I'm so glad I found this place on Yelp! Stopped in and the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They have a delish menu all made fresh. The soup sounded amazing but I went with the veggie flat bread pizza and was not disappointed: ate the whole thing! Fresh healthy and so good! The cider choice was top notch with their own pressed ciders and local selections. Affordable flights of 3 or 6! They offer grower fills and purchases. Music on Tuesday's and every other Saturday. Great variety of cider! My husband and I went for dinner and drinks and split a few flights of cider and loved trying out the local brews. There were many we didn't get to try but that's just reason enough to go back someday! We are vegetarian and the owner/chef cooked us up a delicious and filling meal to balance out the cider! AWESOME place! Went there with a friend pretty early in the afternoon and the owner was at the bar. We chose to sit there and chatted with him quite a bit during our visit. Super nice guy, and has amazing suggestions about all of the ciders. I got a flight and my friend had some beers. The owner kept offering us other stuff to try. There is a large selection of delicious and varied ciders. I didn't have a bad one! They had gorditas too which were delicious! Will definitely return if I'm in the area again! read more

They have a great location and now even offer food more often that is great, but the service is horrendous. Unless you are one of their 10 favorite people, be prepared to be ignored, not listened to, and have your order not be right every time. My family members happen to be a couple of their favorite 10 people so we have been there numerous times and it's always the same. The two favorites get service while the other members get ignored - so much so that the two favorites show up late and get their cider orders taken and delivered before the original party that sat down even gets asked if they would like anything to eat or drink. read more

Sloooooo food in all respects of the term. Our group enjoyed flights of cider and exquisitely executed food. Everyone was delighted with their orders. I would not recommend dining here if you are on a schedule, however. We were the only group in the restaurant and it took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Cornbread is possibly the best I've ever had. Service was attentive. Really neat to be able to get cider flights with so many choices. I usually get tired of a full glass of cider before I can finish it, so it was great to get lots of 3oz pours. Chili Verde had a deep and complex flavor but be warned that it might be spicy for you. Amazing ciders, delicious food and excellent service! We visited Crush on recommendation from our kiteboarding instructors. We are cider lovers, and after trying many restaurants and cideries in the Hood area, we were pleasantly surprised by the food and cider at Crush. They had 18 ciders on tap (!!!), several of which they brew in house. We each tried 6, and were blown away by the quality. The owners are so nice and the chile verde is fantastic. I had high hopes for cider tasting in the Columbia River gorge, only to have my hopes dashed when I found almost every local cidery uses sulfites as a preservative. I checked in with Crush, and they reported no sulfites for any of their own ciders ( usually 5-6 on tap among the 20 current ciders in house). So we were able to do a tasting of the 5 available Crush ciders - a very tasty selection. If you are not satisfied (want the BlackBerry cider just a touch dryer? ) they'll do custom mixes in bottles or growlers to go. We had a wonderful afternoon, got a bit tipsy, bought some bottles to bring back to our friends in Portland, and all with no sulfite tummy-aches! So happy to find such a wonderful local gem! read more

As a out of town fishing guide that travels to hood river frequently, crush cider is an amazing place to unwind with my girlfriend after a long day on the water. The staff is great and remember us by name. The rotating cider tap is always changing and always equally as good. My wife and I stumbled upon this place while looking for a sub sandwich (next door). Glad to say that we didn't in fact get a sub sandwich. Sat down at the bar and got a sampler to share. Great price and such an outstanding way to try so many new ciders. Sam (the owner) was really hospitable, and it's very clear she has a passion for good ciders. I was really looking forward to a meal and some great cider. We stop here every time we are in Hood River; however, I think I'll try another place next time. We had a disappointing visit--the cornbread was very old/dry, and the service was awful. We were totally ignored for the first 10 minutes while the waitress visited with other people. I'm a huge cider fan so I was super happy to stumble upon this place. They have around 15 ciders on tap, along with 2 decent beers. They have a small, limited menu that included a spicy dish and bacon popcorn! I did not try the menu but I did order a flight of ciders for $5 and ended up being given additional pours of different ciders the bartender thought I might like, based on our conversation. He was spot on! I really enjoyed a mix of a sweet pineapple cider with Crush's own cider...Yum! A brambleberry cider was another winner. I was impressed to see Crush had its local competitors' cider on tap; way to spread the love! I am telling all my cider-loving friends about Crush and I will be back! read more

We were spending a long week-end in Hood River and happened upon Crush Cider Cafe. What a GREAT find! Sam and Guntram -- the owners -- have put a lot of thought into this venture.
