Absolutely Unacceptable Customer Service at Crunch Fitness I am beyond frustrated with the way I was treated by Crunch Fitness staff. I contacted them to ask a simple question about an unexpected increase in my membership fee--and instead of helping, they were rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in providing any answers. Not only did they fail to explain the charges, but they also made me feel like I was the problem for even asking. I've never been talked down to like that by a customer service team. It was disrespectful, unprofessional, and honestly infuriating. I'm paying for a service, and the bare minimum I expect is clear communication and basic respect. I went to cancel my membership 'just for now', and hadn't even been able to make it in 3 months while paying $30 each month. They just got another $30 from me because 'It will go into auto withdraw anyway because you're 10 days over the month. Are you for real?? I froze my membership, but after leaving feeling that way, like that gross feeling and self loathing, you do not care about your customers. You care about what you can soak up more for yourselves. I'm just gonna have to cancel on you. I don't even want to go back there. Your gym is supposed to always do what they can to get their people feeling good. This place is a freakin zoo! It's extremely crowded all the time and so difficult to get on a machine. Definitely ruins the workout experience! I noticed Soap machines in restroom don't work properly and people aren't wiping machines after use. This is an unsanitary disaster waiting to happen especially with the volume of people attending! This gym is a scam. They told my son he could not have a day pass without his ID and convinced him to sign a contract, told him he could cancel but when he tried to cancel they told him he couldn't. I have tried to call the Manger multiple times, left messages but he will not return my call. As most folks have commented, this gym is overcrowded, folks that don't know gym etiquette monopolize a machine, and if you ask to work in they decline, stating they have only X sets left. The noise level is obnoxious with the banging music, but you cannot hear the music portion as its one big echo chamber and if you're upstairs doing cardio, it's more amplified and distorted. However, the WORST part is, that the upstairs equipment is FILTHY, I have complained, and nothing changes. I now go through cleaning the stairclimber from the caked-on dried sweat and dirt, then workout, then wipe up after myself. I've taken photos and showed the front desk, useless. I'll be quitting shortly and if they try and continue to charge me, I'll cancel my card. read more

The Gym has chosen to only focus on training.... if you want a Gym that has a Bathroom that is available while you work out and one that meets the need you are trying to get with a membership, THIS IS NOT THEY GYM FOR YOU. Think i am wrong try and log one complaint.... you will see corporate tells you to contact the local gym the local gym will tell you to contact corporate or QUIT. They actually encourage you to QUIT the Gym if you don't want a trainer. If you do join ask them if there is always a bathroom available for all members..... They should credit people back for not being able to supply a simple bathroom. The manager Tony said and I quote "I can make it where you pay nothing because you don't have to work out here" really you cant do your job so you threaten to cancel my membership? I asked they do any the the following: 1) Get a male to clean the mens bathroom 2) Post in English when its closed so i can read it 3) Post the time during the day the bathroom will be closed and when it will open 4) If you want us to go next door to another store to use thier bathroom post that Come on why is this so hard to manage the Bathrooms. read more

This place SUCKS! People camp out on machines, there's a wait for every piece of equipment and it is damn near impossible to cancel your membership. They babysit the teenagers that come in. Signed up online for the free trial on crunch website and drove all the way to be told they don't accept free trial members. I will take my money elsewhere but thank god I didn't sign up because this place was PACKED. There were barely any open spaces to workout so buyer beware. read more

Let me be perfectly clear that this one star is for the new manager and Im assuming assistant manager. What I witnessed was such a display of poor customer service as well as how not to act. An African American member came to the front desk to check in. He drove his wife's car and left his key fob at home. Instead of looking him up by telephone number or email , she tells him that he cannot come in. That is escalation #1. Escalation #2- the manager says to the man "Im asking you to leave bc of your attitude". Newsflash he was in the right to have an attitude in this situation. Instead of stating a policy , she could've looked him up and moved on. I mean he did have his wife's key fob. Escalation #3- the call the cops. He informs them that he'll wait for the cops. Escalation #4- as he's waiting for the cops , a gentleman whom I'm assuming was another manager walks up to him and starts arguing with him. Why would he do that when he knew the cops were on their way. What I find extremely concerning is the manager who acted big and bad then went to hide in a corner. I passed her when I was done using the hydromassage chair. It was giving me "Karen" energy . I don't want to make assumptions BUT it is my opinion that she looked at this Black man of a certain stature, and went on a power trip. When he pushed back on the bad customer service then she said he had attitude. These kinds of racist microagressions have no place in the gym. Both ppl need better training bc I found it highly unprofessional that the gentleman who escalated the issue then came to my trainer (who is amazing)! In my session to comment on it. I am in the fitness industry and have been a manager at some high end places and I'd never treat a member as they both did. Shame on them! read more

The gym is great, staff is okay, but there's one dumb thing they do. If you have your stuff in your locker which is located in the bathroom, and then there's a cleaner that goes in and cleans the bathroom. Now while the cleaner does this, she CLOSES THE ONLY BATHROOM that the place has!!! Making me wait 20 min outside of the bathroom just to either go to the restroom or get my stuff! On top of that she IS TAKING HER SWEET TIME! She puts 10 "warning slippery when wet" signs to block the way in and adding the stanchion!! This is insane! Made me late for work! I'm giving 3 stars because everything else is just fine. read more

It's new gym where the sauna is broken 4 out of 7 days a week. I go because it's the cleanest gym around, it's well lit, & the equipment works. However, most of the time I can't hear my own headphones the music is so loud & the staff could address issues immediately versus avoiding fixing issues. If you have a hearing aid, make sure the battery works because the music is loud. read more

WORST gym experience ever. Extremely rude staff that is not helpful at all. They are SCAMMERS!!! Do NOT go to this gym. Go to a local mom and pop gym. Also was so busy and full of kids. The manager is extremely rude also! Tattoo covered manager literally threw my cash back in my face when I went to cancel my gym membership. Also I only signed up for a $10 a month account for a 3 month trial and tge 3 months they then charged me $20 a month and a $70 account fee and refused to give me credit or refund me. They also refused to cancel my account until I had to threaten to call the cops. They would not let me speak with an owner or higher up when I requested as well. Worst experience ever. By far the worst gym I have been to. It was very cramped even for 1pm. I went for a free trial pass. A man said that they usually only allow locals to use the free trial since my license said I was from out of town. After going over to a table to discuss the issue, I stated if this was such an issue, I could go somewhere else with my business. Buddy said I can workout while he kept my ID because he is "nice." Then 5 minutes later, I had to leave for a personal emergency and they tried to find my ID in the stack at the front desk. Turns out, buddy kept my ID with him in a back room. So shady. Stay away from this awful gym and it's terrible employees. Take your money and time elsewhere! Lost all interest in the brand after this. read more

gym is cool some staff is nice. on the other hand there is just one guy with a douche attitude. im not sure if he just hates his job or he was having a mid life crisis or maybe just a bad day you know? he looks like ken or the bf guy from barbie lol. with blue/green eyes. looks like he is in his late 30s maybe 40s, he was wearing them really tight jeans just to give you an idea of this guy. He about 5'11 maybe 6ft with his shoes. he took his time when i asked for him to hand me my ID back. He used it as leverage just so he could speak to me to try to make me buy a membership. so pathetic & unprofessional. why would i pay to deal with ur attitude? read more

Very unprofessional! When signing up they NEVER went over fees and state that you have to be at the gym for 3 months in order to cancel. All that was stated during my encounter when signing up was "it's 4 cents to sign up today and then $15 a month." Never brought up the fact you have to pay an annual yearly fee. Never brought up you have to be there for 90 days in order to cancel the membership. I call and tell them I want to cancel they said "We will give you a 7 day free trail and come in before it ends so you can sign the document to cancel." I come in today, now all the sudden they can't do that, "it doesn't work like that." All ridiculous. The gym itself is EXTREMELY crowded. It's not my ideal workout environment. I'm very disappointed and now have to wait until my 90 days is up to cancel a membership i'm not even going to use. Definitely need better understanding on how their memberships work and a better management. read more

DON'T GET FLEECED!!! A new Crunch fitness was built in my area and they bombarded us with new membership promotions. So since it was closer to us than a gym we use to go to (pre-COVID) and less expensive than another gym close by we decided to sign up. They're were real nice when I signed up. However once my wife and I visited the location after their grand opening, what we observed was unappealing. The place was packed with a ton of folks. It looked like waiting time for all of the machines. This is not what we were expecting so at that time we decided to cancel our membership. So I called the location to do that and this is when it got interesting. When I called to cancel I learned that I could not until having the membership for 90 days (which they say is in the contract). This means they get to take my money for 3 months even though I do not want the membership. Then when they took the second month's installment they also took the annual membership fee. So I called to question that as well and they simply explained that I could not get that back either because it was taken within the "90 days". This feels really shady to me because they're not in the least bit concerned about just taking my money although I am no longer interested in using there facilities. Just another example of a business establishment fleecing the customer! read more

I am so pissed . I tried to cancel my membership because I'm too busy and just not able to make it in at this point. I called and tried to cancel over the phone about a month and a half and a half ago and they told me I had to come in to cancel my membership... I was not able to get in there again until yesterday due to work restrictions and taking care of two elder parents and they told me that because I was close to paying on November 29 which is 10 days away I have to pay my payment in order to cancel or my cancellation, would not work so I begrudgingly paid then canceled... When I got home I looked online and noticed that I was able to close my account over the phone and realized I could've closed it a month and a half ago. This place is terrible !!! it is also impossible to get in touch with anyone at corporate and leads you down to the store level.. if you choose to go to crunch fitness beware they don't make it covenant to leave!!! read more
