Rapid Dry Cleaning did a great job. Called ahead and asked if they could come early! Yes-please…read more Came in assessed the carpet and then got to work. 3 bedrooms done! Will definitely keep this contact for future needs.

When their man (Cole) showed up all by himself I had my doubts right from the get go. But Cole was like a one man wrecking crew removing ALL the carpeting throughout the house. We left our home for 3 days while on vacation and Cole had the security code to come and go as he needed. He sent us updating pics of his work while we were on vacation showing his progress. What he didn't know was one pic captured the clock on the living room wall was indicating it was 1:50 AM because it was pitch dark outside thru the living room window. This young man was still on the job 'Getting R Done' I'm guessing Cole to be around 25-30 years old and if more of our youth worked this hard our country would be so much better off. His professional skills were EXCELLENT and his eye to detail was also EXCELLENT. He basically did this big job all by himself and I am very pleased with his work. I was lucky to get Cole from Rapid Dry but better yet Rapid Dry is lucky to have a man that loves to work. He never even stopped for lunch, just kept on going. My wife felt sorry he didn't eat for sometimes 12 hours or MORE so she would send him off with slices of pizza and ice tea she made.

In short: if you are in Palm Springs / the Coachella Valley area and reading this while having just…read moreexperienced a flood, forget any other "big name" flood response crew. You are not going to find a better team than this. Dan's team is exceptionally skilled, organized, respectful and most importantly FAST- and I wish I'd found them sooner! Full review: When our tenants called about a flood at our rental property in Palm Springs, I panicked and did what I thought was the "safe" move: I hired a big-name local flood response company with decent (but not amazing) reviews. Six days later, the house was somehow still damp. Progress felt slow, and even my insurance adjuster strongly suggested that I do my research when choosing the company to do the repairs once the house was actually dry. I knew I didn't want that first company doing the actual repairs. I turned to Yelp looking for someone who could move fast, work cleanly, and understand the insurance process; someone who could get the job done with attention to detail, given how much attention we'd put into our home initially, but somebody who could work super, super fast. I thought I'd message AVA Flood Restoration and just get a second opinion on how the drying was going. I was on my way out to dinner and Dan (the owner) said he could come over later that night. I was already impressed, but wanted to wait and see what he'd say. Dan came over right at 9pm as promised. He told me that for a house of our size it simply didn't have the right amount of dryers, and that the house should have already been dry given it had been six days. He told me he had a team ready to go that night if needed, but that either way, he could assure me he could work with speed and attention to detail, and had experience with other homes where design was a key element. I slept on it, and the next morning, fired the other company and hired Dan. He took over from the other company right away, brought in about double the number of dryers, and was candid that the prior team had cut corners. That transparency was a huge deal because at that point I just wanted the truth and a clear plan. He handled explaining what had happened to my insurance company so insurance could just pay his team directly rather than me having to act as a middleman. From there, the pace and organization were night and day. Beyond drying, Dan's foreman, Kody, led the rebuild and he's genuinely skilled. New flooring, drywall, electrical and plumbing repairs, cabinets, paint... the whole scope. The crew was also incredibly consistent: they were there every day between 7-8am, and if I had questions they took the time to explain what was happening and why. The #1 reason I'd recommend Dan is communication. I'm a millennial, communication is everything to me. Dan is truly next-level. He responds to everything, is always a phone call away day or night, and he texts frequent updates so you're never left wondering what's going on. A lot of contractors say they communicate well. Dan actually does. Three weeks later, our house was back together and our tenants were back in, honestly better than ever. They made a pretty awful experience as good as it could have been - an enormous thank you to all of you: Dan, Kody, Mike, Derek - while we hope we never have a flood again, if we ever do need a contractor for other work, we absolutely know who to call. By contrast, our neighbors up the street had a similar pipe burst a year prior, and it took them six months to get back to normal dealing with other slower contractors who just didn't prioritize them. If you're dealing with flood damage and need someone who will show up, follow through, and move with urgency, Dan and AVA Flood Restoration are the real deal.

We are snowbirds and were back up north when the flood occurred. Unfortunately we did not read the reviews on this company before hiring them or we never would, but we were in a panic. The first red flag should have been having to sign an open-ended contract with NO ESTIMATE of the cost. We were assured that this would not be an issue as our insurance company would pay and they were experienced in dealing with insurance companies. The second red flag was that the work was completed (but took over two months) and we still hadn't received a cost. Then when we finally got it the insurance company would only pay a portion of it as the costs were double what they should be for the work performed. The insurance company asked Flood Response to justify their bill but they never responded. The third red flag was their communication, or should I say total lack of it. They ignored our requests for any and all information. To make matters worse they convinced us to do the restoration work (this was before the issues came out about the mitigation costs) and assured us that we would not be out of pocket. Well, that was a disaster. They took 5 months to do the work. We have a very small house so this was a long time. Luckily, by this time we were back in Indio (we had to rent for several months) and could be onsite to see what was going on. People were there every day but very little was accomplished and most work was done so sloppily that it had to be redone. Again, their costs were well over industry standards. All they want to do is gouge the homeowner and their insurance company. I could go on and on about this problems we endured with them, but we finally got through the restoration and did have to pay them out of pocket but we did that to just to get rid of them. Then after almost a year from the flood, they said we owed them over $10,000 for the flood mitigation work and put a lien on our home. They will not respond to any calls or emails from us so we sent registered mail that has also not been acknowledged. Now we are going to have to fight them in court. Scott Young will probably respond to this review and say that he doesn't know who we are, as that is what he does for all the negative reviews. But he definitely knows who we are as he was our main project manager.

Roto-Rooter was a very disappointing experience. They advertised interest-free financing, but the…read morefinancing approval process was unnecessarily delayed due to issues between the financing company they referred me to and my application. I was told the delay was because they couldn't understand the pay period shown on my pay stub. The fun is they approved the financing without providing any additional documentation, so the whole purpose was delay the process to help Roto Rooter to charge the full payment. Also they offered the adjustment when financing was approved but never hear back from them. It was a rip off. Because the financing wasn't approved in time, I was pressured into paying the full amount upfront since Roto-Rooter said they couldn't wait for the financing to be completed. The entire process felt frustrating and misleading. After the work was completed, I obtained quotes from another plumbing company and learned that I had been charged nearly twice what the same root cleaning service would normally cost. Based on my experience, I would recommend getting multiple estimates before hiring Roto-Rooter and carefully reviewing any financing arrangements. I felt overcharged and would not use their services again.

I have never dealt with anything of this nature before . Turned to yelp called a plumber . ( should have called King's at that moment , however I didn't know) Plumber cleared clog , couple days later hour house started to smell. Come to find out the water was black water and worked into walls and carpet. Went back to help and Kings had good reviews . We called them. With-in a hour they were at our house . Juan was our original tech, ran test and determined that we did still have moisture in walls. Advised we needed to vacate house . Our insurance moved us into a hotel. Next day I met with Jared . Who explained the process. Let me be clear , when things are bad they are going to get worse before they get better. Jared explained they were going to have to cut our some drywall. Move cabinets . Run test. Ended up having to remove some tile and our shower too. Cause nasty water went everywhere . I was concerned what our insurance would or would not cover . So I asked Kings to please communicate with my insurance to make sure I would not get stuck with a bill for anything not covered . Terri and Jared were awesome they communicated the entire time. It's amazing that's company comes in and rips your house apart and you happy while they do it. After they were complete with there part , other contractors were brought in to put house back together again. What a process , hope I never have to do it again .
