I invited myself to a a friend's family vacation (thank god they were excited to have us join! ). The trip was fast approaching (I mean within 2-3 weeks). I was referred to Karen and within an hour or two, we had an all inclusive resort on the beach set for a family of four!! Not only that, she got us to stay at the same place as our friend along with all transportation included for both families (we did everything together). Prior to leaving the country, Karen sent important details and reminders to ensure smooth sailing (or flying) which was extremely helpful given covid restrictions. She checked in on us during our stay as well as before traveling back home. There were some mix ups during the travel BUT Karen continued to help fix any and all issues that we encountered right away even with the time difference. It was almost as if she were right there with us. I have never used a travel agent let alone post a review on Yelp. However, it should be know that Karen is an excellent agent and works extremely hard to ensure your vacation will be one to remember (of course in a good way). I also used her service to get me to the Oakland airport for a 7:40 a.m flight. She picked me up at 3:45 a.m. to make sure I got there on time. Her service helps me to be independent and able to travel when I want to because all my family works and can't take me to the airport. Because I can use her service, I was able to book a non stop 5:50 am flight to Chicago. Give her a call next time you need to go somewhere and don't want to drive yourself.

The van was extremely clean and Kecia even had refreshments in a cooler for us. Kecia told the wife and I if anyone needed to use the restroom just let her know and she'd pull off the freeway and drive us right to a restroom. Once in St. Helena Kecia found our hotel and dropped us in front of our room and brought our bags inside. Night of wedding, Kecia drove us to the venue and dropped us off and told us to have a good time and text her whenever we were ready to leave and she'd be right there. We texted Kecia when we were ready and within 5 minutes she was pulling in. Our return trip was enjoyable, Kecia took us to a nice place to have breakfast. We've since used OG CHARTERS for another Niece's wedding and that trip was as nice as the 1st. We also took a trip to the apple orchard, the route Kecia took was like a sight seeing tour. **Unresponsive during two major issues on European trip- was not worth the cost**…read more My two best friends from childhood and I took a trip to Europe to celebrate a milestone birthday in June. We were referred to Becky by a long time client, but wound up feeling that we were lower priority clients, perhaps felt that she was doing us a favor and didn't need to work quite as hard? She wasn't always super responsive but we knew she was busy with other clients, and especially liked that she was helping clients currently on their trips, as that was just what we hoped for just in case anything went wrong in a foreign country! Unfortunately, one of our hotels in Italy did not have our reservation when we arrived (showed "cancelled") and was completely booked. I emailed Becky and got her out of office message, with no mention of another colleague to contact while she was out! Luckily the hotel manager called a friend at a neighborhood hotel and got us booked there. It took a while plus had the hassle of traveling to the new hotel, so we missed some planned activities as a result. She reached out after the issue was resolved, but we did appreciate the follow up at least. Our return flight was delayed over 10 hours, which required us to rebook our connections for the second legs of our flights. We had booked this flight specifically because Becky, as a travel agent, was required to book round trip tickets on the same airline. However, when we reached out (repeatedly) for help rebooking she was non-responsive (until we got home, so no question of the time difference.) We had to spend hours on the phone with the airline to get rebooked. (Had we not booked with her, and instead selected another itinerary that we had found on our own with multiple airlines, we would have left on time.) Upon returning home, I had hoped Becky would reach out with an explanation. I asked about one after a couple days and never received a response. She did get our initial hotel booking cost back, but didn't show any initiative to find out why we were in that stressful situation to begin with. I find this incredibly unprofessional, and honestly insulting since we paid for her services and genuinely wanted to know what had gone wrong. I completely understand taking time off, but she should have either designated a backup or let us know in advance so we could plan accordingly. I won't be using this agency again. I am often asked for referrals at work for clients (realtors, travel agents, etc) and also in good consciousness couldn't recommend Travel To Go, so unfortunately treating us as second class clients will cost them future business as well.

If so would it hurt to hire a receptionist? Now I have given them a 2 because they are so highly recommended but if I call a business during business hours I expect someone to answer, not "loop"me. I wasted almost 10 mins trying to get their attention and travel agents wonder why so many of us use the internet and do our own travel.

DISGUSTING HOTEL and AREA! Hotel Santo Tomas is NOT a 3-star…read morehotel by any stretch of the imagination, it is 1.5 stars AT BEST. It is located in a shanty and very dangerous part of town. Because of that, the hotel's main entrance is heavily gated with thick metal bars all the way to the roof and looks like a jail. This of course is not shown in any of its advertising photos. I have NEVER seen nor heard of a 3-star hotel (or any hotel) with metal bars in its entrance The room we stayed in, although an upgrade from economy rooms, was also unacceptable: Deeply scratched walls, dirty worn out carpets, dust everywhere, broken inside door-latch, totally broken door handle that fell off, huge stains on its curtains and chair, and fleas! This was the only room in the hotel with air-conditioning, although the hotel is located in the Tropics. Its manager Marcos is not a person to be trusted. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should anyone stay in that area and especially in this "hotel" Santo Tomas. I had to get my money back from the credit card for the booking because Marcos did not allow us to stay after I had complained about the hotel even though we had already paid for the room. I want to write much more sharp words and in great detail about this "hotel", but unfortunately the Search Engine does not allow me.

They updated us even before and after we arrived in Mexico, Lori was attentive and checked on us several times to make sure everything was to our liking and was willing to do whatever to make sure we had an amazing trip. After a few hours I was able to finally call him back and Jeff answered the phone. Put me on a brief hold and when he got back he told me that Paul will be going on vacation and decided to let Jeff help us instead. I gave Jeff of some info of what we are looking for but he didn't seem very trilled. He sounded so bored knowing you need to sell in this type of business. It's our first time trying out with a travel agent since we're planning on going to Europe. When I hear the words "travel agents" first thing pops into my head is very helpful & knowledgable. That wasn't the case for this agent. I told him to contact my husband since he's the one going to deal with the financial part of our trip. He did call my husband and got more info from him. Jeff basically just gave my husband the suggestions/places he mentioned to him to review for the price. He didn't go out his ways to give us more options and asking my husbands for any other places we want to visit instead. We wanted someone to help us find the perfect destination not the other way around. Otherwise why use a travel agent?
