Very nice place . Service was great. Only problem we ended up at Northwest Texas ER on Sunday ...... Food Poisoning!! We had dinner there on 12/14/19. Infectious colon was the diagnosis , flu test was negative. My wife was in the ER from 5 AM on Sunday 12/15/19 until 10:30 AM. Going into Crush great health,coming out of Crush four hours later sick. Since we do not live in Amarillo and it is our closest large town we went out on date night. we should have stayed home. Cost more than the meal. This is one of the most interesting places to eat and drink in Amarillo. The tapas are all good, but my favorite plates are the hummus, the ribs, and the mahi tacos. The cheese and sausages are excellent. Furthermore, Crush has the best wine and beer selection in town. It's the only place on Polk to find a decent microbrew. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the owner is usually there to help out. I highly recommend this place if you're trying to get away from your ho-hum, typical Amarillo experience. read more

This place by far is the best in Amarillo....Chef Colby kills it. He even came out to say hi, the bruschetta had the most yummy tomatoes and the Ahi tuna and avocado was to die for.. I had the Norton Malbec and it accompanied everything very nice. The bartenders rocked and made me feel welcomed, the wine buyer was awesome and bartender dude with a cool mustache, gave me some good tips on which type of wax to use to get the full handle bars effect. I ordered the steak frites and my wife ordered the street tacos(vegetarian style;replaced the steak with mushrooms). The garlic aioli and celery slaw were amazing with the steak frites. Had a glass of wine that complimented the dinner real well. My wife had the blueberry cocktail and it was excellent as well. We finished with the Guinness chocolate bread pudding for dessert and that was amazing as well. For the wine people, there is a wine connoisseur on site on Saturday evenings. Very clean restaurant. Very friendly staff. Even the executive chef came out at our request and was extremely friendly and welcoming. Well worth your time and money. We went to Crush for the first time last night. The food was excellent. The Kobe Burger was absolutely the best burger my husband had ever had. The wine list and beer selection was great. Happy Hour prices were reasonable. We had a small issue with our food, and the manager went above and beyond to make it right and ensure that everything was perfect. Went for dinner, ordered steak frites and wife had the salmon with spicy broth. I was mind fked how good both dishes were. Tasty, cleaned plates. Tried salmon from wife's dish and it was prolly the best salmon I've had. Steak frites came with the awesome celery slaw, which was just fking awesome. Everything went so well together. The truffle fries are garbage from my opinion. I've had way better. But I see my self going to try the rest of the menu I'm sure I won't be disappointed. read more

I ordered the Filet. For some reason it came wrapped in bacon, which wasn't mentioned on the menu. My dinner companion can't eat bacon, so she sent hers back, hoping for a version without bacon. The kitchen said all their meat already has bacon wrapped around it, so she got a cheeseburger instead. Doesn't Costco sell perfectly-round filets wrapped in bacon? Did I just pay $32 for a 6-oz cut of Costco meat? The people were nice and the appetizers were appetizing, but... I only ate half of the $32 filet. It just wasn't very good. read more

The food was delicious, they accommodated my allergies, they had amazing mashed sweet potatoes but I think their crime brûlée might have been the best I have ever eaten. I really wanted to give this place 4-5 stars. With very limited options in west texas, this place had a nice ambiance, great wine selection and menu choices. The wine was great, the service was nice...then the food arrived. I ordered crab cakes and a house salad with chicken. The food was not terrible, but I was hoping for just a little more culinary love and effort put into the ingredients. The crab cakes are breaded with some sort of mushy mix, could not make out any real crab meat. The lettuce was fresh, but the chicken was not good at all. I think it was tyson's or some type of processed/frozen chicken. Why not opt for better quality ingredients, meat and seafood? It makes a big difference. This was my first stop while in town, and I was not disappointed. We started out with the Jalapeño Cheese curds and Corn & Black Bean Fritters. They were both fantastic. Deduct 2 stars after great wine and steak dinner ruined by loudmouth blowing a cotton candy vapor from a robot stick next to me at the inside bar. Apparently this is allowed at the bar which was inside. Even after I asked him to stop, the bartender was ok with loudmouth customer blowing the most obnoxious Cotton Candy flavor vapor while other paying customers were trying to enjoy $12 for 6oz of very good wine and $20 for very good steak. Perfectly nice patio outside with tables and chairs for blowing your robot stick or whatever else you want to blow while talking to your bro on your flip phone. Blowing offensive vapors on other patrons should not be allowed inside at the bar of this caliber that clearly prides themselves on their quality of food and drink. Even if it is legal. Nice "beer and wine bar'" and even better "pub grub restaurant." No smoking - yea. Best selection of beer and wine in town. Great outdoor seating on a busy corner (fun to people watch when the weather allows.) Knowledgeable staff. Ever changing, always tasty pub grub menu. Only draw back is that the place can be very, very pricey. IE: two beers and a very small appetizer can easily be $30. read more

First time I've written a review and first time at this restaurant. I had the seared Ahi sandwich which was good but not great. Ahi was seated but very cold in the middle and lacked some flavor. Had to ask myself why I would order a reared Ahi sandwich in the panhandle of Texas! Beer selection was very good. I sat at the bar and had very good service.
