I'm very picky about my nails and she did a great job. I would highly recommend her nail salon and would return. I called for an appointment about 30 minutes prior to request a manicure and a spa pedicure. Upon arrival her shop was very clean, tidy and welcoming. Before she started the services she explained to me the pricing to make sure I was comfortable and I appreciated her transparency and honesty. During and after she checked in and asked me how I liked the mani and pedi. Lastly, I had some work done on my two big toes and she didn't try to upsell me on things that were not healthy for my feet (e.g., acrylic overlay). She truly cares about her customers and what's best for them and their overall health and the kind of look they desire.

She did an awesome job, taking the time to understand the reason for the visit and very attentive during the massage as well. Paying attention to when my mother experienced any pain or discomfort during her session. She explained the process and even gave her some tips on things she could do on her own back home. The office was spacious and clean, as well as the room where the massage took place. I search and this place comes up with good reviews. First up, I called and it sounded like chaos over there, nearly didn't go on that alone. Arrived to find it was worse. It is in what looks like a medical office plaza, so I expected professionalism and accessibility. Nope! They REFUSED to open the main, accessible doorway, instead insisting I climb steps, which I was struggling with, so if you need mobility aids, write this place off immediately! None of the pictures tell the tale, the place is cluttered and dirty. There was an older and younger lady constantly yelling at each other in I am guessing a Chinese dialect. They showed me to a room, it was early evening so light was still coming in through the windows, and thank goodness for that. I sit down and start taking off my shoes and notice the rugs are nasty, then I turn and look at the bed, there is this big brown smear stain about where one's butt would go, hair all over, the sheets are all wrinkled and worn. At this point I had had enough. I get up (they never closed the door by the way) and the younger girl rushes in asking if things are okay. I tell her no, she needs to change the sheets. The other older lady is yelling at her even louder and then she tells me no, the sheets are find and lay down. I say clearly they aren't fine, but she keeps telling me they are clean and have a "laundry stain." Their arguing reaches fever pitch at this point as I say I am leaving and she begs me not to go, eventually saying she will put me in a different room. How would that solve the problem, that the place is chaos, they refuse to accommodate people, and they don't care about cleanliness? I tell them they have some problems and I am don't want to deal with this as I leave, having to literally pull away from her grabbing my arm. Something tells me this place is far from legit, if not something downright bad.

Sadly, Luxe gets 1 star (no stars, really) from me. Why? Because I have been trying to book an appointment with a stylist there for ten days! I've messaged online, left voice messages, called 2 stylists - nothing. My messages and calls are not returned. Is there a secret password? I'm very annoyed with the attitude of too many stylists in Woodland, and Luxe is typical of that lack of customer service. So it's off to Sacramento I go, to give my business to a salon and stylist who cares enough to promptly return my call. Eh, they do better work in Sac, anyway. So maybe it's not a loss, after all.
