It's very cold, but somehow very enjoyable
    Jessica O.

I've been overtraining a bit and my body felt like I got hit by a truck, so I decided to give Cryotherapy a try to see if it would improve my muscle soreness. It was really easy to make an appointment online and I called ahead of time with some questions (number one being do you have to get naked but more on that later). I arrived for my appointment and filled out my registration forms on their tablet and then paid. (Bonus points because they have a special price for first time clients). I was led back to the treatment room. You get undressed and put on socks, slippers, thin gloves, and mittens, hop in the chamber, and ring the bell for the staff member to come back in. They raise up the platform so your head is at the top and start her up. Once the machine is turned on, you need to be constantly moving. The staff member in the room helps pass the time by talking to you. It's pretty cold but bearable. Before you know it, the three minutes is up, you hop out, get dressed and go on your merry way. I know you're waiting to find out if it works, right? I will say immediately after most of my soreness was gone and it did not come back. Also, I was in a pretty good mood which is rare because I am generally grumpy and mean. So, I will def be back for more cryotherapy especially after leg day when I have the worst soreness known to mankind.

I did the infrared sauna a few times and works really good! Easy to use, no setup, they heat it up for you.

Boost Wellness Review: Roslyn, New York…read more As someone who used to frequent public contrast therapy spots back in Arizona, stepping into Boost Wellness in Roslyn felt like an entirely different league. My wife and mother-in-law gifted me sessions here for my birthday, and after seeing the setup, I immediately traded my initial package in for a monthly subscription. It's easily one of the best ways to spend a weekend. What sets this place apart immediately is the privacy and the quality of the equipment. Back in Arizona, cold plunging meant piling into shared, public tubs and cycling through communal saunas where everyone is on display. At Boost, you get your own private rooms. My go-to routine is the contrast therapy: * Round One: 20 minutes in the private infrared sauna, which comes loaded with bluetooth speakers so you can sync your phone and play a podcast or music, followed by 3 minutes in the cold plunge. * Round Two: 10 more minutes in the sauna, followed by another 3 minutes in the plunge while stretching out to get the blood flowing. While they do offer a cryo option, I much prefer their actual cold water plunge tubs. Afterwards, I head over for a 10-minute session in the red light therapy room. Unlike older setups I've used where the light panels are fixed far away, their multi-light therapy panels are on wheels. You can roll them right up close to get full-body exposure, and the room has a nice built-in breeze so you don't overheat. They also have top-tier compression therapy chairs that double as actual massage chairs--brand new, pristine, and incredibly comfortable. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the manager got me set up smoothly on a credit-based system. Contrast therapy runs you two credits since it covers both hot and cold cycles, and the monthly membership gives me 12 credits to play with--perfect for hitting three solid therapies once a weekend. At over 50, I'm doing this to stay strong, mobile, and young for as long as possible. Whether you're already dialed into the science popularized by Wim Hof or just starting to look into the longevity and recovery benefits of cold water and infrared therapy, Boost Wellness is unmatched. The facility is spotless, state-of-the-art, and worth every visit. Highly recommend.

There is an excellent range of wellness and recovery services, including contrast therapy, infrared sauna, full-body red light therapy, cold plunge, and cryotherapy. The infrared sauna is a particular favorite, and cryotherapy has become increasingly appreciated with each visit. Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is still on the list to try. What truly sets the Roslyn location apart is the staff. Everyone is kind, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely interested in making each visit a positive one. It is rare to find such a broad range of high-quality services offered in one place with this level of cleanliness, care, and professionalism. Highly recommend Boost Roslyn for anyone looking to support recovery, wellness, and overall well-being.

The facility is clean and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. They offer packages for all services, which is wonderful to reduce the cost of each session if you plan on coming back. The sessions never expire and don't have to be used within a certain time period. The salt room is big and can accommodate up to four people. Adirondack chairs, pink Himalayan-tiled walls, salt crystals on the floor. A tablet is provided so that you can play any time of music or sounds, and you have complete control of the lighting. There is a machine that pumps fresh salt into the air as well. You are literally in a salt cave! It has wonderful benefits from relaxation to helping with asthma, allergies, sinus drainage, antibacterial and anti inflammatory aid.

They were right outside the door, and I literally couldn't believe how unprofessional they were. I'm trusting you with my body, and your staff has no training? This is absolutely unacceptable. She came in and tried to apply the cups but they kept falling off. I asked her if she knew what she was doing and she said yes lol. I'm guessing she didn't realize that I could hear everything that was said just outside the room. Suddenly she said she would be right back, and she got the owner. He took over for her, but it still wasn't the experience I've received elsewhere. This place is pathetic.
