Pulled up and the place was packed luckily I had made an online reservation...or so I thought, 10 mins after my reservation time (25 mins of waiting) I asked the host for any updates and she said because we reserved a hi-top we had to wait for people to leave the lounge, annoying but not a huge issue. Finally get sat 5 mins before anyone comes to us, it's the host taking our drink orders, our "waiter" brings 2/3 drinks forgot the soda brings that then not to be seen until after we finished eating, 5 mins later host comes back and we just order dinner instead of apps, the food was good but we will not be returning read more

Have been coming for years but the quality is no where near where it used to be. New owners should taste test their menu items. The calamari rings are large and chewy. The prime rib was more like a rib eye steak that was also chewy. Only good things are the lobster roll and fried clams. Small plates are a plus. Please bring it back to level it used to be. We made reservations for 4 to celebrate my birthday. We were seated immediately. The table had a happy birthday sign and glittery stars all over the table. Our waitress greeted us immediately and ask who was celebrating their birthday. She took our drink order and appetizers. I have food allergies, she made notes and told the kitchen staff ahead. Apps we did small portion of clam bellies no tartar sauce we had to ask and it wasn't home made it was little Ken containers. They were just ok. Stuffie- Was over done and no clams!!! Clam cakes- way over done and dry! Needs to be baked less! No clams again. Chowder- We got red and white. White was ok and red needs some improvement. I think a little salt would help. Not even a salt lover but needed it on both! I tried to order just baked sea scallops and waiter stated we don't have those just bay scallops. Not a fan so just ordered the linguini and clams. That was really good!!! Baked scallop dinner they did not enjoy rubbery they stated. Lobster Mac and cheese was good just need a little more cheese and cream in the middle so when it's in oven doesn't dry out. Which it was dried out a bit. Broiled scrod was bland. Broccoli au gratin was said it wasn't good at all. I liked it however. We all tried everyone's dishes. So pretty much at the end unfortunately the only meal anyone liked was the linguini and clams. Which is sad for everything we ordered and spent over $250! Unless maybe new owners? I haven't been here in a 3-4 years but remember it was good. I would just maybe suggest a recipe revamp!! Nice Atmosphere We just discovered the Crow's Nest. I would never had found it without someone giving me directions. I don't there is any signage off of Post Road? So, not sure how people know of this restaurant except for word of mouth. You have to drive onto a side winding road to find the Crow's Nest. I was surprised to find a marina next to the restaurant. There is a lot of activity of big boats and vacationers in the area. The water view is nice too. I had a lobster roll. It was pretty good. There was huge chunks of lobster meat in my sandwich. I was really surprised. However it's gonna set you back 21 bucks. We sat at the bar and bartender was very nice and drinks were pretty reasonable. This was our second time dining at the Crows Nest since the remodeling. The inside of the restaurant looks great. The brightness of the dining room is such a great change. Also, the two-sided fish tank is cool. We had the same server both times. Her name is Kris, and she was the best. She let us know every special they ran that day, and there were quite a few, from memory, which really showed she knows her stuff. The food was excellent. We ordered the white chowder to start. Taste and consistency were spot on. We each had a pasta dish with seafood, and we both ate the entire dish. No leftovers. I highly recommend you try. I was craving for lobster roll so I found this restaurant online and gave it a try. Food: Crazy portions. Like one lobster roll and it will fill you up. When I saw the lobster roll it's like a lobster heaven it was packed with loads of meat! The claim chowder was the best I have ever had, I always had claim chowders with loads of claims in it, but none was as favorable as this one. My friend and I also order the fried seafood platter, it was good to share! They all come with fries and the fries were good too. Environment: the place is located right next to the water, so after food you can also enjoy the peace and view. The place was set up nicely too. I recommend you guys to go try it out! My husband and I always loved this place. We let it slide a bit because it seemed to become very loud after new ownership. However, we gave it another shot last night and it has become high on our radar again. They've placed sound reduction panels which are a tremendous improvement and the staff who is still very attentive made our visit that much more enjoyable. With Mike as the bartender and Susie as our waitress, the food seemed to taste even more delicious than I remembered. I highly recommend you revisit this place if you haven't in awhile. read more

It has been a while since I have had decent seafood in the States and I was hoping that a night at Crow's Nest would change that. I was here with a large group of 15 that (thankfully) had an advance reservation. Initial impressions were mixed: full parking lot, but we weren't taken back to our table until nearly 15 minutes after the reservation time. Once back there, our server seemed overwhelmed by the large group. If I had been asked to rate this restaurant shortly after arrival, I would have given it 2 stars for service. But the food here saves the day. The fried bay scallops were perfect, a heaping portion of crispy goodness. I need more of these scallops in my life. Other members of the group loved their food as well. The dinner rolls provided before the meal were hot and tasty. The salad was just okay, but I wasn't there for salad. The missing star is indeed for service. A couple orders were messed up, but to the server's credit, they were corrected without issue. An unwillingness to split checks or run credit cards for a certain amount was a bit annoying as well. That being said, it is very clear that groups are not frequent here and I'll have to revisit alone or with a much smaller group to properly evaluate service (and possibly give that fifth star). read more

3 1/2 Stars, not quite 4 stars - it was busy for a Wed night, the parking lot was jam packed! Kind of made my own spot in the lot and hoped my car would still be there when I was finished. =) We were seated pretty quickly at the only empty table in the bar area - I wished she would've asked if we were ok with sitting there b/c it was pretty loud as the bar took up a good portion of the area with seating surrounding it. But in hindsight, we could've refused too - but didn't know how long the wait would be, so just went with the flow. Barflies and other patrons waiting to get seated crowded the bar there so we had to talk loudly to hear one another. As for the food - we ordered calamari for apps, crispy with a nice chew in the inside. Healthy portion served with cocktail sauce and pepper rings. We were also served warm bread buns on the side. Both our entrees came with a side salad - nothing special, typical iceberg lettuce salad. I ordered the swordfish kabob and my gf ordered the shrimp/scallop scampi. We both enjoyed our meals - portions were def well worth the money. My swordfish was cooked very nicely plated over rice and green beans. As we dined, the bar crowd died down a bit and noise level lessened. I would return but would request to sit in the main dining area next time around. Was coming down from Providence after some college tours and always try to find a good seafood joint in New England or Chesapeake. Found this place had good yelp reviews and seemed to have a vibrant atmosphere. They start off giving you the hot rolls, I mean you really can't go wrong with warm bread and butter at a restaurant. Although I usually prefer the Connecticut style, I got the Maine Lobster Roll with fries and it was really tasty. My mom and dad enjoyed the crab cakes and Nashville hot chicken sandwich respectively. Service was quick and friendly despite being busy. I ordered after they had already done so, yet all of our food was served together and quickly. Amazing! I'll admit, I had relatively low expectations from this place, judging by the outdated decor. It reminded me of one of those family restaurants that cater to the older crowd with boring, bland food. I was proven wrong! Pleasantly surprised by the taste as well as the reasonable pricing.
