rebate from Ford (which they gave) and a $1,000 Rebate for competitive lease program (if there is another lease/ another company in the same household). Joe Fusco the salesman asked me to give him copies of the other lease, which I did both in person and in an email. I was never given the $1,000. I was first told that the first copies were too "faded" and I had to bring in another set, so I had the company email them directly. Needless to say, NO $1,000. I called and spoke to the manager who said he would call me back after speaking to the sales person Joe Fusco - NEVER RETURNED MY CALL. TOTALLY BRUSHED OFF. Awful service. Brought my car to Ford as a last resort to fix an airbag light. It cascaded into the passenger door that needed to be replaced. The whole thing, but they couldn't do it! They said they work with a body shop that could and kept my car an extra 4 days and when I called, they never even contacted the body shop! Frustrated I took my car, payed the diagnostic fee and about a mile down the road my check engine light popped up. I very much doubt this is coincidental considering the car is pretty new. Brought it back and they wanted me to pay another diagnostic fee to fix! They waived that fee because I payed it the day prior. All in all the service rep is rude and incompetent and not very helpful in answering any questions. From my experience on the show room floor, the salesman were very unprofessional. Wow. It's funny how people's expectations are so different. Early in 2010, we bought a used '07 Ford Focus there. 1500 miles. Cherry. We are THRILLED with it. And on Monday, we brought it in because the airbag light went off. Tom at the service center got the part for us at no charge because of a Govt. Regulation. He said he would review our service records, and he did. That day the service department replaced two lower control arms, which were the problem all along. That's all we ever wanted. Thank you Chris. This moves the needle in the right direction. I just wish we didn't need to bring the vehicle in more than once for repair. I purchased a Ford F-150 truck from Crown Ford in Lynbrook, NY I originally found the vehicle online A few days later I stopped at the dealership (after work) to look at the vehicle. I felt rushed and pressured to test drive the vehicle. I told a Ryan (salesman) I came in to look at the vehicle, and was not ready to make a purchase. Ryan eagerly rushed me into taking a test drive. After the test drive he began asking me questions regarding purchasing the vehicle and leaving a deposit. Stating "let's do a credit application, in addition leave as little as $100 and we can hold the vehicle for you". Feeling pressured I left the deposit. Ryan called me a few days later, eventually I went back to the dealership. One week later I returned and purchased the vehicle. After leaving the dealership a gust of air was blowing trough the Drvier closed door. The door was improperly aligned (as if someone had tried to break-in) That was the source of the air coming in. I returned to the dealership to resolve this issue. The service department was able to resolved some of the air issues The next day I examined the entire vehicle. Not only was the door not properly aligned, the bumpers (front and back) were uneven, scratched, and cracked. At this point I ran a CarFax. The report showed the vehicle had been involved in a front end crash. I immediately to Crown Ford and waited for the salesman. He told me the air bags did not go off. This was considered a "small accident" and that the dealership did not have to make me aware. I ask Ryan (salesman) if the body shop could properly align the door, fender, and the hood. I was told "NO" and that I should have noticed this prior to making the purchase. The door shakes, and air comes through the large gap. When I am driving, Secondly the vehicle stink of cigarette smoke. I work long hours and sadly I could only visit the dealership at night. Disappointed in Crown Ford, Ryan (salesman) and Bob Carra (Owner & GM). Mr Carra would not even look at my vehicle, he stated talk to The salesman. I am now stuck with a vehicle that was in an accident, The hood door and fender are not aligned properly and stinks of cigarette smoke. This is probably the worst dealership and service department I've ever used. We bought a new van from Crown in 2013. Within the first year we had serious transmission problems. Instead of putting in a new transmission Crown repaired it. That took over two weeks. Two years later the transmission broke down again. Another two weeks without the van and another repair. One month after the warranty was up the transmission broke down again. This time Crown suggested we install a new transmission for the cost of $4000!!! We had no choice but to pay and fix it. When we got it back on the road it overheated because they never refilled the cooling system after the repair. DONT BUY A VEHICLE FROM CROWN FORD. read more

Horrible people. My bf's car was pulling and acting funny so he brought it to this nightmarish dump. These "experts" claimed that they needed to change the brakes and rotors. They charged us $500. Afterwards, the car still performed badly. After researching online, my bf discovered that all he needed was new tires. He went to Walmart to get new tires installed and the car drove better. When a Walmart's car department performs better than you....That's an EPIC FAIL!! Now the brakes squeaks. All the time. Every time the Ford dealership screws some over the break squeaks. Bf's mom brings the Crossover to the dealership because it keeps surging. She gives them a lot of money, and the car is still surging. SQUEAK!! Someone else I know needed a new alternator. They gave him a broken one. SQUEAK!!!!! Ford dealership people kicks a puppy. SQUEAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those loathsome bastards. Don't come to this place. The service is disgusting and appalling. Experience with Ford Crown Service is very positive. I've owned a Ford C Max hybrid vehicle for three + years (love the mileage). I decided to stay with Crown Ford service and it was an excellent decision. Ford Crown service personnel are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The cost of service is reasonable and communicated prior to service so that there are no surprise costs. Brought my 2013 Edge in for service of an extended warranty part. Tried three other Ford dealers who were closer to where I live but weren't able to get an appointment or was told part was unavailable without a time frame when they would get it. I called Crown Ford Service for an appointment and explained the situation. They gave me an appointment for the following Monday and checked to see if the part was available, it was, and they put a hold on it for me. I brought the car in at 9am and was taken in promptly. Twenty minutes later I was brought to the car where the service advisor and mechanic showed me the problem with the vehicle. Everything was explained to me and was also given other service recommendations. I was totally happy with the care I was given. One thing I was very happy with was the price for the 'Works fuel saver package' which includes a synthetic oil change and tire rotation. For 6 quarts and oil filter it was only $44.36. Wow, what a great price! My local garage would have charged $90 just for the oil change. And the car was finished within three hours which is pretty good for the amount of work they had to do to it. I'll be a repeat customer, I wonder if they'll take a non-Ford vehicle for an oil change? read more

I wanted to thank the service department for a stress free/hassle free fix on my transmission problem. I have been having problems with it for several years and went to 2 other Ford dealerships to have it fixed- without it being resolved. The other service departments had the car for a significant amount of time, and I always had to struggle to get an answer. I was in and out of this service in 48 hours without a headache, with a brand new part. The car is now fixed and running well. They were great at communicating without me having to call.
