Really fun 50s themed diner, the memorabilia all over the walls was awesome! Overall cleanliness could have been better but not anything too crazy. Waitress was very friendly. I ordered a BLT, the bacon was nice and crispy, lettuce and tomato seemed fresh. Also had a side of Saratoga chips which were good, although some were not as crispy as the others. They had a lot of good looking options in the menu, and while I didn't try any, the desserts sounded very good. read more

Charming 50's diner. Why arent there more of these left? Friendly staff and yummy food! Eat at the counter or a booth. We both ordered the Reuben and split an order of chili cheese fries. The Cowboy Burger is my spirit animal! Sourdough bread, 2 cheeses, an onion ring, and then top it off with that thousand island dressing. If you are looking for something lighter I'd recommend the Leann Bacon Grilled Cheese. And them French fried taters...mmhm. read more

We just visited Cruisers for the first time and already can't wait to go back. We drove 45 minutes. Before we went, we read reviews and saw a lot of 5 star and 3 star reviews. The 3 star and lower reviews said things like "I ordered the fish sandwich which was good, but their tarter sauce wasn't like Frisch's". Well Lady, you should have went to Frisch's if you wanted Frisch's. Another person gave a bad review because of Coronavirus. She should have stayed home if she was afraid of COVID, which has now been proven to be the biggest scam in US history. For the rest of you complaining that it's diner food, well .... It's a diner! Tiffiny was our waitress and she gave excellent service. I had a Hubcap burger, she had open face roast beef. Both were delicious You can't go wrong here. If you want fast food, McDonalds is up the street. If you want Frisch's there's one of those not far away too. But if you want to have good food in a cool little retro diner, this is a must try. read more

Love this place! Grew up eating here and will continue to visit while I'm home :) they have a breakfast special Monday-Friday until 11am that includes coffee eggs toast bacon or sausage and potatoes! Some of my favorite things are Leann's homemade cream pies (coconut or peanut butter), cheesy potato soup, burgers, grilled chicken salad, mozzarella cheese sticks, onion rings... It's all so good! This diner has about 14 tables plus a bar and usually 2 to 3 servers. Plays music from the 50s. They also have hand dipped milkshakes! And homemade blackberry cobbler! They are usually slammed on the weekends and lunch hour but in my opinion it's worth the wait. read more

This classic diner from the 1950s has a fun atmosphere, from the moment you drive up to this little shiny aluminum restaurant. The walls have the endless classic ads and posters to peruse. The menu gives you anything you could ask fro in a diner-- frid chicken, burgers, breakfast, steak, everything was affordable. Though everything was under $10, a lot of things (like burgers) were a la carte, and you have to order sides seperately. My husband and I got burgers-- and they were HUGE. Juicy, flavorful, pretty good. Onion rings were divine. Service was quite slow, but we were in no rush. That's why we were headed out to Adams county-- to slow down a little and just enjoy wandering around. Be prepared for a slow meal, but it does serve decent diner food, and you would enjoy your food with a lot of locals. read more

Bad experience this evening. Beef cabbage soup was lukewarm, almost what we'd call greasy. Tasted like strong boullion cubes with black chunks of something floating in it. My meatloaf was more cereal-type filler than anything, swimming in runny brown faux gravy. No flavor. Husbands country fried steak was a formed n breaded patty covered with instant add-water to make thick white pasty gravy mixture. Waitress failed to come by to ask if all was well or to refill drinks. When paying, employee asked if all was well and when I responded in the negative, she didn't ask what the problem was. Handed us our change and turned away. Even with very limited eating facilities in the area, we'll not be returning anytime soon. Saddens us as this place used to be a favorite. The last few times there, definitely the quality has gone downhill. read more

Stopped here at 8:23pm, since they close at 8:30 ask the girl behind the counter if they were still serving and without hesitation she answered "of course ". We all ordered hamburgers and cheese burgers with French fries and pepsi. Don't know about the rest of the menu but those burgers were the best I had eaten in a long time, my own included. The fries and onion rings were just that, the Pepsi was cold and burned your throat like it used to. The rest of the menu was pretty much regular diner food. I would definitely go back for the burgers and all of our group agreed. The wait staff was very courteous and never missed a beat in the service. read more

Cruiser's Diner is a true classic diner. I visited here on the eve of destruction, aka 12/21/2012. Wow what a great diner. The food in and of itself it just what you would expect from any diner, however it was perfect for what a diner does. I ordered eggs and sausage and quite honestly it was the best sausage ever. So much so I asked them where they got it from. I was told they could not answer but it was DELICIOUS. It figures that due to my health, I no longer eat meat. anyway...Cruisers was awesome. Great food, great atmosphere. Perhaps someday ill be back to try out some plant food. read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally decided to eat breakfast there about a week ago. I have to say the place is very friendly and the people are nice and down to earth and they welcome anyone. Now the food is the best I've had in a really long time. I would go as far as to say it's the best diner food I've had yet and I've been to couple already in different areas. I would highly recommend this place. If the breakfast is that good I can only imagine what lunch and dinner would be like. read more

Service is non-existent. Waited 50 minutes for food that never came...while I realize this is not "fast food", I budgeted an hour and left without eating because I had movie tickets. Have eaten here several times in the past few months. I try to time and route a trip so I can stop for breakfast or lunch. The food is very good diner food. As others have noted the service is not fast, but this is not a fast food restaurant. If you want it fast go to Mickey D's, if you want a pleasant relaxed experience go to Cruisers. Eg: 2 large homemade biscuits with a ton of sausage gravy runs just over $3.00, at McDonald's 1 reheated (say microwaved) biscuit with reheated gravy costs almost as much. Support small Mom and Pop shops or they will vanish. read more

50s style shiny steel diner. I had 3 dinners and a breakfast here while in town on business. The menu is a bit limited with burgers, sandwiches, steaks, chicken, and fish, as well as breakfast and dessert, but everything was well done. The young women staffing the place were typically pretty attentive. It is the best full service restaurant I found in the county, and it is pretty popular. read more

Service was SLOW!!!! Waited 10 minutes for salad, watched as our meals sat in the window for another 10 minutes before another server brought us our food. My steak was nothing but gristle and fat, mother-in-laws baked potato was half cooked and cold. My husband ordered the country-fried steak----it was small, needed a magnifying glass to find the gravy. Asked for more gravy- it also sat in the window for 5 min and had to ask for it. I took a taste of it and it was PURE salt!!!! Our server was more interested in other things and not taking care of customers. Will NEVER go there again!!! read more

We recently did a weekend trip and had the diner on our list of places to visit. We couldn't have been more disappointed. We arrived and the diner was moderately busy. The sign indicated that we should wait to be seated. We waited patiently (the only guests awaiting seats) for over 20 mins without being acknowledged. The staff was literally feet from us and never made eye contact with us, however, they spoke and waited on their regular clientele. We finally were able to get someone to make eye contact (primarily to ask if we could now sit where there were open/clean seats). The waitress then told us that we would have a long wait before being seated. Even though they have a large advertisement just before the diner, they obviously do not want to engage outsiders. We left and went to Blake's Pharmacy & Soda Shop and had 5 cent Coca Colas and a small sandwich. The experience at the Soda Shop was wonderful. read more
