This hotel had been part of the package deal that was chosen for us by the billing party, See Italy. Upon checking in we immediately noticed many unsanitary and disturbing findings in our hotel room. There was pubic hair on the bed sheets and in the tub. There was feces and toilet paper left without flushing in the toilet and the room smelled of mold and humidity. We have pictures and video evidence of all of this included in the email. We immediately went to the front desk to voice our complaints and were told that we had to contact SeeItaly as they were the booking party for our reservation. My first phone call went out to the SeeItaly local line where I spoke to Ludovica, that assured me that our issue would be looked into and that our booking agent Martina would get back to us with a solution. We decided to wait in the lobby to see what the response was, we had let SeeItaly know that the room was uninhabitable and that we were looking to get out of the hotel and not waste any of our vacation time. After 2 hours Ludovica texted me and said that they had called the hotel and that there were no other rooms to put us in she reiterated that her colleague, Martina would be reaching out to us to further to give us a update and expedite our request. Another 2 hours go by and nothing from Martina, another phone call is made and no answer from anyone in SeeItaly. I then receive a Text stating that Martina works in the United States ( California )and cannot help us or contact us until 6:00 pm which would have been passed midnight. It is now 310 Pm CET and we have lost a whole day of our vacation in Sorrento waiting on SeeItaly to contact us, again, no one can help expect Martina that works in the United States and does not get in until 6 pm. Until this day we have never spoken to anyone from SeeItaly on the phone , only the initial call from us towards Ludovica stating they could not to anything for us locally. On August 8 Martina, our "US Travel Agent" finally reached out via email (attached) to let us know we were incorrect, it took 4 days for her to reach out and not even a phone call. I have also included the text messages between Ludovica and I explaining that we would not be staying there, putting pressure on them to get back to us, and also letting them know that we were waiting fro them. It is now 5:00 CET (Europe Time Zone) and we cannot wait any longer, we feel that SeeItaly is acting in a unprofessional manner and waiting until their local offices close to leave us with no options but staying at the Hotel Del Ville, which we had explained multiple times that staying there was no longer an option. I decide to take a course of action on my own, fearing for the safety and well-being of me and my loved ones, having no where to stay, we make a decision in this case. We could not wait in the lobby any longer, we check out of the room to make it clear that we never used it (Attached receipt) and go to American Express travel and see what other hotels are available to book throughout our stay in Sorrento. We see that hotel Grand Hotel Excelsior is available and we immediately take a cab to go and go see if they have availability, they do. We end up booking our stay there and the rest of the vacation goes off without any sort of problems or issues. Finally, I asked SeeItaly for a breakdown of my trip costs. My trip was $15,900 for a one week stay in Italy, plus an additional $4,225.76 that I had to incur on my AMEX for the hotel Grand Hotel Excelsior to making sure my family was safe and had somewhere to spend the night and the week. I asked SeeItaly on multiple occasions to please provide me a breakdown of my charges for the trip, the request was denied and dismissed and never produced. SeeItalys's genuine lack of caring for their guests safety and their horrible customer service is extremely concerning.

I…read moredon't know what's going on with this Steve guy, but he seems to not understand that when he's booking international travel, he needs to get passport information, destination locations, and actually make an effort to get all of the pertinent information from customers before booking a trip. Furthermore, he made his lack of adequate preparation the booking agent's problem, which I find completely unprofessional. If travel agencies are having difficulty competing with online travel options, then it would be a good idea to have a staff which exhibits exemplary professionalism. That means being courteous and patient with the people who are working with us.

While on the cruise we heard from multiple people that their travel agent got them ship credits, free beverage package, and or there was a gift basket in their room. We received nothing and instead had an agent that even forgot to remind us that we had to book our own airline seats no assistance from travel agency or agent. This resulted in the worst seats we've ever had in our international travels. Nor did we receive any welcome gift or as We were celebrating a couple special occasions- birthday and retirement. Again as Cadence website purports "to take care of the Client". In addition, we were told several untrue things. One of those was having to check in for a river cruise by 3:00 p.m. costing us time to explore the originating city. All in all, the river cruise was a wonderful time but we absolutely gained nothing by using a travel agent and do not recommend this travel agency- Cadence Travel.

On our full-service trips to Scandinavia and Japan, she took care of every detail from when we got off the plane with a private driver taking you to our first hotel, dinner reservations, private sushi classes, food tours, cultural heritage site tours, transfers between cities and hotels, to when we left our last hotel and go home (in style of course!). We have been privileged to have unique experiences such as riding a bike through Copenhagen with a private chef with a kitchen-bike, to learning how to make sushi with a sushi chef, to private city tours of Stockholm, Kayaking in the Lulea River in Sweden, taking a rigid inflatable speedboat to a Fjord in the Norwegian arctic circle, and touring the most beautiful temples and shrines of Japan with a private guide who can share details and educate you on the history and the culture that you could not find on your own. Travel agents make money when they book you things, but Aimee is never pushy with booking something every single day, and gives you time to decompress and discover on your own if you so choose. (If you want to do something planned every day you definitely can!) While our experiences are not the cheapest (The Four Seasons is always so expensive!) , our vacation time is limited, and we appreciate how we get a full experience of a city / country / culture and make the best use of that one resource that none of us have unlimited amounts of -- time. We also feel like even though the expense is high that we are getting decent value for our hard-earned money. We were with a different travel agency previously who we felt like did not provide as much value for our money and are happy we switched to Avant Garde. When a snag happens on a trip, like the plane delay that got us to Copenhagen 3.5 hours late last summer, Aimee or someone on her team from SD or Denmark jump into action and make sure that we reconnect with the trip and get back on track as soon as possible. We have declined some of her choices for hotels and had her book a hotel that we heard about or read about, and she has never given us any trouble or made us feel like she was pushing us to have to stay at any property that was more advantageous for her business. Her focus is to design a trip that YOU want to take, and we really, really feel like she is in our best interest all of the time. We've also booked less-managed trips with Aimee, where she helps us with hotels and maybe a couple of things in cities we understand and know. A memorable trip we took last year was when we went to Paris and Madrid to see Taylor Swift. We didn't want or need (or necessarily have the budget for) a full-service trip with action-packed private tours but she was happy to book our hotels, provide recommendations on what to do, and let us book other things on our own. From what I understand, Aimee has a team of professionals that work with her who help coordinate and plan and cater to many price points, but she specifically specializes in high-end travel with unique experiences. I love the fact that she always does a post-trip call (our previous high-end travel agent didn't do this) and wants to know what we loved (almost everything) and what can be improved (a few things) and feel like she really cares about your experience and uses the feedback to help us plan our next fabulous vacation and to avoid pitfalls that prior clients maybe have experienced. We are already dreaming of our next trip (with Aimee's help, of course!) and would highly recommend her for anybody who wants a customized, high-end experience (with prices to match!) that provide a good value for money spent.

We had so many "bucket List" things to see and do and she was able to fit all of them into the time we had. Jennifer found us 2 great boutique hotels to stay in in Paris before and after the Disneyland part of our trip. She also arranged the day tours to see the sites of Paris.
