Rapid Dry (Troy) was hired by us to restore our old and carpet covered Hardwood Floors. Due to dog pee stains they were forced to remove all the hardwood in the living room but just refininshing in the 3 bedrooms. Also I requested new hardwood to be installed in the hallway. When their man (Cole) showed up all by himself I had my doubts right from the get go. But Cole was like a one man wrecking crew removing ALL the carpeting throughout the house. We left our home for 3 days while on vacation and Cole had the security code to come and go as he needed. He sent us updating pics of his work while we were on vacation showing his progress. What he didn't know was one pic captured the clock on the living room wall was indicating it was 1:50 AM because it was pitch dark outside thru the living room window. This young man was still on the job 'Getting R Done' I'm guessing Cole to be around 25-30 years old and if more of our youth worked this hard our country would be so much better off. His professional skills were EXCELLENT and his eye to detail was also EXCELLENT. He basically did this big job all by himself and I am very pleased with his work. I was lucky to get Cole from Rapid Dry but better yet Rapid Dry is lucky to have a man that loves to work. He never even stopped for lunch, just kept on going. I hired Rapid Dry Restoration for mitigation and restoration for a water leak in the master bathroom last April. After they started the mitigation, they removed the free standing vanity from the bathroom, so they could dry out the floor before replacing the tile, at this time we had left for the summer. In the process they neglected to turn off the four shutoff values, because the main water supply was turned off. Several days later, my maintenance man stopped by to check my toilets and turned on the main water supply. Causing yet another water leak. I phoned them when my leak sensors said there was another leak, but they didn't get there for several hours, which caused more damage, in fact, damaging both of my neighbors (4-plex) places, as well. In the process of doing the mitigation and restoration, the workers would often leave the lights on at night, in variably on the weekends. They would also turn down the thermostat to 70 degrees, even though they were repeatedly going in and out of the condo and they would never set it back to the original temperature. This caused elevated power bill for several months. In late August we were on a vacation trip and they had indicated they were going to be done, so we decided to make a 600 mile detour to inspect their work, so we could make the final payment. After verifying with them three times to make sure they would be done, we showed up at 8 p.m. after driving for 10 hours to find they had not finished, in fact we couldn't even use the master bathroom. The next morning, we found 37 items that were not done correctly. They didn't complete the restoration until after we returned in November. The final straw was several spots on the carpet in the master bedroom caused when they moved the vanity into the bedroom and didn't put any protection on the cream colored carpet. They claimed this was water damage and that I should seek restitution from the insurance company, of course they knew it wasn't water damage. Actually, I could sight several more issues, but you get the picture. read more
