I love that she introduced herself, welcomed us and shared menu items. The tiger shrimp was flavorful and delicious! The Spicy Miso Chicken was not spicy to me at all. The chicken was very moist and tender. The sauce added an extra layer of flavor. Those potatoes were so good! I'm not sure what they had that made them a little green, but again, they were so good. The merch stand could be in a better spot, but this is an old theater and that wasn't a thing back when it was built. I was amazed by the size of the stage once I got to the floor. From the outside I had no idea how tall it would be. The balcony is huge and for some shows would be a great view. I was on the barricade singing along to New Constellations and The Midnight. It sounded so good and I can't wait to come back for another show!

And unlike the SF Mortified event I attended last month where most seats were reserved, this one seemed to offer ample seating first come first served, as well as a lovely outdoor courtyard with even more seating. Sound and lighting were ideal. The guest band, Hot and Dangerous, were hilarious and used lots of unconventional instruments along with catchy and comical lyrics, in between journal readings. They did amazing on stage, even though I missed the house band I saw at the previous show. There were bars on both levels, and just a small line at the downstairs bar before the event started. An hour in, there was no line or waiting at all. I tried one of their cocktail specials, the new parish punch, and absolutely loved it, strong and fruity with just a hint of spice, seems like they make good drinks here. Also, we arrived when the doors opened, an hour before showtime, and there was plenty of parking available just a block away.

The theater itself is absolutely beautiful and full of historic charm. You can definitely appreciate the craftsmanship and character of a venue that's been around for decades. My only challenge was accessibility. Because I require ADA accommodations, I found that there were quite a few stairs throughout the theater, and even the parking area involved navigating steps. I understand this is a historic building from the 1930s, so I know there are limitations, but I hope they continue looking for ways to improve accessibility wherever possible. What really made the experience positive was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating. No one rushed me as I made my way up the stairs, and they treated me with genuine courtesy throughout the evening. Overall, despite the accessibility challenges, we truly enjoyed the concert and had a great experience. The outstanding customer service made a big difference, and I'd certainly consider returning.

The staff is friendly; parking is convenient next door in the garage; plenty of restaurants nearby. There were also a few snack items and drinks available for sale. I was bummed that perhaps customer service and management aren't completely in synch with their own policies. I had written and asked if photography would be allowed since this was a Hawaiian show. I wanted to bring in one camera with an attached lens, no flash to take photos for personal use only. I was told that the policy was no photography was allowed. On the night of the show, the last announcement before the show started, was that non-flash photography was welcome. Oh well.

The other offers were wine and beer or a bottled pellegrini or a soda . The show was amazing and definitely a surprise and certainly worth the trip . Their Irish music was lovely fun they had sing a longs if you know the words . It was a nice evening an a lovely introduction to this venue .

After I got there and made my way up to the bar, I noticed that one of the other patrons had a drink menu with prices. So I asked to borrow it thinking that it was his own. It turns out that the bar had exactly 2 drink menus that everyone needed to share. Later, when the other guests ran off to the show (Jason Isbell) I grabbed a copy and took these photos. Expected to feel like we'd paid too much, but actually really enjoyed not waiting in a long line, getting a snack (pizza on this night), grabbing a few drinks and having comfy sofas to lounge on before going to find our seats. We also had access to a roped off area near the large bar just at the back of the general admission floor area, which was raised and where we had a clear view to the stage. We were also treated very well as we went back and forth from the lounge room to our seats, to the viewing area, etc. I'd do it again in a second. The only thing is I wish they'd announce what the snacks were going to be ahead of time. I feel like that could be easy to do and would be in line with their already good service. The concert was being shown in the Telegraph Room, too.
