3/31/26 First time visiting this venue in over a decade, and have little to no interest in visiting ever again. Abysmal efficiency and service by concessions staff was bar none the worst I have ever received at a sporting event. Halftime of the Lakers Cavaliers game, I got in line for "Eats" on the Upper Concourse, and should've known immediately I was in trouble. Two vacant and unused (unstaffed) POS systems at the checkout area resulted in the line moving slower than the gridlock traffic fans sat through to get to the arena. Second half of the game starts, I miss over half of the 3rd quarter, including the play that John Ireland on the radio broadcast called the "highlight of the month". Hoping to get back in my seat before the end of the game, I cut my losses (or so I thought) and went for food at the adjacent Wetzels Pretzels booth. A booth that served a whopping 3 food items was down to a disgraceful one. Because ordering enough product to serve 3 items was unreasonable, I guess. Upon seeing my frustration, the wonderfully polite gentleman behind the counter responded with a kind "Well what the hell are you getting mad at ME for???" (I wasn't), and proceeded to put barely any salt on my salted pretzel. Got back to my seat to see that any semblance of a competitive game had vanished along with my patience. The goal was to celebrate a very hard earned personal milestone with this event, and it all ended with a big kerplunk. For these prices and the expected quality of the Lakers organization, I demand better. read more

Surprised my husband with a trip to LA to see his Rams play. Since we stayed across the street from the arena we decided to see the Lakers play ATL as well. He's a huge Lakers fan as well. We had a blast! It was just a joy to see him enjoying himself and the fact I pulled off the surprise! He's totally deserving of it. No issues walking in, pretty smooth process. So much fun with my family at crypto arena for the clippers game. We were in the delta suites and enjoyed a dessert bar and other foods. I love the salt and char burger stand, the asada nachos, and the yummy Blaze people. You don't even think about how expensive everything is until the next day. It's hard to review an arena cause when you've seen one it seems like you've seen them all. Well until you see Crypto Arena you haven't seen one of the best. For a building that was opened in 1999, you wouldn't be able to tell that based on how it looks. AEG has done a great job of constantly upkeeping and remodeling this arena and it shows. Not a bad seat in the house. The food choices here are abundant and the Premiere / Suite Level experience is top-notch. No complaints at all. read more

You can improve service at Yaamava Dining. The hostess at the entrance was excellent. He explained the service in detail. Once seated the experience went south. The waitress was short and rude and acted as if she didn't want to be there. She was very unfriendly. We paid a lot of money for the tickets and dining for five. My hamburger that I ordered well done was presented rare. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay wine, she brought me a beer instead. When we asked a question about the Al La Carte Menu, she became annoyed. We were told we could have two checks for our party of five and when we asked the waitress for the two separate checks, she refused. It was an unpleasant experience. read more

With our dinner completed at Smashburger, we cross the street to Crypto Arena in great anticipation of the Kings vs. Coyotes game. Simeon is thrilled to go to a live game again after we had gone to the Oilers vs. Jets in Edmonton at the end of December. The gate was packed to get in and some woman with a megaphone and a power trip started announcing that there was literally nobody at the open gate a 2 minute walk away. No one budged. I laugh. "Well, let's go see if she's telling the truth," I say to the fam and we head down to the other gate. There really wasn't anyone there so instead of standing in the cold (it was cold! For L.A. anyway) we walked into the arena and realized we were pretty much a stone's throw from our section... er, several escalators up and then a stone's throw anyhow to section 312. Somehow that mix of wafting food smells is nostalgic for me as I think about all the live sporting events I've been to (truthfully, it hasn't been that many so it's easy to remember them all) and we head to our seats. What I love about Crypto (which in my heart will ALWAYS be the Staples Center) is that I never feel like I've had a bad view of the game whether it's hockey or basketball. They really designed the arena well. The game was great, the DJ played lots of organ music which is again is classic hockey game, and they had a lot of fun games and jumbotron fun throughout the game. Between the second and third period I go to get a snack for the boy and maybe something hot to drink for the wife and I. The line isn't terribly long at the concession stand and you can now order at an electronic kiosk, but wait, the electronic kiosk doesn't match the menu which says they have hot cocoa. I ask one of the staff and she says they don't have hot cocoa. I point out that it says so on the menu sign. She reads the sign, turns to me and says they don't have hot cocoa. Annoying. Popcorn was good though. Kings and Coyotes go into overtime and we see the boy is getting really tired so we head out and caught the rest of the game on the radio. Kings win! read more

I like the crypt. It's a nice arena with convenient restrooms, good food and drink, and a very courteous, well trained, customer service oriented staff. I am a hockey fan, and I have always had seats in the 200 level. This Saturday, as my hubby is a veteran, we took advantage of the free tickets for Veterns. The seats were at the very top of the 300 section. Yup, nosebleed seats And guess what? They were fabulous! There is a fantastic view of the entire ice. You could see the puck! I had no big ol' head in my way. I missed nothing! ( I am a short woman, barely 5', and I never have a clear view of ANYTHING.) Yes, it's a trek up there, and the seats are narrow. Our row wasn't full, so we weren't squashed up. If you can get up there and heights aren't an issue, the nosebleed seats aren't bad at all. There is a love-hate relationship I have with this place! Still can't believe they changed the name, especially after Kobe Bryant, his daughter, friends, and family were killed in that freak helicopter accident! May they rest in peace! Even as a clipper fan, I miss Kobe's presence, and Los Angeles does not seem the same without him. It's like something is missing, but their spirits will always remain with us. I'm glad the Clippers will have a new arena soon! Staples will always and forever be the home of Kobe Bryant, Shaq and the LAKERS! My memories of the time I saw Kobe and Yao battle at the staple center are still vivid! It was an incredible experience, Yao had a double-double of 30+ 15+, Kobe had 50+, and the lakers won! Quite the show they put on and it was incredible! At that time, I secretly rooted for the Lakers since I could not attend home games for the Bulls. After all, even my Ma was a Yao Ming fan, so I couldn't decide which team to root for. The gent giant career ended too soon, but he had a great run! Wow! 7'6 athlete who could dribble around the back and go pass a guard. You can only find that kind of athletic ability in the pros! My love for the game was too strong and I only wanted to watch basketball played at the highest level, so I went to see the Clippers, and that was the beginning of something very special for me, as now I am a die-hard fan and Steve Ballmer has turned the franchise into a contender with his wonderful ownership. Great arena! Clean, lots of food and bar drinks to choose from. Went first to a hockey game and sat behind the visiting team, go Devils! Obviously it was very difficult to see the game in these seats but it was fun because you feel like you're part of the game and celebrating with your team after each goal. Then the next day went back for a Lakers game where we sat in the nose bleeds but I was surprised at how great the view was from these seats. I could see everything really well and followed the game. Don't hate the nose bleeds during a basketball game. One annoying thing that happening at this arena was all the seat hoppers. Each time we arrived to the game, whether our seats were first row or row 300, there were people in our seats!! It was so annoying asking them to leave or needing the usher to get them to move. Also, my word of caution, DO NOT eat the hot dogs outside the game no matter how good they appear to smell. I took a bite and immediately spit it out. We are big Bucks fans, so we went and saw them play against the Lakers/Clippers during a back to back game for them. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of both of the games. The workers were are so friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean too. We also loved how many food options there were as well! We had tickets for the Clippers/Bucks within the "club" level, so it was nice to have those amenities while still being in normal seats. The Golden Road Brewery inside was so cool and a great place to hang out. We also liked they had an outdoor seating area within the game to get some fresh air. Would definitely recommend seeing a game or concert here! read more

I want to say coming here I was mad about the bag policy for Friday kcon 2025 concert, the fact the bag policy keeps changing to smaller and clearer for no reason, small sized bags can still carry dangerous things thats why bag checks and metal detectors are for. My already small bag was an inch bigger than the printer paper and they forced me to check my bag in the paid lockers, ridiculous! Security was rude about it, I brought back a plastic bag the locker people gave me (which was huge) and security didnt search me or the bag at all I didn't even walk in the metal detectors so what was the point. Anyways what saved the day was your bar/concession workers at the VIP PR09 Bass Stop area, they were super nice and helpful with the wetzel pretzel. So you go back up a star. Change your bag policy to be reasonable next time. The desperation to charge us for anything is wild. Lucky your Bass Stop Bar workers were beyond kind. read more

A beautiful venue for a Laker basketball game. Never been there for hockey or a concert but pretty sure those are nice experiences as well. A state of the art facility that has a huge parking structure right next to it for easy parking. Plenty of food options and a nice Laker gift shop full of shirts, basketball jerseys and memorabilia. Entering Crypto Arena was painless and we were greeted by the Laker girls inside. The ladies are just the best and represent the team well. They made everyone in the family feel welcomed. It was my grandson's first time at a pro basketball event. The excitement was high and the game was intense. Unfortunately the Lakers lost but it was still an unforgettable moment for him and the rest of the family. We live in San Diego but it was worth the two hour drive there and back. Will definitely be back. Would be sooner but the distance is definitely a thing. Pretty jealous. San Diego doesn't have a basketball team. Maybe someday. I've been here multiple times. I rent suites here for my clients, family & staff for event outings. Well today really really rubbed me the wrong way. I booked a suite for my son's birthday to see Monster Jam. Usually when we book suites we have to use the VIP entrance. The first issue I found was no VIP parking. We had to park across the street & walk over. Usually we just pay for VIP parking. My rep didn't tell me there was no VIP parking. Ok. No problem. We finally park & walk over to the VIP entrance, I have on my purse that I usually use when I go to our suites. I specifically wore this purse because I knew it was the size I could use to take in. The first security guard didn't give me a problem. When I get to the door the female security tells me I can't take my purse inside and she has to double check with the supervisor. I see them have a side bar and he approaches me to tell me I can't take my purse in because of the size and event type. I explain to him I bring this purse every time I come. He tells me I can't bring it in and I have to take it back to my car. Umm what?! By this time the show is 20 mins in and I'm stuck at the door with my purse! My husband takes my purse back to the car which is not close!! At this point I'm beyond annoyed because I'm seeing other women with bigger purses walk freely throughout the arena while I'm stuck outside and my husband is walking back to put my expensive purse in the car in an underground parking lot!!! I told the supervisor Muhammad that I just saw a few women with bigger purse that mine walking freely and he says there's nothing he can do about that. What do you mean? You literally inconvenienced me and my family on my sons birthday, but you can't say anything to anyone else? I feel he was just being a jerk! This was confirmed when another supervisor by the name of Darnell was asking him why I had to take my purse to the car. The jerk supervisor Muhammad told him because of the size and he's like I would've let her in. In other words, he made the wrong call. Darnell was nice and very helpful. He understood my frustration. What's the use of paying more for suites to be inconvenienced, treated unfairly and unnecessary power being exerted by passive aggressive security supervisors and their jealous minions? I've never been treated rudely at any of the other venues I book suites at. Never had a problem with my purses. But with Crypto, they have really poor customer service when it comes to security. The event was great even though we missed half of it because of my purse and top flight security. That's the only reason I gave 2 stars. I'll be reaching out to our representative about compensation. I am reluctant about booking suites here now. I was looking to book a few hockey games and comedy shows for the upcoming months. I'm definitely rethinking that. First time at this venue. Saw the Missy Elliot show here on 11 July 2024. We didn't have great seats but the acoustics were terrible. And they didn't turn on the big screens for people up high to see the show. The seats were extremely narrow, my friend couldn't even sit back in her seat. And the vendors are an absolute ripoff. $72 for a coke, a bottle of water and 2 canned cocktails. Posted a picture of my receipt from the "Just walk out" Vendor as a warning to others. *Just Say No Crypto* Born & raised in LA and this will always be the Staples Center to me and I can't seem to find it in my heart to call it Crypto Arena. (especially with all the years I used to have season seats for the Lakers & Clippers) Parking nearby is complete sticker shock - $30! My buddy said some nights it's $40 in the lot he usually parks at between Flower & Figueroa. The concession stand prices are a sticker shock too - glad I brought my own snack & bottled water. I checked out the pre-made sushi place for future references - $17 spicy tuna rolls & $15 imitation crab rolls and (((drumroll please))) $27 for 6 pieces of sushi = no thank you. We saw an epic & unusually high-scoring hockey game but unfortunately the LA Kings lost in overtime 9-8 to the Seattle Kraken. The main issue of the night tho was my buddy is disabled and handicapped...and when we tried to enter the arena at his usual entrance for season ticket holders, the area was blocked off with street vendors in booths selling food and souvenirs. I'm all for the hardworking street vendors trying to make a buck. But. My buddy is disabled & handicapped and it was nearly impossible for him to get through the walkway - it was even difficult for me too and I got cut-off by someone who bumped into me trying to maneuver their way through the street vendors because they were in such a rush to enter the arena. When they saw my buddy was disabled & handicapped, they were apologetic. But my main point here is...this is a complete violation of the Disability Act and according to my friend, lately this has been ongoing, despite his complaints to management, and he claims this issue never occurred when it was the Staples Center so I don't know if this is just a coincidence or not. But the Crypto people better get THEIR ACT TOGETHER and start adhering to the law & the Disabilities Act, ASAP. Because they are in complete violation of the handicapped & disabled rights and safety. read more

So many memories here- Clippers, Kings, globetrotters, concerts. It's an arena. Upper seats are pretty close together. Check with the team group sales and you may be able to get cool experience with enough tickets sold. Parking can be a pain- lots of local places, some mislead (one that says $10, but they mean $10 first hour, $35 if you go over). Go to games early, lots of teams do things like poster making, photo ops, etc. read more

The tickets are cheap but you're better off paying $100 more for an actual experience with better seats. Tbh don't even do that, see your favorite artist/band/DJ at a different venue. What I don't understand is that they have speakers on the upper level that aren't used during the show, just first level. Go to a club you'll have a better listening experience there. read more

Clean, spacious, and the seats were the most comfortable seats I've sat on in an arena. It was nice and cushiony, not the hard plastic or the ones that you can feel the springs bouncing as you're sitting. The only downside is that it's located in sketchy Downtown LA, I would stay at a hotel right across the street if you're traveling or park onsite/take an Uber if you're a local since who knows if you can trust dropping you car randomly somewhere.
