I spotted Pistachio Cakery while having lunch with my brother, and his daughter at Iron Horse Steamers from across the street. I had no idea this place was even in Easley. It's the cutest bakery. One of the owners(the Cakery baker) was so friendly and she didn't mind explaining what any item we asked about was and the ingredients in it. She even told us about how the name of the Cakery came to be, she also told us that she was from Jordan. Every thing looked so delicious, BUT on this visit I didn't buy anything(bloodwork is coming up). I only got a "taste" of two of the slices of cakes that my niece bought. One cake was a lemon/strawberry cake with buttercream frosting. It wasn't too sweet, it was just right and the bomb!! The other cake was an Opera Cake, it's made with chocolate and coffee, with a chocolate ganache between the cake layers. They have many different flavors of cakes, macaroons, banana bread and pita bread when they have time to make it. There are whole cakes and you can buy them by the slice. Some of the whole cakes were sweet potato cake, strawberry cake, Italian cake and chocolate cake. If you're in Easley stop by and check out this hidden gem, that's hiding in plain sight!

The pistachio cake is delicious, but somewhat expensive. I would consider it something for only special occasions.

One side has a bakery where you can watch the delicious goodies being made. The other side is a small cafe. Although there is limited seating I have never had to wait for a table. I haven't gone on the weekend (pretty sure the Sunday morning brunch would be a different story). A friend and I met for lunch at 1:00 pm on a Wednesday. My friend had the Café Club with the pasta salad and a sweet tea. I had the Quiche of the Day, the pasta salad and a hot cup of Clemson Sunrise (Vanilla, Caramel & White Mocha). The pasta salad wasn't my favorite-next time I'll give the potato salad a try. The service and food were very good. The café closed at 2:00 pm. Since we were still visiting, my friend and I grabbed our drinks and walked a few steps to the center of the lovely town square and found a swing to continue our conversation...but that's for another review. The Village Bakery & Café is worth a visit whether it's to grab something from the bakery and enjoy a cup of coffee or to meet a friend for breakfast or lunch. Lovely outing.

The team allowed us to do a tasting to choose our flavors, which was the perfect set up. It was a hard choice but we decided on the peaches and cream and pumpkin spice for our cake. I shared my inspo picture of a very intricate cake (which was literally AI), but Cardamom replicated it and made it an even more beautiful, real cake. I could not be happier with our cake. It represents my husband and me; our last name is Wren so there are beautiful wren birds represented on our cake. I highly recommend Cardamom Bakeshop to anyone and everyone!!

He started eating it as soon as we got in the car so that's why I only have a pic of part of the cookie. He saved the cheesecake for dessert that evening. He said it was delicious. I had half of the macaron this morning. I probably should have eaten it right away because it was a little dry. Also, I'm comparing it to actual French macarons I ate it Paris. It didn't measure up to the real thing. It is a quaint shop with a couple of tables if you want to eat there. There is a nice variety of cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, chocolates, desserts and cookies. Great place to go if you are creating a Dessert Charcuterie Board. Since the hubby is the one with the sweet tooth I'm basing my scoring on his comments.

This was my first visit, and to me it's very unorganized. People coming in and standing around waiting for either an online order before they came to the store, or an online order placed in the store, then you have workers trying to get out to take cookies to the curbside delivery(which was a lot faster than the other three ways to order). You also have the option of placing an order to a live person. After placing my order while waiting in line a lady asked me if I got my two free cookies, nothing was there to let me know this(on purpose I'm sure) there were other people that missed the free cookies. I got the four cookies for $14 and some change, I don't remember exactly, and the phone receipt didn't come up on my phone, this place is so disorganized. I understand it's new, but it's been open for several weeks now. Back to the cookies, I ordered online in the store, I got the two milk chocolate chip, the pink velvet cake and a banana cream cookie, that's served chilled. The chocolate chip was my favorite, these cookies are pretty big and they're big enough to share. The cookies was warm and chewy and crispy. The pink velvet tasted like a sugar cookie, the banana cream was interesting, with banana pudding and a vanilla wafer on top. Now the cookies do look like the cookies dancing on the website, and they have a good taste to them. Hopefully they will get more organized as time goes by or by the time I go in there again. The three stars are for how disorganized it is. Will update later.
