Like many others on Yelp I would rather give this woman 0 stars. However, unlike several others…read morethat have come from a bridal perspective, let me stay from a groomsman point of view this women is awful. First of all RUN do not walk to any where else. Getting a Tux rented and fitted shouldn't be such a mess. This women worked with my family to fit the groom and his groomsman. Out of the gate, at the appointment she didn't bother trying to write anything down. This quickly escalated to her messing up each individual with whom she was measuring. The groom ended up writing it all down for her so she could keep everyone straight. (She didn't even spell the family name correctly) Secondly, the week before the wedding we had several parties coming from out of town. The process of getting the rental for each of use wasn't helpful at all, she started texting everyone demanding we show up in the middle of a work day. When explained that we were flying it the day prior to the wedding and wouldn't be available until Thursday mid-morning. We were told, that's unacceptable. Unacceptable?? who's working for who? Third, at the time of pick up many of the items shirts, pants, jackets required additional adjustments. Now I've rented formal wear before, normally you might have one or two adjustments. But the volume of adjustments, were just silly. My guess it came back to the initial fitting when she wasn't keeping proper notes. Forth, PRICE. What a joke, not only were the rentals more expensive than any of the chain stores, she charged for each last minute adjustment. Talk about a money maker, she charged 30-45 dollars for each temporary stitch. Really, the mistake was either with you or the warehouse you're renting from. But we get to pay. Each tux ended up being nearly $350 each... just for a point of reference . Five, Hours. This women is a one man band, the wedding we had was on a Friday. She states (as does Yelp) that the store is open until 3pm... LOL well as you could guess. Nope closed at 1pm. When does she open next, Monday at 9 (again right in the middle of a work day). When you have a small business there are several reasons people are willing to pay more than a big box store. Customer Service: 0 of 5 stars Attention to Detail: 0 of 5 stars Ability to be custom: 1 of 5 stars Paying Attention to the Market: 0 of 5 stars Price: 0 of 5 (Men's Warehouse would have had the same tux for almost $100 bucks less. Again run away from this place, grab a pizza from Krave and go anywhere else but here. Pay attention the only way she has 2 stars is that she's had personal friends post on her behalf.

I thought the wedding dress experience could only be in person. With covid restrictions, we had no choice but to connect with a vendor that could accommodate my needs. I connected with Shawn and we agreed to set up a virtual meeting. I added my daughter virtually to help me with the selection. My daughter was so impressed with the way Shawn worked with us that she said to me "She is the only vendor that listened to you, your dress is at Pink Poodle." The dresses at Pink Poodle are high-fashion, designer gowns for a fraction of the price. Shawn curated a selection of wedding dress for me to view, at various price points. She showcased dresses and reviewed the silhouette and detail of the gowns. She was attentive to my style and presented incredible dresses she had in her lounge. Once businesses could open, Shawn scheduled an appointment for me to try on the dress I fell in love with online. The salon was extremely clean and she only took one customer a day to ensure she complied with a covid safe environment. Upon entering the salon, she shared with me new arrivals. Ironically enough, the dress I fell in love with online was the dress I selected. I was more in love with it in person. She ordered my dress and it came back in record time. She had a seamstress on site that did the alterations. She assured me that she would have as many fittings as needed for me to have the perfect fit. In addition to bridal dresses, she carries an entire line of accessories from jewelry to hair pieces to second dresses. A budget can change depending on circumstances, which mine did. I saw a dress that I really liked, tried it on, and my maid of honor snuck a photo bc it wasn't allowed ( which we found to be very strange )and I am so glad she did!! The photo she took looked like a TOTALLY different dress then the one I picked up 6 months later. The owner measured me and my receipt stated I was 27 1/4 inch's around the waist, which would put me in a size 6 according to the manufacture's size chart. When the dress came in, everyone in the world could tell it was WAY too small. I couldn't bend over, could hardly get the dress zipped up. If I made any wrong move my straps could break. I was so upset at how it looked I wanted to cry. It looked like a totally different dress. All the owner kept saying was that it looked beautiful on me and fit me like a glove BUT I needed to loose a little weight and get some spanks. I showed this picture of me in the dress she ordered me to literally everyone I know and everyone couldn't believe it was the same dress and could tell it was WAY too small. I had myself professionally measured at another boutique after this because it didn't make sense. I was measured 29 1/2 in the waist. Almost 3 inches bigger. (I'm 122 pounds and my weight wasn't fluctuated more then 2 pounds for over 5 years.) This means according to the size chart on the dress company website, I should have had a SIZE 8. Not 4, not 6. She refuses to give me my money back. When I confronted her with the measurement from the other bridal boutique, she stated by email that there was no way she measured me at 27 1/4 yet that is what the receipt says and that is what size dress she ordered. If she would just taken accountability for the mistake and reimburse me so I can purchase another dress, I wouldn't be nearly as upset and stressed right before my wedding. I am in the middle of hiring attorney, and I will get my money back eventually. I expected so much more from a high priced boutique in Birmingham. I am know scrambling to pick up extra shifts as a nurse at the hospital to earn money for a new dress. I never picked up the dress and never want to step foot into that boutique again. How can someone lie right to someone's face and have no guilt what so ever? Absolutely do NOT trust them. They sit you down as ask, "What does your dream dress look like?" Guess what, they can make that happen! They are typically appointment only, but someone cancelled on that snowy Saturday I stopped in and I lucked out. The ladies that work there are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Their selection is divine...everything is beautiful. BEWARE: if your budget is 1500, you might find something on the minuscule sale rack, but that's it. Dresses start at 2K and up because they are made with excellent quality materials. Being on the bigger end of regular sizing, there was very little I could try on, but they did their best to shimmy me into smaller sizes so I could at least see if I liked it. I sort of fell in love with a dress made with Chantilly lace, but it was 1K over my budget. Perhaps it was my dream dress, but I had to walk away because of price.
