I don't write a lot of reviews, but I feel like I needed to shout this place out. I live in south philly. No lack of great sandwich places down there and I think I pretty much had all of them. I have also tried a couple of other sandwich places in Wildwood and I really enjoyed their sandwiches as well (Russos and johnny longs both great), but I gotta tell you, this roast pork sandwich from Antneys was fantastic! probably up there with any roast pork sandwich I've ever had. The pork was tender and juicy and was complimented beautifully by the sharp provolone and broccoli Rabe. What made the sandwich a killer was the role. Chewy and crunchy at the same time. You can taste the freshness. The sandwich was actually even sitting for about 40 minutes before I even opened it and it still held up. I called the store and verified that they make their own rolls. An experience! I can see why fellow Yelpers love this pace. It's a casual atmosphere and walking distance from the convention center and a number of hotels. We were a party of 7 mixed between adults and little ones. We ordered burgers, cheesesteaks, chicken cutlets, fries, onion chips. Every dish was freshly made and delicious. I couldn't decide between Cutlet Italian and their homemade meatballs. I opted for the Cutlet Italian which was great however, the owner brought out a meatball for me to try....let's just say I'll be grabbing meatballs to go. If you are a fan of supporting local and tasty American fare this is the place. Price point was reasonable and you'll be leaving with a to-go box. I'll be back before we leave. The only downside for me were the limited caned beverages which were Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, or water. Amazing food by a local family business. Cheesesteaks are great. Rolls are to die for. And the business owner is a very generous charitable person. I have seen multiple Facebook posts where people have asked where to take individuals with Special Needs or saying that they're coming down on a budget and the owner of Antney's has stepped up numerous times and commented that the original posters are welcome to come dine at his restaurant on him. Went to Antneys today lunch before my wife and I left for home. My wife had the Boardwalk Wiener and I had the Chicken Crab A$$. We split an order of Frab Fries. The food came out as soon as it was cooked, even though they had many take out orders. The staff were all friendly and nice.
