Our favorite breakfast place in Cape May County! The staff always makes us feel welcome, the food is high quality, and management ensures everything is running smoothly. Thank you for making each trip home special.

"Well, my Uncle Bill's got a still on the hill Where he runs off a gallon or two The buzzards in the sky get so drunk they can't fly From smelling that good old mountain dew" (traditional Appalachian song) We had a few hours to kill before we caught the ferry to Delaware, so we were cruising around Cape May, and when we saw the sign for Uncle Bill's Pancake House, well that kind of made our lunch destination an easy choice. Uncle Bill's was jam packed and we were super lucky to get one of the rare tables for two. After we were seated, the next thing I noticed was the dining room seemed unproportionally staffed for the huge crowd. When we paid our bill, I realized why, when we learned that three servers had all called out sick that day. So I have to give a big shoutout to the staff that was on duty. They had to deal with much larger stations, more customers, and more meals per shift than usual. Oue server, Jamie, did a great job despite the heavy workload. He never stopped smiling and being cordial, so he did a nice job hiding the day's stress. We ordered Chocolate Chip Waffles ($9.50) and three scrambled eggs with a side of that New Jersey delicacy known as Pork Roll/ Taylor Ham ($10.50). Coffees were $2.75 each. My eggs were fine, and the two slices of salty yummy Taylor Ham were a rare treat indeed. Our breakfast for two was $25.50 before tax and tip. Bill's is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch, then closes at 2:00 pm. Breakfast is served all day with over 15 different types of pancakes, waffles, French toast, omelets, and more. They are something of a South Jersey shore institution with eight family-owned locations from Ocean City to Cape May.

Couple things to get right out of the way, just for informational purposes only. The place is mobbed so sometimes the parking lot is full. I've noticed people utilizing street parking across the street on Bayshore, which seems to be permitted. Also, it is very very very loud in here. Didn't bother me after a while. You kind of get used to it. I've been coming to the Cape May area for many years and I always avoided this place because I always saw the lines. Well now I know that there's a reason why-- The food is great.I love the taste of their pancakes. OMG why did I wait so long. Silly girl!!! They offer a variety of combo plates to suit everyone. Coffee is hot n fresh. Eggs seem right out of the bird. Servers run around in a frenzy to get your order in and delivered fast. The North CM location is on my list for repeat visits.

Came here with my family on vacation. Its exactly what you expect from your vacation pancake house. We were able to come here with our 2 and 4 year old. They loved their M and M pancakes. I really liked their pancakes. Eggs and bacon are typical. We bought one of their the-dye tshirts on our way out. Luckily we came for lunch and we didn't have to wait for a table.

The servers and hostess here truly are sweet and friendly. Uncle Bills is a staple in south jersey I'm imagining because of the diner atmosphere and vast menu. I ordered the strawberry pancakes with some eggs, Taylor, ham, and hot chocolate . Nothing really wow'Ed me but nothing disappointed me either. I loveeeee that they have a vast gluten free menu. I wanted to try it but was nervous because Everytime I decide to try gluten free pancakes I'm super disappointed but next time, I will rip the bandaid for sure. If you're in the area, and missing a diner like atmosphere, this is your place!

For our last breakfast in Cape May, we stopped at Uncle Bill's Pancake House! We waited about 15-20 minutes to get seated, and the restaurant was packed and definitely pretty noisy. We did wait quite a while to order, but tried to stay patient as our server was so busy boxing up takeout orders and trying to handle how many customers there were. The menu had so many great pancake choices, and I had the peach pancakes, which were unique as they were folded in almost crepe style. Everyone was happy with their food, and it's easy to see why it's favorite among Cape May visitors!

We LOVE our breakfast especially good pancakes and this place did not disappoint. Rows of booths & tables with a counter, modern diner and they do serve lunch. The breakfast was so good we came back a second time before heading home. The first visit I had the French Pancakes, sweet thin rolled pancakes with powdered sugar. The second visit I ordered Pecan Pancakes...buttermilk pancakes filled with fresh pecans. Both times hubby had Buttermilk Pancakes. A good breakfast place has to make good eggs and they were perfect. The staff was lovely, attentive gave us good service :) OH they have Gluten Free Pancakes!!!

Absolutely delicious food. Great atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Always a must visit when in the area!

Breakfast Special add bacon and onions and pepper to potatoes

my boyfriend and i have been on a hunt for good pancakes in the area and we were not disappointed with uncle Bills pancake house! The pancakes were extremely moist and fluffy. we loved that they gave us a big bottle of syrup instead of a small cup and a very generous scoop of butter! The breakfast special was pretty good, nothing crazy! we like keeping it simple. the potatoes were nice and soft with some crunch from the peppers and onions and a few crispy pieces of potatoes. no complaints! the service was great! our waitress was quick to take our order and checked on us a couple of times to make sure everything was good and to ask if we needed anything else. it was slightly busy when we went (breakfast rush) but we got seated fairly quickly. it has a more old fashioned look but that's what made it feel cozy and like we were getting a home cooked breakfast! we will definitely be coming back for more pancakes!

Great breakfast spot with tons of pancake and French toast options... so many to choose from it's mind numbing but each are good, so you cannot go wrong with whatever you choose. Service is fast and friendly, just like any diner type location in NJ. Coffee is decent and plentiful. Place gets pretty crowded, even out of season and even during the week but we were quickly seated and served.

I was recommended the tiramisu waffle and it did not disappoint. Loved it. Very old school diner feel. The beachfront location makes it an easy stop before heading to the beach, and the portions were generous. I'd absolutely return on my next Cape May trip. Keep in mind they do not accept credit cards and send you next door to get cash from the atm. There's no mention on this in Google and caught me and apparently the line of diners behind me by surprise as we had to pull cash for our meal after service. Would've been nice to know before hand but doesn't take away from the good food. Will return!

We were so impressed with their serving team, their offerings, and just the restaurant as a whole. The food was amazing! They had a lot of gluten free options. I think some places could really learn a thing or two from Exit Zero. This place is just super cool even if you just want to take home some goods from their store. We ordered to go because we had to catch the ferry but we did eat outside as it was such a nice day. They have these super cool trucks and vans that you can reserve online to eat in as well.

I wish they would add a dog menu. I love the vibe being an old gas station. Never been inside. They have a new menu since my last visit. I want to go back and try the Curry dishes.

It's easy to get to all the shops and eateries, but you aren't right in the thick of everything, which made for a more calm and relaxing stay. The hotel has complimentary bikes, and we were able to bike to town in just a few minutes. The hotel is small and there are only a few guestrooms. We stayed on the top floor and our window had ocean views which was such a treat. I was worried about the room being hot but the AC was extremely strong. Rooms are a bit dated and the carpet really needs to be replaced. The bed is super comfy and the bathroom is more updated, but new carpet would really make the room - the current carpet is like a funky green. We had to try the restaurant since it gets such great reviews and it definitely lived up to the hype. The lobster fra diavolo was sooo good and came with so much lobster meat. Breakfast is included in the stay and was so delicious. They have a screened in porch that overlooks the ocean and there's really no better way to start off your day. Everyone that works here is friendly and helpful, and there are little cute touches like complimentary drinks and snacks, a wine and cheese hour and beach items like umbrellas and chairs. Overall this is a super cute hotel - it's classy and beautiful and the perfect backdrop for photos, and the oceanfront location is prime.
