I start every business with 5 starts, which they can lose based on the experience. First off, the place of business is extremely uninviting and cold. Two desks in a big room, that's it. I met with Ricky who was not very personable, but that's ok. But his lack of experience or trustworthiness showed. He looked at pieces with his naked eye, gave me back 6 pieces that he stated were not sterling. i had to point out the sterling stamps to him. He gave a price for the sterling that was over 20% below spot. I also had a pile of jewelry I have him. He returned gold pieces when in fact they were gold. At this point, I'm going to play along because he obviously doesn't want my business or doesn't know his work. He failed to recognize (or properly quote) a high quality GIH diamond and when I asked him to re-quote without the diamond, he sighed and told me he was only quoting the entire lot.
