Today was my first time floating. I was unsure of what to expect beforehand and was actually a little nervous. When I arrived at the Float Place I was greeted by Sam, who was so cool and helpful! She explained everything in detail to me and went over everything multiple times and answered any questions I had. As for the float, it was a very interesting experience that I actually really liked. Since it was my first time and I wasn't used to the environment and the zero gravity experience, I felt like it was hard for me to get really relaxed and in a meditative state. I definitely did feel very relaxed after I got out of the tank. My mood was boosted and my body felt great! After you float you go into a room that gives you a chance to relax for a bit. They have interesting books to read and provide tea and water to drink. The energy of this place is so great! I'm coming back again and I feel like my next experience will be even better!

Never again, it felt slimy and the temp of the water was colder than the air so it was totally uncomfortable.

He has an amazing gym area along with a spot for sauna treatments and also a float tank. For the movement session, Dan worked with me with where I was at (which was hardly working out at all LOL.) He worked with my body really well to make sure that I was doing activities that were fit for my level of fitness. The activists that he chose were we engaging and helped me to have fun while working out. He was also really knowledgeable about what different parts of my body he was working out and educated me on which muscles I was using and why I was feeling certain ways. My session with Dan really inspired me to continue to work out and find activities that suit my needs. I definitely recommend him for anyone at any level of fitness, or if you want a float or sauna session as well. What he offers here truly embodies a wide-array of holistic therapy.

Ripple Float is a beautiful relaxing spa haven located next to the Omni Hotel in downtown New…read moreHaven. My mother and I went there during the weekend of my sister's graduation from Yale's School of Management(Go Bulldogs!). We booked while we were in Philly for our layover and had trouble scheduling online so we called the office. Olivia immediately scheduled us for a full spa day on Sunday and then we decided to do a separate float on Friday before dinner. Olivia was so kind and happy to help us. When we arrived on Friday we were greeted by Jade to prepare for our float session to sign our waivers. We were taken to a beautiful room with cozy blankets, salt lamps and calming lighting to begin our journey. After watching the informational video for our float session, Jade walked us back to the our separate rooms. The space was so clean and welcoming. We each had our own individuals rooms with a shower, float bath, robe, slippers and toiletries. It was an expectational experience. When we came back on Sunday for our full spa day which included a 3 min cryotherapy session, 1 hour float, 1 hour massage with Jalisa and Stephen followed by an hour sauna session. The deep tissue massages by Stephen and Jalisa were otherworldly. I usually ask for a deep tissue massage but never felt that folks were able to get deep enough, this was not the case. Both my mother and myself felt that every knot we had in our bodies was released and cared for during our session. There were multiple times I felt that multiple hands were on me though it was Stephen and my mom felt the same way with Jalisa. All staff at Ripple Float ensured we were comfortable, hydrated with their many free selections of tea, water and kombucha (available for purchase). We are both looking forward to returning for another full spa day when we are back in the city.

They have a decent selection of music and lighting to choose from for your float experience. They supply ear plugs, both the wax ones and the ones that go in your ear. They also supply body wash, shampoo & conditioner. After your float they have a room with hairdryers and other items you may need to get ready. The Float itself was so relaxing. They said it takes about 45 minutes for you to really relax and that is spot on. The total experience is 1 1/2 hours and such a great experience. To be able to just unplug and relax weightless in the warm epsom salt water is incredible. After the Float staff checks in on how your time was and offers you tea or water and a space to continue to relax. Loved it there, love the experience & I look forward to going back! Well worth the money,

The guy at the front desk was very welcoming, he greeted us as soon as we walked in. He told us it would just be a few minutes while he got the rooms ready for us. He was very thorough in explaining the process and offered us waters and showed us where we could get some should we need more during our time there. The place was also very clean. They provide robes, towels, slippers, pretty much everything you need. I did the two part experience, starting with the sauna and finishing with the float. I started with the sauna where which was 45 mins then moved to the float which was 1 hour. The only issue I had here was that the sauna room was too small. I was unable to fully lay/stretch out on the bench, which would've made for a much more relaxing experience. Instead, I had to sit the 45 mins with my knee bent and the bench was hard on my butt despite them having a towel down. The float was by far my favorite part of the experience. It's right across from the sauna room. The guy again comes to take you there and explain the process in detail. There's a shower for you to use before you get in the float and to get your body ready and acclimated to the temperature in the float. There's float has light and relaxing music, both of which you have control of if you want it or not. I turned the light off initially but it was way too dark for me lol I felt trapped so I opted for lights on. The process was so very relaxing that I even fell asleep for a while. I was woken up by the audio telling me the float has ended and thanks for floating. It also tells you that it will begin the cleansing process soon so you should exit the float. As I was showering and getting ready to leave, I saw it going through the cleansing process which was good to see. Definitely recommend this float if you are stressed or just need a mental break. It was good to just be in there with you and your thoughts to reflect and detach and then eventually, truly relax!

This was a nice experience. Hubby gifted me a visit to Reset Float for an hour in their sensory…read moredeprivation tank. He purchased the experience from Groupon. I was initially worried because of a past claustrophobia event during an MRI (I'm not usually claustrophobic but I freaked out during my scan and had to be calmed down). Hubby and I had time off together and decided to take the trip to LI for my session. He booked one for himself as well. When we arrived, Raymond checked us in. He explained what we should do in preparation for the session and provided us wutg wax ear plugs. Each room is single occupancy with its own shower (with soap and shampoo), towels, slippers, and bacitracin (if you have any scratches on your skin). It would be best to not book right after shaving or if you gave open wounds, because you'll be floating in a high concentration of Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate), which could be irritating to cuts and abrasions. They provide the bacitracin for you to put onto any scrape you may have, which alleviates the sting. Once in the room, you disrobe and shower. You must be clean before entering the tank. The tank is like a clam shell, you climb in and use the "pillow" under your head to keep your head afloat. You're completely naked in the tank and you just float. Napping has exponential benefits while in the tank. Once you set your session, the tank does all the work. You can listen to music, adjust the sound, or just stay in the quiet room. I fell asleep a few times. Because of the high concentration of MgSO4, you're floating and have pretty decent buoyancy. I have locs, so I brought my own swim cap - I would suggest bringing one of you don't want the liquid saturating your hair. Raymond examined how to put on the cap, with the hair on the very top of your head, and the side of the cap covering your ears. I would say, however, not to cover your ears because it creates a spacc for the liquid to seep into and for that reason, I was a bit unhappy with what happened after my session. Once the float is done, the tank let's you know. You exit the tank, hop in the shower, and clean yourself. Once you leave the tank, it begins it's self-cleaning process. The water is swirling around and around and I'm guessing they use UV to help clean it. I did not realize that there was soooo much salt in the tank. I thought I did a good job cleaning myself off in the shower, but because the water got into my swim cap some, once it dried, everything that still had remnants of the water, dried white. Once we headed out, Raymond had water waiting for us. That was refreshing. You should not have a heavy meal or drink a lot of fluids ahead of your visit. I was wearing a black dress and the drips from my hair would dry on my dress and then turn white. You really have to rinse yiursf off very well. It would be best to schedule this kind of experience on a day when you have nothing else to do. I will say that for the actual experience, it was very relaxing and felt amazing but the aftercare was a lot, especially with the salt drying. I would do this again, but definitely will not be going anywhere else afterwards.
