I had gotten a bid from a landscape company that was $50 more a fixture than Jarrod's, and the other bids I got from two other electricians were comparable to GLE's. I went with Jarrod due to his good reviews and the fact that he was punctual and responsive to calls/e-mails. He was the first to respond and first to come out for a bid. The day of install his electrician Dan had gotten there before Jarrod and arrived exactly when he said he would. Jarrod was picking up the materials. By the time Jarrod arrived Dan had already reattached my fusebox, (which they did for free), and had taken down the old fixture. Dan did a good job and finished that afternoon and showed me how everything worked. He cleaned up everything as well. After he left and the lights came on, one of the lights was not working, even though Dan had tested them all. I e-mailed Jarrod that evening but didn't hear back. I called Jarrod the next day, (today, a Friday), and he said Dan had called in sick, that he was already going to have him come by, but now he couldn't today. He apologized for not returning the e-mail, that he didn't read it until late Thursday night. Jarrod said he was way down South still and asked if he could come back on Tuesday after Memorial Day to fix it. I told him, (nicely), that we had paid for the work and would like to have it wrapped up, could someone come by some time today. Jarrod dropped what he was doing, came to Round Rock, fixed it, then headed back to the other job after he e-mailed me it was done. If I have any more electrical work done I will be calling Green Light Electric, I added him to my phone contacts.

We used Green Light to have 2 ceiling fans replaced on an 18 foot ceiling. The first visit got most…read moreof the work done, but we didn't have the right adapters for the angle of the ceiling - our fault. We had to reschedule a follow up visit because Jarrod's truck broke down, but eventually got them back out. Unfortunately, they decided to install the fan remote control receivers (at the canopy 18 feet high) and not to change the ancient wall dimmer switch that controlled them. That switch wasn't safe to use, and destroyed the remote control receivers the first time the switch was turned off. I replaced the switch (for a whole $1), but the damage was done. A week after I e-mailed Jarrod about this, I texted him -- he replied that he would answer me, but never did. I gave up after another week, and bought new remotes, rented a truck and tall ladder, and replaced the remotes myself. A grand total of $180 extra and a Saturday spent to fix a mistake that shouldn't happen with a professional electrician.

If you need electrical work done with care and professionalism this is a great company to call . I…read morewas able to get an appointment squeezed into an already busy schedule as most companies including this are usually booked up a couple weeks out which is fair . But unlike the other companies Brushy Creek Electric made and exception for my small but tedious job and where able to come out the next day . I basically had a Sonos SL One speaker in wall mounting kit that needed an outlet added to the inside of the mounting box where the speaker sits. This is so you don't have to run any plugs inside the wall but rather just plug the speaker into the wall mount itself . This isn't like a regular cord hiding kit where you just cut a hole up top and then another one next to the outlet on bottom to plug it in with the cord showing on bottom. It actually needs to be hardwired into the existing electrical wires in the wall and I wasn't about to attempt to mess with it myself not knowing one thing about electrical work other than hanging simple lights and fans. On top of the fact that my stud / wire finder was saying there where wires I could possibly cut through by accident behind the sheet rock. Also the fact this whole project was under my staircase which is built a little different from the rest of the interior walls so it's sketchy for me to just cut away. The kit is by ( Thenos ) not Thanos from the Avengers by the way which will pop up on autocorrect every time you look for the company on google incase you want one lol . I'm happy I chose Brushy Creek Electric , Greg was patient with my questions very neat with the work he did and affordable considering what I was asking him to do. He was also pretty quick with the job and made sure everything worked as it should before completing the job . I will say I called around plenty of other reputable companies and got twice the price and a longer wait time for an appointment as I did with Brushy Creek Electric. I'm not saying he's super cheap because to be fair all jobs change depending on the task and difficulty level which you should always consider . I am saying he will get the job done rite at a reasonable competitive price according to the industry standards and you won't have to worry about issues later because he definitely knows what he's doing . I say this because its not fair to make up this idea that because someone got a good deal on a job that you deserve to pay less than what is recommended and then get angry when it's not what you expect on a quote . There is always a standard most people charge it's their livelihood but this company is very fair with their prices and if they say something costs higher than what you expect to pay just remember another company might charge double just because they have a big head on their shoulders and haven't been around as long. After the installation, I had to make several follow-up calls over the next two months about the permit and inspection date. The inspection did eventually pass, but I never received confirmation that the permit had been filed until I asked multiple times. After the inspection, I did not receive any follow-up from the owners regarding the drywall repair, even though Marty mentioned he knew someone who could fix it. They tripped the breaker and used a meter to see if there was a heat signature behind the wall, but things would be okay.
