Very sad to see that in today's hyper competitive retail market, a car dealership behave in the manner that this one does. While I did not purchase my car from Crown Ford, I do bring it here for service from time to time. Very slow turn around time and please don't ever expect a phone call to update you on the status of your repair, it won't happen!!! When you do call, expect to be placed on hold for quite a while since you are at the low end of the totem pole when it comes to customer service at this dealership. Even when I am physically present in their service department, I am made to feel like I am a bother to them, rather than a valued customer. It boggles my mind to think that whomever owns this dealership, has their head so deep in the sand that they don't see how deplorable the service is in their own shop. As a business owner myself, I would be mortified to see one of my employees so disengaged as the ones I have seen at Crown Ford. If they worked for me, they wouldn't last but one day! My recommendation to the owner of this place of business is to evaluate your current staff, re-set expectations around customer service and lastly, rid yourself of your bottom performers! I purchased my 2006 explorer from this dealer and have had nothing but problems! Thank goodness the salesman sold us the extended warranty. (almost makes you believe he knew!) Begrudgingly my husband and I returned to this less than helpful dealership a few weekends ago to see if they could help us with this nightmare of a vehicle. (Possibly trade it in etc...) To my dismay NO ONE cared!!! Not even the owner!! I am utterly disgusted with this entire place and warn anyone who is considering buying anything from them! I take my car in this morning to repair a recall issue. I had an appointment for 930. 3 hours later after telling me is till be done by 1130. I walk I. To find that they haven't even started. All the mechanics went to lunch. I asked for my car back and headed for the door. I'll pay my own mechanic now just do I never have to deal with these people. A few years ago after I bought this car I had an immediate issue after buying a certified pre owned vehicle. I had to go back 3 times and waited over 3 months to finally get it fixed. Until today I had forgotten how Angry I was at the complete incompetence, lack of customer care and generally bad service. Unfortunately all I can do is write this review. My opnion of Crown Ford is a very mixed one. Let me start with what I like about them: 1. In my experience, they are (mostly) honest. When I was looking to buy a new Mustang, they are the ONLY Ford dealership that told me they didn't have one available to test drive. Three other dealerships told me they had one, only to tell me that wasn't true when I got there. This is the #1 reason I bought my car from this location. 2. They are not pushy. The 2 salesman I dealt with were not pushy at all. They gave me suggestions and offered me upgrades but they didn't try to force me into anything whatsoever. 3. Everyone I've dealt with in the sales and service department have been very polite and pleasant. Nobody has ever given me an attitude like many others have experienced. Now on to the bad: 1. Because I bought my car here, I got my first oil change for free from them. I scheduled an appointment, arrived a few minutes early, and then proceded to wait an hour and a half. 90 minutes for an oil change is ridiculous. I change my oil myself at home and it takes me 30 minutes. 2. I recently had to bring my car in for some work. It took them 21 days from the time I brought it in to the time it was fixed. 15 of those days were waiting for the parts to be delivered. In a world where I can have virtually any product delivered to my door in 2-3 days, how can a business take 15 to get a few parts? I don't know if this is the fault of the dealership or Ford themselves but that's unacceptable. In summation, it's a great place to buy a car but not such a great place to get service done. read more

This Ford dealership is by far the worst! My "buy American" attitude may have completely been destroyed by the lack of professionalism by the staff. The focus of my ire, much like the rest of the comments is with the service department. Their hours are unaccommodating. The head service guy, Gavin, curses like a sailor and insults customers. He told me, that I drive like an asshole and the computer can't adjust to my style of driving. THE WORST, is that issues, even a recall that the company has to do, can take a full day or days and they don't provide a replacement vehicle. Very rare you get a phone call when the car is done. Every time I brought my 2012 vehicle (under warranty and bought brand new) into the service station, I have to call them to hear, "oh yeah, your car is ready." I really would urge people to buy at another dealership, especially if you get a warranty on a vehicle and will have to deal with Ford for the repairs. Find a better dealership or find a local mechanic that you trust because trusting this band of rude misfits will do nothing but anger you. Horrible service department. Car has been in the service department for 2 days! I had to call to figure out what was going on with my car. Never once received a courtesy call letting me know what was going on with my car. Then when I did call to ask what was going on with my car they told me that they didn't have my car and was i calling the right dealership? Then when I went to pick my car up it took them 5 minutes to find my keys and when I got into my car they had moved the seat so close to the steering wheel I couldn't get in. On top of that they left all their dirty towels in my cup holder and on my passenger seat. Thank goodness they didn't get any oil on my seats. The problem is still there and the noise I was hearing is even louder. Didn't even bother to look into the problem I came in, they said it was something else. This dealership is a joke. I wouldn't recommenced it to anyone! Still have no idea how this place is still even open with the rude arrogant service advisers. Took my business elsewhere! Also, the Joe W reviews are all over the internet for this company. He works there and the cars that are in the pictures are customer cars that he uses. I'm honestly disgusted with the service department and the manager Gary at that department and his manipulation. He wanted nothing to do with getting my car being looked at and he made that very obvious and lied. I got my brakes and rotors fixed there- $640 later and two weeks later the brakes were makin a grinding sound so I called them. I spoke to someone very nice on the phone and told him the issue and how it wasn't consistently doing this and he said come in but at the time I drop it off 3:30 they can't Look at car so to leave it and my appointment was for 6:30 the next morning. So I brought my car in at 3:30 yesterday and Gary was giving me the run around saying if it wasn't a consistent noise they couldn't look at it even though I knew it was the brakes and i told the guy this So he said leave the car. I called at 11:00 and Gary said they were looking at my car then and they would have an answer and call me back in an hour. I called at 2:20 and Gary answered and he gave me the same fake speech and lied about talking to me before. 2:30 and car still wasn't looked at since 6:30 am and I'm being fed lies because he doesn't think my issue is important probably because hey know they messed up and not paying them read more

I recently went in there to buy a car. They told me the payments were x amount. They ran my credit, talked to my insurance company, took the title to my trade in, and the next day I bring my trade in ready to sign the paperwork and poof! They "made a mistake" and the payments were going to be $200 MORE then what they told me. I told them I'd rather buy a car from Fred Flintstone than to EVER walk through that door again. read more

Their service department is a rip-off. My sister goes there for a recall item and drives away with a bill for $542.00! The car has less than 35,000 miles on it and they said she HAD to have new front brake pads and rotors. I just wanted to take some time to point out the exceptional service I experienced over at the Pre-Owned Crown Ford Dealership from both Mark DeMartini and Ryan Martin. While I dealt primarily with Mark, the two of them were both informative and understanding through my whole experience of purchasing my first vehicle. At one point I switched gears from an F-150 to an Escape, and Mark never hesitated to show me the vehicle that best fit my needs, regardless of how much we had originally talked about the truck. I did wind up going back with the truck, and all along the way Mark and Ryan always gave honest opinions and did their best to help me get the best deal I could. Let me start by saying I bought a Ford F-150 for my husband for his Birthday! (Exciting right) Well Crown Ford has now turned it into a NIGHTMARE. Two weeks after purchasing the truck, we are driving, the windows fog up and low and behold written on the window is FRAME DAMAGE. My husband proceeds to bring this to salesmans attention (his name MICHAEL RUSSO don't ever use him save yourself the heartache) and he tells him the dealer they picked the truck up from told them they wrote frame damage on a piece of paper and it transferred to the window! So now we take it to a body shop and surprise, surprise stress marks on frame and new bolts with wrench marks. Bring it back to dealer speak with Sales Manager MIKE BRUNO ( A higher form of salesman with NO INTEGRITY) they look at it and they even say somethings not right. We are then told we will call you tonight ( never happened and each time they were supposed to call we had to call them) We asked for them to just replace the vehicle, they tell us they can't accommodate us because they can't get a white one it's the end of the year blah, blah, blah but they will give us 6 months payments if we just keep the truck. (That cant be an option because I still don't have any idea what happened to the truck and them telling me the truck is safe is not believable considering they've already lied and sold me this truck as new) We then tell Bob the owner that we want our money back. I asked for the deposit, the payment I made on the truck, and the motor vehicle fees. There answer, all we are going to give you is the deposit because you drove the car and put mileage on it. I have been dealing with Crown Ford since 2008. The first time I have my 2003 Taurus serviced. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the cost of the repair was reasonable. The end of 2009 I purchased a new 2010 Ford Taurus from Ed Mulato. He was very helpful with getting me the best deal I was entitled to and not with options that I really didn't need (as Hempstead Ford dealer pushed on me). My overall experience with Crown Ford over the years has been very good. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful. I am not sure why others had such a bad time at the dealership. I decided to visit Crown Ford. Before visiting Crown Ford I spoke to Crown Ford's Internet Manager Mark who gave me assurances that if I shopped and purchase a car from Crown Ford,that the buying experience would a pleasurable one. So my wife and I decided to give Crown Ford a try and I'm glad I did. Upon walking in the door I was greeted by Mark who introduced himself to me and then introduced my wife and I, to Salesman Donald Bell. I informed Bell as to what we were looking to purchase and Bell then showed us many options. After settling on a Ford Titanium Escape, we negotiated a fair price in addition to getting a good price for my trade-in. The car was delivered the next day and it looked good (it should have it was new). All in all a very pleasant buying experience. I was told by someone who works at Crown, that Crown Ford is like a "Mom and Pop" operation and I got the feeling that was true.....My wife and I were treated very well. One thing I noticed that Bell had cards adorning his desk that were given to him by appreciative customers. I'm going to send him one too....That's my review hope it was informative.
