The main issue with them is customer service. We signed a contract with a $500 damage deposit. Its been two months and through several calls/texts/emails, there has been no response about the deposit. This to me is absolutely shady. They pretty much just kept the money and disappeared off the face of the Earth with no explanation. I would be weary renting from this place as they might try to scam you like they have done with us so far. We will definitely never be back.

You don't have a contract to protect against this? Just a simple clause in contract... Owner can not pull unit from fleet while there are pending reservations. Simple stuff. No other options because I discovered this 28 days prior to our trip and everything was rented unless I wanted to do a serious downgrade. Owner (Kelly) says "it's not my fault I can't control what an owner does" Ummm yes you can!!!! It's called a contract! I was even a repeat customer but no efforts seemed to be made to help out with something that was NOT my fault. Google American Dream vacations in Irving. Good prices and they own their own fleet!

We had to change two tires before we left the property then were nervous wrecks the entire trip hoping the tires would holdup. The interior was clean and in satisfactory shape. Once arriving at our destination the electrical would not work so we had no A/C. When we contacted the manager in Lewisville, he told us we had plugged the camper into an incorrect outlet and had blown the entire circuit for the unit. We told him we had not blown the circuits, that after we plugged the camper battery into a battery charger, we had 12 volt lights, the dvr and tv came on and the refrigerator was running. When we returned the camper both my husband and I asked the office manager if there was any additional paperwork we needed to sign and she said no, all was taken care of. Imagine our surprise when we discovered that at 8:00am the morning we returned the camper at 4:30p there had been an arbitrary charge of $500.00 made to our credit card. When my husband asked the gentleman why he had charged the card before he even had a chance to check out the camper, he told my husband "I could, so I did". We are currently disputing the charge with our credit card company and are gathering supporting documents to verify our dispute.

It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I write this recommendation for Quality RV Solutions; but…read moreit starts with a sad story. Motor Home Specialist (MHSRV), also of Alvarado, put a whole new roof on this 2003 Winnebago Journey 34H for $19,100. Fast forward 10 months and about 200 miles later, my RV was parked at a gliderport in Midlothian, when a thunderstorm with 25 knot wind gusts blew 2/3rd of the roof completely off. On contacting MHSRV, their Service Manager told me that they only warranty their work for 90 days! I contacted several other shops, including the Winnebago dealer, all of whom wanted the motorhome at their shop to inspect the damage, but unfortunately I was parked in the dirt which was now too soggy to drive upon. Lazlo Sears, Owner of Quality RV Solutions, took the time to drive 13 miles over to the airport and survey the damage and gave me an estimate to fix it. I was uncomfortable with the thought of driving the motorhome with the remainder of the roof peeling off, so 'Laz' and a coworker came out about a week later, after the ground had dried sufficiently to drive this 16,000 lb motorhome over it, taped and screwed the remnants of the roof down and took it to their shop for repair. Upon disassembly of the damaged roof, it was discovered that MHSRV had simply put the roof they installed over the top of the old roof, without any bonding between the two roofs, nor between the 'Luan' (thin plywood sublayer) and the fiberglass cap. Winnebago specifies the use of 'Red Glue' (Dorus S 563 Adhesive) to bond the fiberglass to the Luan. What MHSRV apparently did instead was pour ordinary Contact Cement on top the Luan and put the fiberglass down on top of it; instead of applying it onto both sides, allowing it to dry, then pressing them together - as contact cement directions call for. All that was holding the 'new' roof on was screws and a bead of RTV around the periphery; this is why it blew off in a mere 25 knot breeze. I'm glad this didn't happen out on the highway at 75 mph with cars following me. Laz and Preston took pictures and a video as they took the old, incompetently-installed roof off and took it all the way down to the original Luan, to which they glued new luan over it and once that bond was cured, sprayed on a new, lifetime-guaranteed polyurethane roof. They also replaced the TV antenna a few vents damaged when the old roof blew off, replaced an electric vent which failed due to water intrusion and extraction-cleaned the interior headliner stained by water intrusion from the thunderstorm. Since I live alone in North Richland Hills, they delivered it to me when it was done for a nominal fee, as with the pick up in Midlothian. So, a shout out to Laz, Preston who did most of the repair work and Haley who coordinated the work and kept me abreast of the progress and billing. Quality RV Solutions did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it, and when they found additional damage due to the shoddy workmanship done 10months earlier by Motor Home Specialist, amended their estimate - fairly I think - and completed the job in both a workmanlike fashion and for the agreed-upon price. Laz even gave me a written synopsis when they were done of what they found, why it was wrong and how they corrected it The staff at Quality RV Solutions is friendly, helpful and seems genuinely happy at what they do. I recommend Quality RV solutions highly and without reservation. James L

A few hours after getting there, they were able to fix what was wrong and even took the time to stress test the vehicle to ensure everything was OK. The final price was more than reasonable considering what they needed to do. I was really impressed by their outstanding customer service and by the quality of the work done. Extremely satisfied!

Camper condition at pick up by my husband: Scheduled pick up time was 10AM 7/8/17. Camper was not ready, and was not as advertised. 1. Request 2 tires be replaced because 2 were bald. 2 - propane tanks to be filled. 3. - Curtain for top bunk. 4 Kitchen cabinet front on a lower cabinet or storage space. --They did not go over a check list to be sure all was working properly. When the camper arrived at our home, I immediately noticed the condition. Looked like a different camper than one I physically looked at. The first one was identical to the photos online even had the logo on front of camper. This one had issues: 1. Panel strip coming off between bath sink and pantry doors. 2. Veneer peeling along floor below sink & looked water damaged. 3. Kitchen sink was missing the hot water handle. 4. Queen mattress was in terrible shape, was unraveling & had stains. We turned it over & this is when we noticed the underside was hiding a huge rip in a corner of the mattress. 5. Looking at camper side with door, the left top trim was broken. 6. Awning was patched with duct tape and in some places still had holes. 7. Cabinets above queen bed looked water damaged. 8. A Storage compartment was unable to be used. We then called & talked to a lady in the office & she began to get rude when we let her know we were not happy with the condition of the camper & felt lied to. She pretty much said this is what a rental unit looks like. 7/9/17 First travel date: with 64 miles left until destination, we had a blow out on the trailer. We were stranded without communication (Halfway through the trip we realized Verizon doesn't have cell service down Hwy 83 in Texas going to Garner State Park) or a way to change the flat. According to our paperwork, we were supposed to call roadside assistance - hard to do when no cell service. Also hard to do without the correct tools to change a blow out. (thank goodness for my Expedition tools) Same tire we first requested to be replaced day before. Upon arrival at destination, we realized a few other things were broken or didn't work: 1. Refrigerator didn't work. The fridge took 3 days to cool enough to put a few things in, by day 5 we were finally able to put in milk and eggs. Thankful we brought good ice chests. 2. The A/C did not work. It pretty much just pushed the hot air around. This A/C doesn't work in Texas heat. 3. Sink near bath area - stopper had to be removed to use sink, the plastic spokes were broken. 4. The sensors to check the grey & black tank levels were broken. There was a steady leak coming from under the camper in seams of the pipes because the tanks were full. We also noticed that the grey tank sits on the axle we had a blow out on. --I have video footage showing that when you press the sensor buttons for grey, shows empty then the video shows a non-draining bathtub. The black water just showed 1/3 with a little glow on the 2/3 area, but it was full too. 5. The cabinet under sink next to bathroom had an inch of water. The pea trap wasn't connected to the pipe coming down from the sink. 7/15/17 Going Home: We were very worried to drive this home & guess what, yup, another blow out, same axle, & spare we had originally replaced. This time travelled I-35 to ensure cell service. Still had difficulty getting someone to provide travel trailer road side assistance on a Saturday. Left mssgs with Judy on 15th & 17th, I was able to speak to Scott about our miserable trip and how I felt so unsafe pulling this unit. He never showed any remorse or sympathy or even any real concern as to our safety. When I let him know of all the issues, blow outs & how upset we were without a way to change the blow outs, he just let me know that no rental place gives you the tools to do this on your own. When I asked him what he expects people to do, he just said "it happens sometimes and if you have a Chevy you can press OnStar, but you had that 'fancy' Expedition, so yeah I don't have an answer" I am so glad you love my 'fancy' 7 year old Expedition with almost 100K miles on it...do you want to buy it because I keep it regularly maintained unlike your camper? He said "no camper sensors work, ever" That's a lie... He then claimed that I just wasn't happy because I wanted something nicer. Well, is a pop-up considered nicer? That is what we originally wanted, but looking back we should have stuck to our tent. Said 1st blow out was because I ran over something, 2nd he couldn't diagnose...I'm sure if I wouldn't have brought the 1st tire back, there would have been another reason. Scott literally had a reason for why each item was not working or broken. Offered me 10% off this rental (didn't even cover my spare tire purchase or roadside assistance) and 10% off next rental. I laughed at this, as I will NEVER rent from this company again.

The mechanic they had repair the RV said it was due to bad gas from their last maintenance. The check engine light AND tire pressure light came on- they refused to allow the mechanic to check it. Due to no other mode of transportation, we attempted to finish the last 6 hours of our trip. 3 hours into our second day, the tire blew out in the middle of the highway. When we reported this to the owners, their response was not to ask if we and our 3 small children were alright, but instead to ask "how fast were you going?". This was AFTER recommending we drive with a tire light on. They wanted to repair the tire and have us CONTINUE driving the RV with a check engine light on. We refused, rented vehicles and made it to our destination. While they did offer to drive another RV to our location- we denied due to multiple issues with the original rental. They have STILL refused a refund and are now holding our security deposit. We had the vehicle for 2.5 days and it was NOT in working condition during the majority of our trip. We are still being charged FULLY for a 10 day rental. Do not rent from this company if you need to get to your destination in a timely manner. We ended up spending 3x the amount of money on our rental due to having to pay for: airline tickets, hotel rental, car rental for 2 cars and we missed a paid excursion as our 11 hour anticipated trip took 30 hours. They are not family friendly and do not have integrity. To charge us for a 10 day rental when we could have been in a horrible accident due to negligent maintenance, is absolutely horrible customer service. We are taking legal action against this company and do not recommend renting from them.
