For thin crust, this Crust 54 location beats the downtown location for the thinnest and crispiest pizza ever, this where it's at !.

Doebs has become my favorite slice of pizza I've ever had. The lunch combo is amazing value and hits the spot perfectly. The slice itself is airy and crisp. Very nice cheese pull from the first bite and not excessively oily. Perfectly topped with marinara more sauce that brings a beautiful balance to such a simple dish. The service here is 10/10. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the staff members and made to feel as if I was a regular. They explained the specials clearly and friendly and enticed me to get the lunch special which is well worth it. The vibe in the restaurant is similar to being in your own living room surrounded by friends and family. I ate by myself but I didn't feel alone in the restaurant. Everyone was talking and having a good time the music in the background was nice and you can hear genuine laughs coming from the kitchen. It's always nice to see happy staff members making delicious food. I don't know if I'll ever get the chance to return to Michigan but if I do this is a must hit spot. Thank you Doebs for ruining square slices for me, I doubt I'll find anything else to compete in my near future.

The crust reminded me of those crunchy Asiago cheese crusts and packed a great flavor AND crunch. Their ranch was blah (tasted like oil instead of actual buttermilk), but I didn't really need it because the pizza was so good, so I'll give that a pass instead of downgrading to 4 stars for dip. I really want to try to hand tossed next time, loaded up with pepperoni to see if it looks like those super crunchy styles I see on Insta. Next time for sure... or maybe I'll just get the Angry Little Crybaby Italian again. The guys at the counter were very nice.

Truly one of the best places we ate while in town. How good? We went three times. The pizza is out of this world. They know what they're doing. The beer? Also a 10/10. So many options that really set them apart. Each time we went the folks behind the bar and out at tables were kind and really on it. Finally, the outside area is a gem. Great views and baseball vibes.

He then proceeded to take everyone else's food order, even though they sat after us, prior to come back to take ours. We finally ordered and they pizza came out. Couple points in the pizza, it was good mind you but each topping is $2.50. If I get bacon on a pizza I'm expecting more than a sparse sprinkling of bacon bits on my pizza for that amount. If you order ham on you pizza they provide a good amount but the pieces of game are pretty large and tend to come off as part of the initial bite. They have a food runner that is delivering the pizzas so we didn't interact with the waiter again, no check in, no asking if we wanted another round of drinks. Multiple attempts to flag him down went ignored, I finally grabbed my own to go box for the left overs. I was finally able to get his attention after he made five trips to fill up a water cooler so that we could pay. Food & Drinks great. Service was dreadful.

The bbq sauce in the smoke house is super sweet in the best way. I'm not even the biggest bbq fan but I actually preferred that over the basil chicken. The inside reminds me of a diner a little bit, with the retro-style pleather seats and the Coke brand napkin holders. Had to take a picture of it just because I liked it! Food. The star of the show. AMAZING garlic bread. I had mine leftover the next day and it was still fantastic. There's definitely fresh garlic tucked into the cheese there. I split a 12 inch meat lovers pizza with my partner. They are very very generous with the toppings. The two of us very hungry people had to split our share of the pizza over two days. I don't remember the exact pricing, but it was very affordable. I do recall personal pizzas being $7. I came from out of town so I'm not sure if I'd be back. I'm a little sad about that. Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, green olives, and onions on a thin crust with just the right amount of grease. Exactly the kind of pizza you hope for at a neighborhood tavern. I call that "top-shelf grease." If you've never been, grab one of the "mini pitchers" to share with your pizza. They're smaller than your typical pitcher, but they've become our go-to pairing. Skiles has both a restaurant side and a bar side. The bar can get lively depending on the crowd, and with a pool table and TouchTunes, it's a fun place to hang out. They don't have one of the huge sports channel packages, so I wouldn't pick it for trying to watch six different games, but it's a great spot for good food and good company. Arielle took care of us at the bar and was fantastic as always. Friendly, attentive, and one of the reasons we enjoy coming back. One quick tip: don't assume they're open until midnight every night. Like many neighborhood taverns, they'll sometimes close a little early if things slow down. I'll definitely be back. Come here for: Thin-crust pizza, mini pitchers, and classic neighborhood tavern vibes.
