Good cookies with lots of variety. Cake like and thick. Service could be improved, wait times can be long due to crowds

The team allowed us to do a tasting to choose our flavors, which was the perfect set up. It was a hard choice but we decided on the peaches and cream and pumpkin spice for our cake. I shared my inspo picture of a very intricate cake (which was literally AI), but Cardamom replicated it and made it an even more beautiful, real cake. I could not be happier with our cake. It represents my husband and me; our last name is Wren so there are beautiful wren birds represented on our cake. I highly recommend Cardamom Bakeshop to anyone and everyone!!

He started eating it as soon as we got in the car so that's why I only have a pic of part of the cookie. He saved the cheesecake for dessert that evening. He said it was delicious. I had half of the macaron this morning. I probably should have eaten it right away because it was a little dry. Also, I'm comparing it to actual French macarons I ate it Paris. It didn't measure up to the real thing. It is a quaint shop with a couple of tables if you want to eat there. There is a nice variety of cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, chocolates, desserts and cookies. Great place to go if you are creating a Dessert Charcuterie Board. Since the hubby is the one with the sweet tooth I'm basing my scoring on his comments.

Imagine a soft ball of bread acting as a plate for cooked apples, pears, sometimes cottage cheese. The Kolache Factory on 153 in Powdersville, SC, takes this simple but grand treat and expands from the sweet treats (fruit, cream cheese) to sausage, ham, egg, pepperoni, bacon, brisket, potato, and more. Go! Try! The Italian Chicken is so far my favorite. (If I have to choose.) Marinated chicken breast, cream of mushroom, and cheddar! They also have cinnamon rolls & twists, strudel, croissants, party trays, coffee, hot chocolate, and hot tea.

Conveniently right off the interstate with a drive-thru, Kolache Factory became my accidental breakfast detour. The buns were so so soft and slightly sweet, stuffed with fillings that somehow nailed the "not too saucy, not too dry" sweet spot. Basically the ideal portable food for eating one-handed. The Ranchero kolache was the winner for me: bright, fresh flavors over the heavier gravy-style options all day. The pepperoni kolache, though, tasted a little too close to a Hot Pocket. And the cinnamon roll? Perfectly edible and... completely forgettable. Pass on it and get another kolache instead. If you're into spinach-artichoke dip energy, the Chicken Florentine Stuffed Croissant will do you just fine. Only downside: the inside felt a little visually loud with coffee merch OMG everywhere and glittery holiday wreaths fighting for attention while I was trying to focus on my dough-based happiness.
