Dr. Tsoi immediately recognized a severe imbalance that Chinese Medicine called yin deficiency that relates to bad blood flow and bad kidney function. He treated me five days a week for a while and had me drink lots of tea and take herbal supplements. The pain came down quickly and I no longer needed crutches and could live pretty normally. We went to 3 days a week, then one day. Sometimes pain relief is immediate, but sometimes it takes time. It took five years to get close to normal health despite continual improvement. For fifteen years, I have only gone once a month or every few months. I have stopped altogether for a few years at times, but my problems start to return. There was literally no wait to be seen as they have a system down. I moved from one treatment to the next without pause and the staff was helpful and courteous the entire time. Even the receptionist is always pleasant and personable, which is not always the situation because they are the front lines of unhappy and sick patients who may be in a grumpy mood.
